4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Still works, Runs most games medium to high settings. BF3 max settings and still runs smooth enough to play it.

Cons: It's very long, Not a personal problem.

2 out of 5 eggsOne good one bad.

Pros: One of the fastest cards with an s-video port. Able to run modern titles well.

Cons: Unreasonably fast failure rate. I've purchased two of these over the last year. The more recent acquisition died in less than 3 months of use, soon after upgrading to a newer NVIDIA driver. I never overclocked or tweaked voltages. Only ran the cards at stock speeds for BOINC and occasional gaming. Very dissapointed with EVGA selling a refurbished product that clearly wasn't fixed / properly refurbished.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I am sorry to hear about this issue you have been having. Please contact me at bbrunson@evga.com so we can look for a solution for you.

Thank you,
Brandon B

4 out of 5 eggsGood Deal for a Great Card

Pros: -My non-SC version has lasted for 3 years now.
-Great deal for an upgrade to SLI
-Card is super powerful

Cons: -Should've been cheaper, but rebate linked disappeared before I received my order.
-Runs very hot under heavy load, especially in SLI

Other Thoughts: Bought this card to SLI with my original (non-SC) gtx 280, and after running MSI Afterburner to sync the clock speeds on the two cards, it worked very well! Aside from that, my setup gets rather hot, since my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard requires the cards to be directly adjacent (thereby eliminating the fan on the bottom of the top card) but I suppose that can't be blamed on the card itself.

5 out of 5 eggsOld heavyweight still punching

Pros: Very great card, maxes out Bioshock Infinite. Replaced 260 core 216.

Cons: Runs hot, need EVGA Precision. DX9.

Other Thoughts: DirectX is the biggest scam ever intended to make people upgrade to newer cards. If Nvidia allowed DX11 to run on older cards it would amazing, but they would lose money so they lock it. Remember, this was a $450+ card when it came out, like the GTX 680 today. This card is definitely still a monster, and only newbies will easily overlook this card.

1 out of 5 eggshot

Pros: cheap

Cons: gets HOT!
Replaced my old card with this one. I ran 85c on my old card. Ran this one and I started smelling something hot. I looked at my temp and it was over 102c. same setup gust a different card.

3 out of 5 eggsPowerful,Inexpensive card.

Pros: Pretty Powerful card,Run's most newer games on high settings with decent framerates at lower resolutions,Decent temperatures under load/idle.

Cons: No Direct X 11 support,So if you are running windows 7/8 you won't get to use DX11.Not as powerful as i anticipated.
I have owned the card around 40 days and i am having Artifacting issues. Waiting on EVGA RMA,I am hoping they will take care of me.

You get what you pay for,Make sure if you buy this card that you register it's serial number immediately on evga's website. If you have any issues at all with the card RMA it as quick as you can.You might get lucky and won't have issues,I did unfortunately.

Other Thoughts: This is a great deal otherwise,But if your doing a budget build/Or just want to get this card because of the price purchase at your own risk. Save extra money and go with a dx11 card.

3 out of 5 eggsDead Weight

Pros: Plays the games i aimed it to play. Did a great job at it as well. Beast card.

Cons: Bad part about this card, it's MASSIVE. Lets include it eats ALOT of power. I have noticed that this card has serious, and i mean serious overheating issues.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Does almost anything

Cons: Unless you want to play games, that it won't do.

Other Thoughts: I picked this card up to replace one I had just like it had that finally burned out. I was wary of it since it was refurbished but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Turns out it can't play any sort of video game for some reason or enough, making it a nice warm brick. Too bad I can't return it since it only has a one month return policy.

Figures.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget card

Pros: - Blower style fan
- SLI compatable
- Still one of my favorite looking card
- Plays games at 1080p
- Likes to be overclocked

Cons: - 235w tdp
- Massive heavy card
- Comes in a white box, no manuals/molex cables

Other Thoughts: Really good card for $70 after rebate. Great for a budget build, I bought this card way back in 2008 and decided to buy it again just to collect it.

I decided to throw it in my my sisters pc i5-2310 and fired up bf3. Left the setting at auto/medium at it ran multiplayer at 40-60 fps with vsync on at 1080p.
