2 out of 5 eggsoverclock to crash

1 out of 5 eggsDied in less than a week.

Pros: Beautiful when it worked. Great value for price (until it died).

Cons: Died after a few days. Before it died, it displayed my second monitor severely yellow hued. I didn't have a chance to update the drivers before it died completely, though, so I'm not sure if it was a driver issue.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I apologize for the problems you have been having with this card. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can work with you on this matter.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Graphics Card!

Pros: Its just a beast. Runs Kerbal Space Program on the highest settings at 60+ FPS no problem, and runs GW2 nicely as well.
This monster will eat anything you throw at it and spit it into tiny bite-sized pieces.

Cons: It runs at a sort of high temp (AVG: 38 Degrees Celsius)
It is huge, i needed to move my TV tuner out of my PC just to fit it. Was totally worth it. Also it is not formatted to VGA, which I sadly did not know until I got it so I had to go out and get a VGA adapter.

Other Thoughts: Its worth any amount of money. I have a all-round bad PC, and this video card fixed any issues I had with it being slow.

Also, shipping was fast! (one day early, thanks Newegg!)

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good!

Pros: Works great
Low cost
Able to SLI with my existing EVGA 465 SC

Cons: Kinda big, fans can be a bit loud going over 50-55%

Other Thoughts: Great card, I've bought a couple refurb/recertified items from Newegg before and haven't had any problems. Paired this card with my existing 465 in SLI and they pretty much chew through anything I throw at them. Stay relatively cool, I use the EVGA Precision tool for OC and fan settings, usually have the default @ 40% and crank up to 55-60% for gaming use. Both cards idle betweetn 35-40ºC, load temps almost never reach 70ºC unless I'm really stressing them. Replaced the existing stock thermal compound with better stuff, once it burns in it'll probably drop idle/load temps a little more.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: it was only 109 bucks 4 days ago. installed it right away, it runs great. temps are around 65-70 while playing aces high 2 with all eye candy on and shadows at 4096. actually one of them can run that setting :). it oc like crazy too. it's a good buy better than the 300 bucks I paid for my first one, lol. i saved a lot of money by buying this one and not spending the 500 bucks for 2 new ones, yay.

Cons: it doesnt come with any adapters, cds, nothing. just the card. you dont even get the sticker to put on your puter not that it's a big deal. since it's a refurbished one, warranty is only 90 days as opposite to my first one that has lifetime. this is not really a con but fans are loud at about 60% and above.

Other Thoughts: this is my second one. I was about to sell my first one since this model was discontinued and I wanted to have a second for sli and later to get a 3rd monitor. I dont think they're gonna sell it again. some people make a comment that it runs hot. this card can run as hot as 100 without damage. so anything below 80 is great. but of course the lower the better. at idle it runs in the low 40's with fan at 50%.

4 out of 5 eggsHot"N"fast

Pros: Card works great in my fresh lcs with a Gigabyte z68 board and i72600k cup. drivers were easy to install, but most are. Price was good.

Cons: everyting seems to be ok sofar.....seems to run hot but i havent looking into that yet

Other Thoughts: been playing battlefield badcompany2 running sli and been getting an avg. of about a 120 fps. witch is a huge step up from my old gts 250 cards in an older system that only got 20fps lol.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Good

Pros: It is a video card.

Cons: At first it ran way to hot. Used EVGA Precision to under clock the processor as slow as the program wold go. Got it cooled down. Cut a hole in the case and mounted a cooling fan directly to the video card, that helped.
The video kept locking up and going blank every 5 or 6 minutes then would come back. Even with the computer setting idle.

Other Thoughts: Updated the OS, driver for video and motherboard. No help. My power supply is a Cyberpower 680W with very little in the machine.
Just a bad card.
RMA back to Newegg, good company.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsHot Card

Pros: I bought it for the 352 cuda processors to do distributive computing. It does the cuda processing ok.

Cons: It runs HOT. It's summer here and even taking the side off the computer and setting a fan there doesn't keep it below max temps. I ended up under clocking the device to keep it under 90c.

Other Thoughts: I'm using EVGA Precision to control the clocks. Thats works. Nvidia software didn't really seems to do the job.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

You should not have to down clock the card to get it to function properly. If this is the case please contact our 24/7 technical support, or if you prefer you can contact me directly matth@evga.com so I can assist you.

4 out of 5 eggsgood card wrong board

Pros: While it and my motherboard were cooperating I thought it was great.

Cons: My motherboard (MSI 880G-E45. MS7576 ver:1.2 ) Did not like it.

Other Thoughts: When it caused frequent crashes and prevented a successful boot process, it became annoying.
