2 out of 5 eggsHope the second one holds up

Pros: Inexpensive, fanless design for quiet operation.

Cons: lasted less than 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Installed this in a Supermicro server for basic video capabilities without having to worry about replacing a fan in a server that runs 24/7. Tested for a week before delivering to avoid any defective parts. Installed server on a Friday; the video card embarrassingly failed and locked up the server on Monday, the first day back in production. Luckily had another in stock to do a quick replacement. This has not been typical of EVGA and I hope it's not the direction they are heading.

4 out of 5 eggsHeat

Pros: good graphic for what it is for lite gaming see cons

Cons: Make sure you have a well colded case at least one cooling the card itself any gaming will cause the card to heat up and burn learned this the hard way worked well for 1 month then went away of smoke my fault for not watching the temp

5 out of 5 eggsGood Choice

Pros: I installed this to be able to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP on my desktop. I chose this because its fanless, so it's quiet, not a gamer this does everything I need at a reasonable price.

5 out of 5 eggsGeForce 210 512MB KR

Pros: 1) Inexpensive
2) Hardware easy to install
3) Painless driver updates get you up and going in a snap
4) Decent construction

Cons: None, as long as you understand you're buying a no-frills card.

Other Thoughts: I needed an inexpensive card to replace my dead 9800GT to simply get back up and running. I picked up the 210 due to it's price point., but I also wanted the ability to play some old school games on top of my basic computer needs.

While this is no true gaming card, it can handle a little bit of a load. I tried pushing its limits with some demos on Steam, and at low to medium settings with about 25 to 30 fps average, it managed to run...

Kayne and Lynch: Dog Days
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Amnesia: The Dark Descent

My guess it could probably run most things made before 2008 with a little graphical sacrifice, and even some modern ones as long as you don't require silky-smooth FPS. Definitely not an enthusiast's card in the slightest (you'd kill it with Battlefield IMHO), but it's powerful enough for some casual time-wasting on a low-end rig.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for about eight months, then jerky video

Pros: Worked as expected for eight months.

Cons: Began acting up after about 8 months of use; jerky video on youtube video playbacks.

5 out of 5 eggsEASY overclocker, runs cool and quiet

Pros: I inherited an old Asus motherboard and built a basic system around it. I was looking for a simple video card to watch vids, browse the web, and had *some* OpenCL/CUDA to tap into for apps that can take advantage of it.

Out of the box, this sucker ran nice and cool. But, it could do much better. Took off the heatsink, put some Arctic Silver under there and fired up a bootable XP disk and used NiBiTor to overclock the heck out of this little wonder.

I was able to get an 11% across the board overclock without it blowing up or breaking a sweat. I dropped the lower end a bit more than what the factory set it to help it run even cooler. After overclocking it made my Windows score go up .2 from the original factory speeds. It's a win win for me!

Cons: But can it run Crysis? Maybe, I don't know. I am not a gamer.

Other Thoughts: This card is for those of us to whom the idea of a video card should be something which *doesn't* require a 2000WATT power supply just to run nor something that takes up *TWO* card slots not something that has 3 fans and sounds like a jet taking off under load. Seriously. I am old enough to remember Vesa Local Bus cards that *barely* fit in my case much less when you needed fan cooling to keep your video card cool from running some simple OpenGL stuff. I don't want to hear my video card at all. The loudest thing in my system should be my PSU fan. As it is right now, it is

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the time/money

Pros: Inexpensive and very quiet

Cons: Overheated almost immediately even with several direct fans and nearly no graphic card accelerated activity. Bought this card to add into a business computer for spreadsheets and word processing.

Other Thoughts: Save yourself the time and money and go with a more expensive card that has cooling features.

Manufacturer Response:

This is not the behavior we expect from this card. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can further assist you.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: No fan. Good price for a basic card. EVGA.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Works great with Ubuntu 12.04. It does run a little warm but that doesn't seem to be a problem as it has never failed to work.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect card for a server

Pros: This card is PERFECT for a server. Low cost and MOST importantly NO MOVING PARTS! My last card failed (and didn't allow the server to boot) because the fan stopped due to dust. This one has no fan, just a REALLY good heat sink therefore nothing to fail.

Cons: None. Works as designed
