5 out of 5 eggsThe best card 90 bucks can buy

Pros: wow where to start , double the buswidth of a 650ti (1st versions) and has the gpu 3d mark of almost 3K for under 90 dollars wow its a steal 256bit buswidth 1GB GDDR5 can't touch anything now this good at this price point

Cons: its big but of course a 460 was a good uppermidrange graphics card of its day so it does require some power

Other Thoughts: anyone who would spend 400 dollars or more for 1 graphics card is crazy lol , why not buy 3 of these and run triple sli for 280 dollars lol i'm sure it would be amazing i'm happy with the performance 1 does its a steal for what i paid

5 out of 5 eggsGood to go

Pros: I bought another GTX460 256 bit to go into SLI with my original plan to do so eventually, I upgraded to an I-5 3350P non K and a great Rock type MB that works great in SLI.

Couldn't believe how simple and fast it was to SLI, took like ten minutes after install which was 15 minutes. Everything is done automatically, big improvement over the ole original SLI with 2 VooDoo2 cards, and as I recall I needed a regular 2D card as well to run regular stuff, that was some fun, but sure made those first good 3d games look amazing at the time.

Haven't had any issues to report.

Cons: Slight deal with the original card being about 120mhz faster than the new refurb I got. So I lost some potential power, but wouldn't give up the SLI now after seeing Far Cry 3 in its glory.

Other Thoughts: These older 400 GTX series cards run the same drivers that the new GTX 700 series run, DirectX 11 or what ever, so as long as you gots the memory and the core running with enough speed and volume, you get the same picture experience as the newer more pricier ones.

Just saying that for the price, you can get 230MB/s Memory Bandwidth just like a more expensive 600 or 700 series for a lot less if you take a chance on refurb in SLI or even go with a 475 or 570 or 560 refurb..

Don't forget to check out the Precision program if you are running single card to over or under clock for best performance and coolness.
There are not a whole lot of improvements in the last few years, check out Wikipedia's Graphic Card charts, they have the latest stuff there, the Titan was there before it was in Tom's.

5 out of 5 eggsMy 2nd 460

Pros: Worked right away, windows recognized it and Nvidia drivers too.

Cons: It's refurbished

Other Thoughts: When I first built my PC in 2010 I had always planned to go Sli at some point. My first gtx 460 was the superclocked EE and it always seemed to do the job on it's own. I began to notice that these were getting harder to find new and had still held it's price somewhat. I went the refurbished route because for only a hundred bucks, it was worth putting off getting something new and spendy for a little longer.

Wish I could have found an exact one of my other 460, this ones plastic feels cheaper and so does the fan. It also runs on a higher voltage but good for what it is.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: WELL IT LOOKED NEW AND CLEAN

Cons: THEY MUST HAVE NO QC ON THIS . THE GPU PASTE WAS COMING OUT AND I SAW THAT THE HEAT SINK WAS HALF WAY ON I TIGHTEN IT AND PUT IT IN. WELL IT WORKED IF I DOWN CLOCKED THE CARD 200MHZ IT STAYED COOL ENOUGH TO PLAY GAMES.

Other Thoughts: I RMA IT TOOK A WEEK . NEWEGG ROCKS THEY TOOK CARE OF ME ON THIS ONE. FOR 7 YEARS I SPENT OVER 10K HERE ON NEW EGG AND I WILL NEVER GO ANY WERE ELSE FOR PC PARTS THERE REALLY THAT GOOD.

5 out of 5 eggsIts here and Its Awesome.

Pros: Runs anything on high or above at 1920 x 1080-on my system. Results will very somewhat depending on your setup but if you have the money for this card get it before they stop making them.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: According to the Nvidia site this card is only meeting the minimum reqs for some games. I say they need to pull theirs back from storage and actually try to run the games on it.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding card for the price

Pros: Speed for the dollar
Ease of use (SLI setup was a breeze)
Runs cooler than my other GTX 460

Cons: Not stable on a couple of my games
Fan noise (minor)

Other Thoughts: When I built my rig a couple of years ago, I did so with anticipation of running SLI "at some point" (motherboard and power supply). I bought this card to do just that, and it runs like a champ. It’s a slightly different build version than my other EVGA 460, and has a different fan setup, but otherwise is the same. (RAM, clock speed, and bit interface). Installation was a breeze and was automatically detected by both Windows 7 64bit and the nVidia driver.

My 3DMark "graphics" score increased by 92%, and every game that I own with a benchmark feature is completely pegged at max. Truth told, two GTX 460's is probably more than I even need, but they look and run fantastically.

I run EVGA Precision just to watch how the cards perform and this one runs about 8°C cooler than my older one. Not sure why.

My only negative comments are that a couple of my games aren’t stable with the 460’s. Half-life 2: Episode 2 will crash, and Batman: Arkham Asylum will freeze but release. FarCry 3 and Mass Effect 3 run well and look great. I’ve also noticed more heat coming from my exhaust fans… not really a negative, just something that needs to be addressed. A final thing is that I’ve noticed additional fan noise. Some people get all up in arms about fan noise, but I’m not one of them. It is noticeable, though.

In conclusion, I think that the GTX 460 is still one of the best values on the market right now, and when run in SLI will handle just about anything you can throw at it.

5 out of 5 eggsNot here yet :(

Pros: After plenty of research i am replacing my dead 9600 gt ssc with this instead of a GTX 560 based solely on specs. after having ran this card in a friends PC i can say i m very excited. This card became the new 8800 GT and that's saying enough.

Cons: Its not going to be here until late Tuesday which BLOWS.

Other Thoughts: I hope i don't have to rma it once it gets here. i can only hope its not DOA and if it is well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Giving five eggs until it gets here then ill write a new review. Till then.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Excellent Card! EVGA hit a homerun with this one. Owned for going on 2 years and it still performs above par for the newer games. Fast memory and reliable.

Cons: Memory size. If this card was offered in a 2 or 3gig version I wouldn't even consider upgrading this card.

4 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

Pros: Card looked brand new upon arrival, and was clean as a whistle. Performs very well.

Cons: 2 6 pin power plugs, and they both have to be plugged in for the card to function.
