5 out of 5 eggsMajor improvment from 9800 gtx

Pros: Smaller than my EVGA 9800 GTX+ SC in SLi, DX11, HDMI out. I can now run AA at 8x and higher depending on games and paired with one old card for PhysX I'm rockin!

Cons: None so far, EVGA has not let me down in the last 4 years so I'm sure there wont be any cons to come. I have read that these cards are not too good for folding, we'll see. 9800's did just fine...

Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 @ 3.2Ghz CoolerMaster V8
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
EVGA 780i (TR) SLi
1 EVGA GTX 460 F.T.W. & 1 EVGA 9800GTX+ Superclock for PhysX

Thermaltake 850W modular
Themaltake Spedo Case (1x240mm, 3x120mm, 2x80mm)

1 out of 5 eggsCard failed

Pros: Card looks nice, clean, has all the needed accessories. Much smaller than the GTX260 I had before.

Cons: This card is very unstable. I couldn't even get it to work properly on anything other than a blank desktop. Tried working with EVGA tech support to resolve issues. See below.

Other Thoughts: After installing the card, I noticed my computer would crash whenever trying to run any sort of game (WoW, MW2, crysis, etc) or other graphic intensive program. I was running 2x GTX260s before with no problem. As soon as I changed out to 1x GTX460, (including driver sweep and reinstalling as needed), nothing was working correctly.
I worked with EVGA and they had me test my RAM, swap out with my old video cards, etc. and everything else was working. After setting up and RMA and paying twenty dollars to send it back in, I was sent a replacement card that wasn't even the same card. It was the 01G-P3-1370-TR... a card that is about twenty dollars cheaper. So, I'm out nearly a month's worth of time and $40 to get a recertified card that is inferior to the card I purchased.
I've contacted EVGA about this situation. Hopefully they will respond in a timely manner.

Otherwise, I've always loved EVGA products. My other cards/mobo have no problems.

2 out of 5 eggsDies when having to run

Pros: Good Performance ratings, seems to be good performance for the money

Cons: Died on me within 15 mins of using the card in game. Error repeats itself on consistent basis despite the fact that the card runs at no more than 65C in game. Even with all the settings turned down and the card running at around 53C, the video feed will still cut out at random. Checked all system components several times to make sure no errors were because of compatibility problems. Now have RMA out to return the card after tech support has ruled the card faulty.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be a lot of people who are having problems with the 01G-P3-1378-TR model of the product. Would steer clear of this model and go for one of the others that has a better quality rating to them.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price on great card def beats the gtx 260 i had prior. also the extra cooling on this one is a pro even in a full size case

Cons: Her many people get defective cards. making me wonder how long even a good card will last before being defective. also sounds like a blow dryer and there not kidding when u hear it its very loud when it has to kick up the cooling.

Other Thoughts: had to return mine after a week since it crashed on anything direct x 11 and 50% of the direct x 9 applications i played.
Minecraft being one (for those who don't know this is like nothing for the card. basic low power game to play.
just before crashing it would kick fan on to highest speed then just crash. not sure i will but anther even know i like the price for the buck. (first one was sent back and refunded)

5 out of 5 eggsFast fast fast

Pros: This card is fast, stable, and quiet. I'm very pleased with this card overall.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: After upgrading from an EVGA GeForce 7800GS, which was fast in itself, it's hard to believe how much can change in 3 years.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance, handles everythng

Pros: This card is a complete beast, i have plans for another for SLI, The first card i had ended up being defective, i sent back for an RMA, had to pay shipping twice, and then the card turns out being back orded now, so they canceled my RMA, and just refunded, which is a little annoying, but i'll deal with it.
Card plays every game I've thrown at it at the very max settings, with a resolution of 1804-1014

Cons: If you like the sound of an airplane engine, turn the fan up to 100%, this fan is intense, The card idled at about 31-33, and was at about 42-45 under a load, but my computer itself idles at about 21, So results may vary.

Other Thoughts: I feel (felt) like my system was no longer bottlenecked at all, and i could feel a major performance gain, card scores a 7.7 in the windows performance assessment. Overall, I'm very happy with the card, I think i will buy my next through Tiger Direct so I don't have to wait for Newegg to get some more cards in, just because I didn't have luck, doesn't mean you wont. Get this or the GTX 580.

1 out of 5 eggsFolders Beware

Pros: Relatively quiet in comparison to higher up models.

Cons: Runs hot when Folding. Both of mine have been caught down clocking themselves to half of full speed while folding. Even when they do work right, the least expensive model with 768 megs of memory will out perform this by 3k PPD. Both of them finally failed today.

Other Thoughts: Not suitable for the job I bought them for.

Buyers beware - EVGA models with a part number ending in TR have a lesser warranty than do those with an AR at the end.

EVGA's people are very good to work with on problems such as this however and a very gracious replacement offer was made. Great company to deal with.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Not overly hot running or too noisy.

Cons: POOR performance for F@H

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these things for Folding @ Home and very disappointed. Shader overclocking is very limited. The basic GTX-460 with 768 megs or 1 Gig of memory will overclock better than this model and produce 2000 PPD more.
