Go to the next level with the EVGA GeForce GTX 680. This card delivers truly game-changing performance that taps into the powerful new GeForce architecture to redefine smooth, seamless, lifelike gaming. It offers brand new, never before seen features that will redefine the way you think about performance graphics cards. Expect more from your graphics card than just state-of-the-art features and technology; get a faster, smoother and richer gaming experience with the EVGA GeForce GTX 680.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to earlier review on 11/24/2012

Pros: Takes whatever I throw at it and keeps coming. Plays SCII maxed out and doesn't even break a sweat.

Cons: First unit died after 1.5 years. After about 8 months I started getting BSODs while playing SCII. At first it seemed to be sporadic and driver related as updating seemed to fix it for a while. Unfortunately the issues did return and eventually my computer went down hard and the GPU never came back.

The RMA process was easy and the replacement was sent out very quickly. Have had the new unit for 3 months now and so far no issues.

Other Thoughts: It is quite large, make sure your case and motherboard have room for it. Was planning on picking up one of these at some point to do dual-SLI but now I see it is out of stock everywhere I've looked.

Docking one egg for the first device failing.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked Great from Nov 2012 to May 2014

Pros: Ran 3 monitors with ease, I was primarily using it for that purpose plus gaming every now and then which was also a great experience. The main context of my usage was software development however.

Cons: It worked from Nov 2012 to May 2014 at which point I believe the memory started failing. I was getting all kinds of artifacts on the screen until one day it was nothing but artifacts and became unusable. I called EVGA tech support on the weekend (fantastic experience) and had a cross shipped warranty replacement back in my computer in 6 days. I was very happy with my RMA experience.

Other Thoughts: I would purchase EVGA again.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought two of these for two different builds. Nothing but quality through and through. 0 issues. EVGA produces the best what would you expect.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Graphics Card!

Pros: I've been able to max out games like Borderlands 2 and Starcraft 2 while experiencing very nice FPS. This card overclocks well while staying silent

Cons: It requires 2 PCI-e power connectors so make sure you have enough, especially if your going to use multiple cards through SLI. Also make sure you have enough room in your case, this card is massive.

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with this card and EVGA's graphics cards in general. However, at this point in time it may be better to look into the new 700 series.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Pro's are the GPU is amazing. I plan on buying a second or upgrading to a duel Titan set up (SLI). Feel free to check out my YouTube channel and Twitch TV @MrJughead87 for when I do the giveaway on my GTX 680.

Cons: Con's are that your able to run multiple monitors but not all with audio.

2 out of 5 eggsNot enough VRAM

Pros: Very high clock speeds, low power usage, and generally great performance.

Cons: My biggest complaint is with the GTX 680's in general not having enough RAM, and not having the ram they do have run fast enough. This is 256 bit Ram not the faster 384 bit ram from the 580 series. Seriously the GTX280, had 1 GB of ram and now 4 generations later we are only now getting 2 GB cards? It is simply not enough VRAM for modern games using high resolution textures at 1920x1080 resolution. And if you wanted a multi-monitor set-up forget about it, this is nowhere near sufficient. I have one monitor at 1920x1080 and with all settings set to high in STALKER Call of Pripyat (with high res texture mods), it maxes out the VRAM on this card. I just think this card would be a lot better with 4GB of ram and suggest getting that model or getting the HD7970 with 3GB instead.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't play nice with MSI Afterburner, but does work with EVGA Precision X. Don't get me wrong the card is a beast, and serves up great performance, but I can't help but feel frustrated when I see a game as old as Stalker call of Pripyat is using up 2000MB of video ram but only utilizing the GPU at 50%, and think wow I bet this would run a lot faster than the 45FPS I am getting right now if it had a little more RAM to handel these massive draw distances and all these high resolution textures.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pretty much what you would expect from a top tier GPU. This is the best card you can get below the ridiculous 1000 dollar range, for now. Laughs in the face of my games and their puny graphical requirements.

Even runs fine alongside a 3820, 5 giant LED fans and plenty of other power drains on the old 500w PSU I stuck in to run it while waiting for the RMA on the real PSU for this system, despite Nvidia insisting on a 550w minimum.

Cons: Same as for every other computer component... The always looming reality of inevitable obsolescence. But not today!

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely powerful

Pros: Runs all my graphics-demanding games on the highest setting without any framerate issues. I'm getting 60 FPS while in COD online, with the field of view turned to highest as well.

This thing is ginormous, so make sure your tower has room for it.
On my Asus P8Z77-LK motherboard, it covers up an additional PCI slot because of its size!

Overall an awesome card, extremely happy with it, have only played a couple games on it so far since the install, but it has been awesome, and it stays quite cool.

Cons: This thing is HUGE and takes up a lot of room.
Almost feels a little unstable in my tower because of its size, makes me want to prop it up with something.
