5 out of 5 eggsCheap and powerful (For the price)

Pros: -For the price this card is fantastic.
-The 460 series would handle 90% of games on at least high, if not highest settings

Cons: -192 bit

Other Thoughts: While this card was in use, it handled almost everything brilliantly. However since its been discontinued, I wish you luck if you'd like one.

1 out of 5 eggsUh Oh

Pros: Originally seemed to hum along pretty well.

Cons: After putting a brand new machine together, I was in the hospital for 3 months and in China for another 2 months. So, 5 months later, I got to use my machine. I am a World of Warcraft player, so I opted for SLI and bought two of these guys. Until the past two months, I haven't had a lot of time to play... and now they are nothing but trouble. They run hot, they cause seem to cause stability issues (or), the driver is bad (driver fails at least twice per day). Updates do not help, rebuilds do not help - I even switched boards, same result. I went with them because I've always trusted EVGA... but I suppose it is time to eat the cost and move to another brand.

Other Thoughts: They look great, run quiet, and install easily.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I would recommend you test the cards individually in the primary slot. If one works and the other does not then we would need to replace the non-functioning card. If they both work test the secondary slot. If you are still having issues please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for all my gaming needs.

Pros: Runs all my games flawlessly at ultra graphics settings, stays cool without any extra hardware in my pc, runs very quietly, and comes with really good software to monitor it and tweak settings.

Cons: Not a one.

Other Thoughts: I watch a ton of media on my PC at 1080 resolution, I run dual-monitors at all times, and I play tons of popular games including:
Minecraft
World of Warcraft
Skyrim
BioShock
Portal 2
StarCraft 2
Diablo 3

I run every one of these games at ultra graphics settings, and it never skips a beat.

My computer has no extra cooling equipment, just an Antec 300 case with 2 fans, and an i5 processor with the stock heat sync. I let the video card manage it's own fan speed, and it never gets anywhere near dangerous heat levels.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA Does right by customers

Pros: Two of these in SLI can handle just about everything I throw at it, typically with mild to no tweaking. EVGA's customer is ABOVE and BEYOND what I expected. My experience with them will lure me toward their products, knowing that they will stand behind what they sell, and will make right any wrongs.

Cons: This is not a GTX 460, but rather it is a GTX 460 v2-- this is only a con if you plan on SLI'ing with an existing GTX 460. Still getting some occasional artifacts/crashes in SLI, but this is due to an overly optimistic overclock during a heat wave, and not the product itself.

Other Thoughts: I wish NewEgg allowed you to edit reviews, but instead I'll have to write another one. I originally reviewed this poorly because it is listed as a GTX 460, but it is instead a GTX 460 v2 and is incompatible with the original for SLI. EVGA responded to the original review, recognizing that the product listing was misleading to those expecting to get this product for an SLI configuration. To make things better, EVGA let me send back the original, one year in use, GTX 460 card (which were no longer manufactured), so they could send me a replacement. To make things better, they were out of this exact GPU, so they sent the slightly faster 01G-P3-1363-KR. If I could have edited my original review, I'd give this product a 4-star, simply because of the hassle to get things straightened out, and it is still misleading to sell one product under the same name as a previous one. However, I'll give it 5 stars so that it will balance out with my original 2 star review. Thanks EVGA!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Graphics Card

Pros: This is a great graphics card. When paired with a good CPU, you will get excellent framerates in modern games at highest settings

Cons: You might be able to find better price/performance ratio from AMD

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a replacement to my ATI Radeon HD 4670, and I was very impressed with the performance boost. This product is somewhat mislabled as it is in fact a GTX 460v2 according to DirectX diagnostics. Normally the v2 performs worse than the original, because of the 192-bit memory. EVGA has factory overclocked this card to compensate, so at the end of the day, they are the same.

2 out of 5 eggsSLI Warning: This is the GTX 460 v2, not the original!

Pros: Probably an all right card by itself, but see below.

Cons: This is the GTX 460 v2, not the original GTX 460. If you're buying a stand alone card, this is probably not an issue. However, THIS WILL NOT SLI WITH THE ORIGINAL GTX 460. This is not just due to the memory bandwidth (192-bit vs. 256-bit), but rather this card has an entirely different chipset. Learned this the hard way. A quick Google: "SLI GTX 460 and GTX 460 v2" will show you what I mean. RMA, away!

Other Thoughts: EVGA should make this incompatibility clear when writing the specs. This might be the last EVGA and NVIDIA product I get, which is a shame, since my original EVGA GTX 460 treated me so well.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize if you were not aware of the 2 different version of the 460. Please contact me directly so I can work with you on this, Matth@evga.com

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card with minor hickup

Pros: - Great card that runs cool

- Will run anything on the market (at max settings with sli)

- Can easily achieve a 50%+ overclock with out having to adjust voltages
- Sip power
- Even with SLI they run cool

Cons: - Need 2 6 pin connectors to run SLI

- REGISTER RIGHT WHEN YOU GET THEM (see details below)

- I did have one card die within a few months of owning it while i have another one that is coming up on a year old with no issues

- These cards DO NOT support tri-sli (yes this was a problem point for me)

Other Thoughts: -- I waited to register my second card until it was to late. Of course it died and i called for a replacement. I might as well have gotten the Ban hammer as EVGA told me that there is nothing that they can do and were unable to work with me. Overall it is my fault but it was enough for me to consider working with another company in the future. Until then the card is already trashed :(

-- These cards were able to push battlefield bad company 2 at maxed settings at 70+ frames per second on a 21 inch screen. They did struggle pushing battlefield 3 on the same screen maxed out. i averaged 60+ but would have problems when things got busy (sometimes dipping into the 40s)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price

Pros: Quick, quiet card. Runs nice and cool. Vast improvement for me!

Cons: None, so far.

Other Thoughts: Only complaint is the amount of extra power connections needed (4 molex), but shame on me for having such a budget PSU.
