2 out of 5 eggsOk video card

Pros: Easy to set up and to make adjustments and provides a great picture for gaming. Running both versions of Dragon Age and The Witcher 1 and 2 with no issues. Great framerate with very little to no lag.

Cons: Well the outputs stopped working after about 8 months. In the process of an RMA so waiting for approval and to be able to send this one out and get a new one. First video card I have owned where I have had to replace it to due to it failing. Luckily I have my old video card (which isn't horrible) to fall back on while this is resolved.

Other Thoughts: I was going to give 3 eggs but dropped it to 2 since after only 8 months of regular use it stopped sending the video signal. I tried both DVI and HDMI and both were no longer working. Was a good card until this point. Hopefully the new one works just as well and will not have this issue.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear you had to RMA your graphics card. If you run into any issues with the replacement please contact me directly so I can assist you personally, Matth@evga.com

Regards,
Matthew Hurwitz

Pros: Temperature stays constant low with stock fan while playing Crysis on highest graphics setting.
Very Quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this, but wait till its on sale... since now its outdated, and you can find a cheaper one thats better (450 gts turbo for $100).

5 out of 5 eggsDelivers

Pros: Extreme improvement over my EVGA GeForce 6800 GS cards. I know, 6 years old, but I got some miles out of em. I mostly play MMO's on my computer and do financial stuff so this card handles that smoothly. Maxed out settings nets me 51C. Great price, setup was simple and fast, thinking about purchasing another to run SLI.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My aging rig...still runs great though

Gigabyte GAK8N Pro SLI
Corsair Dominator DDR400 2GBx2

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a Surprise !

Pros: Well made. Good heatsink with a good size fan. Which makes it both cool and quite. 1 GB of mem. Good overclocking potential if needed.Fit my mid atx case.Good price.Plays my older 2D/3D games. And it turned on !!:]

Cons: Not a one

Other Thoughts: This replaced a 9800gt w/Zalman VF-900CU cooler. And boy was I surprised. My new card runs cooler than the 9800gt!!!With the card maxed out and every game maxed out my temps never exceed 54c. And thats at 1680x1050 and right out of the box with the room at 70f.
And boy what eye candy this card delivers. With the texture filtering quality set to High Quality. The AF at 16x and the AS at the games max or 16x.My new build finally feels new. From the desk top to Photo Shop.Movies to games. No glitches or stammers.I couldn't be happier since I'm still using WinXP pro and directX 9.0c !! I see no need to overclock it right now.

5 out of 5 eggsFull Video Functions

Pros: Excellent card! Windows 7 recognizes card and automatically sets the resolution to the highest quality. Also, this card works out of the box with OSX 10.6.6 with quartz enabled, OpenGL and Core Image. Fan is quiet.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsBargain Board with some drawbacks

Pros: Easy to install.
Plenty of features for the price.

Cons: Odd placement for some connectors (4-pin power)

Lack of 140 W processor support.

With Windows 7, will need to update to the Microsoft provided driver update for the Realtek onboard NIC through windows update, otherwise suffer BSOD sporadically.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I would count this as a decent low end board. The Realtek driver issue was annoying, but the MS update resolves the issue.

Presently, this board, despite known good hardware replacements, is producing many issues with post and BSOD's various in nature. I will be seeking an RMA through the manufacturer. I do not believe these to be issues that span the product line.

1 out of 5 eggsNoisy

Pros: Faster then what I had, but not by much.

Cons: Noisy, noisy, noisy. The fans spins at 100% and cannot be adjusted, why would you build a video card like that?

Other Thoughts: When I bought it 1-2 months ago it was $55 after rebate but I still returned it, It made my computer a vacuum cleaner compared with how quiet is now.
