5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Bought for mild gaming. Does the job.

Cons: Not meant for high end gaming, but I knew that already. You get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsFollow-up Review

Pros: Great customer service related to the EVGA’s RMA process. (I deducted 1 egg in my new rating for the faulty product.) The new video card works fine.

Cons: As with almost all manufacturer warranties, I had to pay return shipping.

Other Thoughts: This is a follow-up to my April 6th review of this product. Later that day (a Saturday) I used EVGA’s website to initiate a RMA request. An hour or two later, my RMA was approved via email. I shipped the video card on April 8th and received the replacement card on April 22nd. I was impressed that EVGA sent several more emails about receiving the package, sending the replacement and notice about delivery the day before it arrived.

1 out of 5 eggsproblems

Pros: works well when it does most of the time. good general picture quality on my hd 1080p monitor.

Cons: the problems are that it will shut off. sort of like losing power or connections. I have 450 watt psu so that's now the problem and my connections are good. I will have to restart my comp so it can turn back on. usually this happens when Im trying to stream movies on amazn and it will turn off display and turn on again. quite annoying.

Other Thoughts: great item if it didn't do all those bad things.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsIt lasted 3 months

Pros: The card was purchased for my home PC. It arrived on January 26, 2013 and worked fine until today, April 6, 2013.

Cons: It failed while surfing the web. It now produces a mix of block character and hounds tooth patterns, sometimes with just a hint of what it should be displaying. (My power supply tester shows all voltages being within normal range.)

Other Thoughts: It was bought (mainly because of its fanless design) to replace another brand’s GeForce 8600 video card whose fan had seized up. I discovered that the fan seized because the card was hot enough to make the SATA card above quit working until it cooled. It amazes me that I can use that old GeForce card now to write this since it still works… now minus its plastic shroud, fan and a few dust bunnies.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

This is not the behavior we expect from this card. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can work on getting you a replacement.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Card

Pros: Quiet, small form factor. DVI and HDMI. Nvidia drivers. low power requirements.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my girlfriend's pc. We use her pc for netflix and movies. Basically htpc. I wanted something small without a fan and easy to configure. I got exaclty that. Nvidia drivers are simple and i always go to the website to get the newest drivers. If your looking for a gaming card, this isnt the card for you. However, if your looking for something small form factor and quiet for a htpc build, this card is great.

2 out of 5 eggsDied in less than a week

Pros: Fan-less, silent, cheapish.

Cons: Died after 5 days... Cost $11 dollars to RMA a label. Cost of this card is now 33% higher. If it dies again I'll have almost bought a second card in shipping cost alone. Not very fair to force customers to pay for the manufactures quality control testing! We test it, it breaks, we pay extra. What the heck.

Other Thoughts: This sucks

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsIncompatable

Pros: Bought 2 of these cards for 2 seperate systems to replace the geforce 8400gs cards currently in the units.

Cons: For some reason neither card was recognized by the motherboard. Had to put the old card back in the units. Old card works fine, just wanted to upgrade to a fanless card to eliminate noise.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We need more information for us to be able to support you on this matter. Please contact us at 888-881-3842.

4 out of 5 eggsHaven't pushed

Pros: 1 gig is nice, but it's a weak video card, but it does play games, at least that's what the games advertise, but i haven't played anything that would even use what i have, much less what is out there.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsgood upgrade from integrated

Pros: easy install except make sure you have a 300 watt psu. I bough a 450 watt to upgrade from my 250 watt. Other than that it is a great card very cheap I would say and graphics are good for a normal user and no lagg. so happy. best cheap upgrade ever.

Cons: need 300 watt psu.

Other Thoughts: good product, shipped quickly and easy to install if u dont need a new psu.
