2 out of 5 eggsGreat when it worked

Pros: When it was working and both GPU's were turned on (it defaults as one on and one on physics duty) it would blast through games.

Cons: After two years, I had a ton of BSOD and driver issues relating to this card. This card is basically incapable of using drivers past 314.22. Constant driver crashes after 314.22. I have a feeling that the card is burned out as rolling back drivers doesn't seem to make a difference now. When I disable the card and run off of the integrated intel graphics there are no crashes.

Manufacturer Response:

"Hello Robert,
The issue you are experiencing could be due to a software problem or incorrect setting that correlates to a specific driver revision. I would suggest contacting EVGA's 24/7 customer service at 1-888-881-3842 option 1, or by email at newegg@evga.com so that we may help you troubleshoot and resolve this issue, as well as possibly go over any warranty options as needed.
Sincerely,
EVGA Customer Support"

2 out of 5 eggsWas good

Pros: Handled most games like a pro for the first 10 months or so. Never needed to OC the card. High to ultra setting on most games.

Cons: Runs Extremely hot... for me in the mid 90's during game play and about 55-60 during Idle. Even when fans are on 100% it is still very hot. My case has good ventilation. About 2 months ago it started overheating and began causing black screens on my computer and crashed it. I think it is time for a new card.

Other Thoughts: 850W bronze PSU
AMD Phenom II x6 3.2 GHz
8 GB DDR3

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Those temperatures are within tolerances for that card. However, please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can try to find a solution for you on this matter.

Thank you,
Brandon B

4 out of 5 eggs460 2Win review

Pros: Blazing fast, Sleek Look, Well Ventilated, Complete Package, Cheap for its amazing performance

Cons: Driver Support, Need to use 3rd party software to get card to work as it was designed, Hardware compatibility issues

Other Thoughts: I read a lot of reviews for this product before buying it and anyone considering doing so should do their homework. This card is not for the faint of heart. It takes some tech savvy to get it to work as it should. Once it does, it runs perfectly. Its temperatures peak at 85-88 and go down as the fan speed increases. Future Soldier, a very demanding game, runs like butter at everything maxed out. Compare that to any other card in this price range (sub 200). Driver support is bad, however if you find the right one (for me it was 296.10) plus the HyperSLI hack for non-SLI mobos, the card is a beast. It does make noise, take a lot of power and spew a lot of heat. But it also performs on par with $300+ cards. For $170, it was well worth it and I am thoroughly impressed by EVGA's style on this one.

2 out of 5 eggs2 X 1GB

Pros: Good speeds for what works

Cons: This is not a 2GB card, it is 2 X 1GB. To me that is false advertisement. If the product description and the box it came in say 2GB then one would think it is 2GB but no. It has 2 independent 1GB for each GPU meaning games will still only see 1GB.
Also using the HDMI port does not always work, my machine boots completely but I will have to shut down(pretty much by watching the HDD lights until they stop and then pressing the power button to do a shutdown. Then rebooting to get anything on screen. Have tried all new cables and adapters, it is the card.

Other Thoughts: Completely done with EVGA. Not even going to bother RMA'ing this thing. I will take my loss and find something better.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry if you were unaware of the way dual GPU cards are listed. Each GPU has 1GB of memory, however when SLI'd they mirror each other and you will have 1GB available. If you are having trouble with the HDMI we can certainly setup a replacement for you. Please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842 or me directly Matth@evga.com

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good performing card and very quiet.

Cons: It is a big card having two gpu's in it and no extra bracing, in my tower the back end has no support so its droops quite badly. Also its a two cards in one so it is a little big, uses one pci but blocks the other one atleast on an asus maximus iv motherboard.

Other Thoughts: add some back bracing so the card doesn't sag in the back.

1 out of 5 eggsSo many issues

Pros: Love the idea of 2 460's in one card

Cons: Never works properly, fans turn on 100% at boot sometimes.

