5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Works great, barely fit in my tower, but it doesn't overheat, and I haven't had any problems out of it at all.
Runs quiet even when I'm running graphic heavy programs.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood card. Hot and loud though.

Pros: Great card. Runs like a champ, and runs alot better than i expected it to. i was quite happy.

Cons: The card gets really hot usually 75-90 under load and 60 idle which is too hot for my liking. The fan is also loud which is annoying.

Other Thoughts: Great card but is hot and loud =\

4 out of 5 eggsHot Darnn

Pros: Looks evil. PLAYS evil, too. Great for my single-monitor setup. OCed 200MHz with stock cooling with EVGA Precision X (700-900) and still within bounds (might scrape 80C in games, but safe up to 105C). Expect GTX670 performance with that good an OC and better than GTX570/660 without.

Cons: 105C is hot, and that heat has to go somewhere. Stock fan is very loud and sounds like a wheezing, dying thing at full speed to boot. If it is cold in the morning, I launch FurMark and literally use the exhaust to warm my hands and arms. I exclusively use headphones and have a fan on my desk, so none of this matters to me.

That heat comes from the godly amounts of power this thing sucks up. Calculate 300W or more when deciding on a PSU. That will also make a noticeable mark on your power bill.

Other Thoughts: If you're worried about the heat and power use, and resulting noise, try two GTX660/660Ti/570 in SLI or comparable AMD + Xfire. I'm keeping this, not to mention adding another for SLI, because in college, you don't have to pay the power bill.

Also, don't lick the heatpipes. Don't ask.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Wide bandwidth, overclocks, runs quiet after install of 1 x ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme+ II. This is just a great card.

Cons: Runs hot and loud but that goes away with the add-on ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme+ II cooler.

Other Thoughts: I love this card and would like another one but to run them together but it's old know. Bought one just before newegg stopped carrying them. Paid $219.00 for it. Could not go wrong at that price.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build

Pros: -Incredible Price : Value Ratio
-Handles any game I throw at it and then some
-Battlefield 3 - 60 fps
-Metro 2033 - ~40 fps
-League of Legends - 250+ fps
-Many more
-No problems installing

Cons: -None for me

Other Thoughts: Everyone says it is loud and hot. On burn in tests with 99% load it hit 75 degrees Celcius, which is within a good range. The fan is loud if you don't own speakers, a headset, or playing on mute.

Rest of build:
Rosewill CHALLENGER case
Intel Core i5 3470
2 x 4 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X
2 x 4 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws
MSI Z77A-G41 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 480
1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It runs a 40" Samsung HDTV.

Cons: Way too loud. Takes the joy out of gaming. Sounds like a hand-held vacuum cleaner as soon as the Skyrim action starts.

Other Thoughts: It's long and runs super hot.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We would like a bit more detail regarding these issues. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can help assist you.
