5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's amazing that it comes overclocked from the factory, but what's even MORE awesome is it can go even further. Rock solid overclocking at 847MHz GPU / 2049MHz Memory, 31C. I've got two of these running the same OC in SLI, they put out around 110FPS with every setting maxed out, including supersampling. Setting that to native bumps it to around 140FPS. I ran the 15min Furmark 1080p 8xAA burn in test and my temps never got above 44C. This block is AMAZING, keeps it cool no matter what. After furmark completed, my temps dropped right back down to the low 30s.
This card is that it has held its value fairly well so far, which is good for me but bad for me because it means getting a third is unlikely.

Cons: Cost. And I bought in September of 2011, because I didn't realize the 600 series was LITERALLY right around the corner. Anyway, it's now a full year of having these cards and I'm just as happy as the day I bought them. The 600 series isn't so much a step forward in gaming performance, as it is a step forward in lower energy usage and 28nm vs. 40nm. I will just keep my 2-card SLI setup for another year or two, wait for the 700 series to come out and decide then if I just want to build a new computer.

Other Thoughts: My water cooling setup is quite large, featuring both an internal radiator fans and pump + external radiator/fans and pump. I do this so it's easier for me to bleed the system without my computer being on and having air bubbles stuck in a block and potentially burning something up. Anyway, my point is my temps are low because of my setup.

3 out of 5 eggsFast but overpriced

Pros: Fastest single graphics card out there (besides the 690's). One of the very few (only?) 680's that come with a waterblock pre-installed.

Cons: Evga is essentially charging you $170 the waterblock. You can get a much better one for about $60 less if you buy the two separately.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing works like a charm!

Pros: This graphics card is BEAST especially in SLI :D

Cons: I had to RMA one of my cards and it took a while but now that the other is fixed and returned they work great!

5 out of 5 eggsThe last of a great generation

Pros: Fast
One of the highest stock clocked 580's
Cool, quiet, room for OC

Cons: $$$ as of now!

Other Thoughts: Lower $ would suit this well, not justifiable with the 600 series available.

5 out of 5 eggsCool n' Fast

Pros: Water cooled, Fast, quiet, and No problems. I ordered 2 of these cards and both work great in SLI configuration. Both cards sit at 27c idle and under load 33c playing Skyrim at all settings set to max for 6 hours. Worth every penny!

Cons: Have not encountered any yet.

Other Thoughts: I enjoyed and learned a lot designing my own custom water cooling system. I would recommend doing research on designing a cooling system that fits your machine, others wise you may end up with external cooling.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid EVGA. Buy MSI instead.

Pros: High performance while working.

Cons: EVGA's abysmal customer service and misleading claims.

Other Thoughts: I've been building computers for a long time. I buy high end discrete graphics cards on a regular basis. I've personally purchased 4 of these cards just for myself. Defective components are just a fact of life. It happens with the best of companies. How the company handles the situation makes all the difference in the world. Two of the four said cards died after a few months of use within a month or so of each other. When I contacted EVGA to stand behind their "lifetime warranty" I was asked to provide a receipt. I explained that I no longer had the receipt as it had been nearly 6 months. They denied my claim and left me with over $1000 in defective products. That is simply unacceptable. I had to go to the head of the department as the customer service agents did not even return my e-mails despite being polite. I will never again by from EVGA. For the record. A year ago I did an RMA for an MSI GTX 580 and they sent me a brand new replacement. Please consider alternative manufacturers.

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize if you are having difficulty with the card. To qualify for the limited lifetime warranty we do require proof of purchase. If you bought this from newegg you can get it under your member account, print it to a PDF or XPS and email it to me directly, and I would be happy to work with you on this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Overall, this is a great card. It's a solid build and is very sleak looking. It can pretty much handle just about everything you can throw at it. It runs Crysis 2 everything on Ultra DX 11, Serious Sam 3 maxed out, Witcher 2 maxed, Metro 2033 ( performance is ok ), and BF3 maxed, ( just to name same of the heavy hitters). The current drivers are pretty solid since I haven't found any issues yet. The card stays nice and cool. Major props to EVGA on the cooling block. It covers the entire card and is like a solid block. Just and example, the card will hit only 44 celsius under full load ( 2-1/2 hours of Seriosu Sam 3 maxed ). Overall, this is a great buy and in SLI... Lookout... Yes I'm running that.

Cons: Price. ( hey. Ya get what ya pay for ) and Weight. This is a very heavy card so make sure you install it with a screw on your case to help support it unless your case has a screwless install and somehow snaps on the card to add support. (Coolermaster HAF 932 Advanced )

My specs:
CPU = I7 950 Bloomfield quad 3.06 OC'd to 4.0
RAM = 8GB G skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600 MHZ
GPU = GTX 580 Hydrocopper in SLI
MB = Asus Rampage II Extreme
PSU = Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W
Case = Coolermaster HAF 932 advanced
OS = Win 7 pro 64 bit
Sound Card = Creative XFI Titanium

Yes, it was expensive but worth it

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Solid as a rock, heavy, doesn't seem to impede coolant flow any, cools correctly (no discovered hot spots), high frame rate, gorgeous video fidelity.

Cons: Only possible nit is that it's very heavy and you must install it traditionally (with a screw) and cannot depend on clip in expansion slot fittings to hold it up. If this is your worst problem, who could complain??

Other Thoughts: Installed this in a new test build. Fantastic results.