Very glitchy and will sometimes drop drasticly in frame rates

Benchmarks nowhere near a 580 like it says

Mine performs worse than a 570

Other Thoughts: I really wish EVGA would let me trade in for a 570 .. I have RMA's twice already and am still having issues. Heck, I would even pay to downgrade to a 570. Even though it would be an upgrade for this card.

Still like EVGA and customer service has been wonderful. I really want to stick with EVGA but after this card it makes me question. My 3 other gaming computers are running fine on their products

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize you are having trouble with your card. From your description it sounds like you maybe running out of Vram. Please use a program such as precision to monitor the Vram usage. If the drops in FPS coincide with maxing out the video memory I would recommend you turn down the game settings, specifically AA. If you would like to email me your serial number I can tell you the testing record for your previous cards, Matth@evga.com

1 out of 5 eggsOnly had issues

Pros: Only uses one PCIE slot .. runs some games fantastically
Was super excited to get this card

Cons: I have had so many issues with this card .. first two gave me BSODs and each failed the tests from EVGA .. on my third card now and another BSOD!!!

SLI is very finicky when it wants to work and sometimes the fans turn on 100% at boot .. wish I went with the 570

Other Thoughts: Wish I could trade this in for a 570 and avoid the two bad cards and looks like my 3rd one right now is bad too .. and yes, EVGA tested them and they failed their tests.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize if you are having difficulty getting the card working properly. Please email me your serial number so I can work with you directly on this, Matth@evga.com

1 out of 5 eggsI don't recommend

Pros: The idea gets an egg. Two Gtx 460 1GB Gpus on the same card.

Cons: -1 egg EVGA product Marketing. They don't tell the customers that this card does not work with amd chip set motherboards.
-1 egg EVGA customer support. One person hang up on me. It took me more than 15 min to talk to someone. They told me to do various steps to get this card working. such as delete all the amd drivers and previous nvidia drivers in safe mode. use driver sweeper to get rid of traces ect. still didn't work. It does not show in Nvidia control panel the SLI option. After that they told me it has problems with amd motherboards.
-1 egg for This product is not officially supported by nvidia. There are no official drivers for GTX 460 2win in nvidias webpage. (there are for gtx 590, why not for this one?)
-1 egg for all the trouble it caused time, money, no gaming during this RMA process

Other Thoughts: For this price I would recommend something else. now the gtx 580s sell under 400$ with rebate. I will go with one of them or a GTX 480 for 260$.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize if you were disconnected during a tech support call. This card does work on AMD and Intel platforms however it does not always work on non-SLI board. The 460 2win is an EVGA design, however Nvidia uses a unified driver architecture which means the same driver works for all current cards. This card will run all the same drivers as a 580 or 480. I would be happy to assist you with a hand tested replacement, however from your description it sounds like it maybe incompatible with your motherboard. If you would like to get a replacement to rule out the card as the root cause please contact me directly, Matth@evga.com

5 out of 5 eggsEnded up an excellent buy

Pros: Runs stable and fast. As long as you understand the issue of SLI and how different games handle it, it really performs excellent. Using it with a normal GTX460 (to run two other monitors) and the three monitor setup works fine with my main monitor providing SLI performance. Overclockings nice and with the right case, power supply, etc. the temps are fine. using a 750W P/S to run the 2WIN and a second GTX460 with no issues.

Cons: Requires a bit of technical knowledge to get the best out of it. The fan blades are fragile but cheap to replace. It is a big card, so do you research first.

Other Thoughts: At first I was frustrated with the 2WIN, but after playing with it I am very pleased with the stability, tempertures, performance and noise levels. At the right price I would buy it again.

1 out of 5 eggsHibernate

Pros: Good card, plays all my games great, but I am a few year behind. I only played fallout 3 and civ 5. Skyrim played great without anti aliasing

Cons: Won't hibernate. When you try and boot up it won't hibernate

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Glad to hear the card is performing well in games. In terms of hibernation you may want to update your BIOS then go into the BIOS and test the various sleep modes (S1, S3, or S1&S3) to see if you yield different results.
