4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Still very fast for my gaming needs
DirectX 11 specifications
1GB of Video RAM
Over a year of use, and going strong

Cons: Starting to show its age
Latest games cannot run at 1080p, I have to lower it down to 720p or lower.
Antialiasing higher than 4x on the latest games shows massive FPS drop.

Other Thoughts: Card does what I expect, and sometimes more. Despite being over a year old from purchase, it still surprises me with its performance.

5 out of 5 eggsgtx 560 Still holds its ground

Pros: You have to love this little beast. i have owned this for almost two years now still pulling its weight. i have moved this to my wifes computer now. she games on a lower resolution about 1600x900 and it carries almost every game on ultra/very hight on that. if you don't plan on stepping up to a 1980x1080 ++ res then this little beast will carry you.

Cons: none that i can think of.

Other Thoughts: didn't buy two :(

5 out of 5 eggsif you find it used GET IT

Pros: runs all games on high if your at 1600x900.....1080p runs great but some games need to be backed off a little from the highest settings....plays BIOSHOCK(2013) and TOMBRAIDER(2013) on max setting in 1080p at plus 40fps.....at 1600x900 over 60fps.....I have seen them for 50 bucks used on some ones list(hint) I had a 9600 gso at first, then a gtx 260 216core to this.......gso lowest setting, 260 all high setting but none of them were direct x 11 options......this EVERY THING TO MAX right out of the gate!!!......if you have a card under it, it will run better......beats a 295 and is on par with a 480 on most games but uses half the power in a smaller case......if you find it for 50 and can get 30 for your old card its gold!!! GREAT FOR MINI CASES

Cons: fan ONLY works right AFTER you use "MSI after burner" to set up a fan profile(you set the temps to change the RPM on the fan keeping it at temps you want) free software.....card will overclock but not much past 900 core and 1100 memory.......

Other Thoughts: you must be running a quad core with this to game.....
my system
AMD 555 unlock all 4 cores clocked at 3.7ghz from 3.2
coolermaster 212 CPU cooler never gets over 140f full load
ASUS M5A97 mombo
8gb of 1600mhz tracer LED memory
2 250gb WD harddrive in raid
600watt x4 ultra PSU
this video card
coolermaster 922 case
22inch 1080p monitor
Microsoft sidewinder mouse
Logitech keyboard

whole system cost me 175 bucks off of some ones list used

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: It plays all of my games on Ultra! World of Warcraft, Skyrim, and Runescape.

Cons: Only issue for awhile was if it started to get hot the fan took a little long to kick into a higher speed, but it was easily solved with a dowload to control the speed.

4 out of 5 eggsworks well for the price

Pros: Plays most games at highest settings fine, stays pretty cool and is easy to overclock

Cons: makes alot of noise in sli setup cause the two cards are close it cause the fan on the top card to be less efficient.

Other Thoughts: i added all in in one water cooling systems on these cards via, "AKA the mod" and now notice max temps only reading up to 49c. im able to over clocked the core to 950mhz

3 out of 5 eggsDead after six months

Pros: Runs quiet, cool, and pretty reliable until today.

Cons: Woke up this morning, booted up my system and it was dead. Thankfully, my mobo has onboard, so I am still able to use the computer, however, I don't think I can safely purchase or refer a friend to EVGA. I bought this GFX unit to replace another EVGA that had died in September of 2012. If all I am able to get is six months out of an EVGA product, I won't EVER purchase one again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

This is not the behavior we expect from our products. If you have only had this card for 6 months then it should still be covered by warranty. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can work on getting you a replacement for this card.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsGood choice

Pros: Quiet. My cpu fan drowns this out, so I never hear it. But my GPU monitor also shows the fan never rising above half fan speed (~1500 rpms), so that makes sense. Temps can get up to low 60s but never above for me. Nice large fan size to help keep rpms low.

Handles FS9 with aftermarket clouds in aftermarket virtual cockpit and heavy scenery, all with absolute max settings in FS and Nvidia config quite well. Dont do a lot of gaming beside, but the newer ARMA titles or STALKER, for instance, run smooth with max settings as well.

Booted up fine, installed newest drivers (no need for the driver cd) from the website. Physical product seems sturdy.

Cons: None yet. I suppose absent a rebate the price seems a touch high, but what isn't expensive nowadays?

Other Thoughts: American-based company for what it's worth (hq, not mfg of course)!

I did a ton of reading on GPUs before I bought this. I had wanted to go with Asus due to reading that they were very quiet (with the DirectCUII tech) and powerful to boot. But, I dont need a top of the line card, and this guy was discounted a bit, so for $140, it was definitely the right call. If I was getting, say, a 660ti, I might consider Asus still, but I'm not going to ignore EVGA as an option in the future. Card is plenty quiet and plenty powerful for everything I need. Rebate was processed quickly, and I can get a check instead of a silly prepaid card.
