Go to the next level with the EVGA GeForce GTX 680. This card delivers truly game-changing performance that taps into the powerful new GeForce architecture to redefine smooth, seamless, lifelike gaming. It offers brand new, never before seen features that will redefine the way you think about performance graphics cards. Expect more from your graphics card than just state-of-the-art features and technology; get a faster, smoother and richer gaming experience with the EVGA GeForce GTX 680.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

2 out of 5 eggsNot enough VRAM

Pros: Very high clock speeds, low power usage, and generally great performance.

Cons: My biggest complaint is with the GTX 680's in general not having enough RAM, and not having the ram they do have run fast enough. This is 256 bit Ram not the faster 384 bit ram from the 580 series. Seriously the GTX280, had 1 GB of ram and now 4 generations later we are only now getting 2 GB cards? It is simply not enough VRAM for modern games using high resolution textures at 1920x1080 resolution. And if you wanted a multi-monitor set-up forget about it, this is nowhere near sufficient. I have one monitor at 1920x1080 and with all settings set to high in STALKER Call of Pripyat (with high res texture mods), it maxes out the VRAM on this card. I just think this card would be a lot better with 4GB of ram and suggest getting that model or getting the HD7970 with 3GB instead.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't play nice with MSI Afterburner, but does work with EVGA Precision X. Don't get me wrong the card is a beast, and serves up great performance, but I can't help but feel frustrated when I see a game as old as Stalker call of Pripyat is using up 2000MB of video ram but only utilizing the GPU at 50%, and think wow I bet this would run a lot faster than the 45FPS I am getting right now if it had a little more RAM to handel these massive draw distances and all these high resolution textures.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pretty much what you would expect from a top tier GPU. This is the best card you can get below the ridiculous 1000 dollar range, for now. Laughs in the face of my games and their puny graphical requirements.

Even runs fine alongside a 3820, 5 giant LED fans and plenty of other power drains on the old 500w PSU I stuck in to run it while waiting for the RMA on the real PSU for this system, despite Nvidia insisting on a 550w minimum.

Cons: Same as for every other computer component... The always looming reality of inevitable obsolescence. But not today!

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely powerful

Pros: Runs all my graphics-demanding games on the highest setting without any framerate issues. I'm getting 60 FPS while in COD online, with the field of view turned to highest as well.

This thing is ginormous, so make sure your tower has room for it.
On my Asus P8Z77-LK motherboard, it covers up an additional PCI slot because of its size!

Overall an awesome card, extremely happy with it, have only played a couple games on it so far since the install, but it has been awesome, and it stays quite cool.

Cons: This thing is HUGE and takes up a lot of room.
Almost feels a little unstable in my tower because of its size, makes me want to prop it up with something.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: upgraded from a 550ti, the difference is just absurd.
Games like MWO or SC2 run so smooth on ultra/brutal it made me giggle.
Fan makes 0 noise, can't ask for anything else.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Go ahead and buy it, u will not be disappointed, its worth the price tag.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast of card

Pros: -Runs every game on Ultra
-Runs cool and quite
-Works great with windows 8
-Will blow away any console graphics

Cons: only con really is the price, but it really is worth it and is a great investment.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a radeon HD 6450 to this ( HUGE jump) and have never been happier, I play all my games on Ultra with no problems at all. I just finished playing Bioshock Infinite and it was gorgeous. I have seen a few people say that that they have had issues with this card and windows 8, but I have been running windows 8 on dual monitors without a single problem. I also have to recommend you download the geforce experience if you get this card, great for staying up to date with drivers and also optimizes the games it finds on your hard drive for the card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This card runs very quiet and cool when I compare it to my old duel slot ati 5870. The fan never spins up louder than any one of my case fans. It runs nearly every game out at the moment at 1080p with the graphics on high so it should be fine for just about anyone who is looking for a single card to game on. An example of a game that might give it trouble is Crysis 3 with HD textures and DX11 effects set to max with anti-alising. Also witcher 2 with everything turned up and ubersampling/supersampling turned on will hit your FPS hard. These are extreme examples and most people probably won't mind turning down one or two settings to get that solid 60 fps but it is something to note if you want to play EVERYTHING, if that's the case, go for either 2 x 680's in sli - a 690 if you want the duel gpu model or save up for a titan. Something else I really like, I've been a AMD user for many years and this is my first Nvidia card in a long time, I really like how clean and simple the Nvidia drivers are. The layout and details about each setting is nice.

Cons: The price is a bit on the high side for something that does slow down in a few high spec games at max settings, but it still hits a solid 60 fps in nearly everything else.

Other Thoughts: This card is recognized by my video editing software (sony home studio platinum - the lil brother of sony vegas) and it can be used to speed up rendering of videos I think so that is a big plus because my last card didn't do that.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA GTX 680

Pros: Consumes less power than the EVGA GTX 580, has better clock speeds, runs a lot cooler, and is not a loud card.

Cons: It won't make me dinner.. like my wife... i'm still cooking for myself :/

Other Thoughts: Do it, get it, pwn with it!

4 out of 5 eggsWindows 8 Error

Pros: Runs BF3 great.

Cons: Only lasted about a week.

Other Thoughts: It made Windows 8 loop into error mode, would not let it load.
