Built from the same DNA as its bigger brothers, GTX 680, the GeForce GTX 670 brings the performance and features of 28nm Kepler architecture to a more affordable price point. The GTX 670 comes with 1344 CUDA cores and a base clock of 915 MHz, slightly lower than the GTX 680, but is essentially identical in all other aspects. It provides a great upgrade compared to its predecessor, GTX 570 with average 41% performance increase and runs over 50% faster in many demanding DirectX 11 games, while remaining extremely power efficient at 175w TDP with 28nm process. The breakthrough NVIDIA GPU Boost technology pushes the performance to the limit by intelligently increasing clock speed based on actual work load. An array of NVIDIA exclusive technology, such as NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync for stuttering- and tearing-free gaming, NVIDIA Surround with up to four monitors, two new Anti-aliasing modes of FXAA and TXAA, NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready, and NVIDIA PhysX Technology works in concert to ensure you get the most immersive and impressive gaming experience.

The included EVGA Precision X-, designed from the ground up to support new GPU, redefines what overclocking software should be with easy and precise tuning for GPU Clock speed, GPU Voltage, Memory Clock speed and Fan speed.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card, better EVGA

Pros: I wanted to give EVGA props for their excellent support regards RMAs. I have a very similar card by them and the first one died about 1.5 years after I'd purchased it. EVGA immediately agreed to RMA it for me, no fuss, and the replacement has been running great ever since.

Cons: No cons to the card once it gets past the 1-1.5 year mark.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware EVGA

Pros: For quite an expensive graphics card, it worked well the first year under light stress (Adobe Photoshop, Portal, etc.). I never put this thing through its paces... can't imagine how quickly it would've died had I done so.

Cons: I've owned this card for 24 months now. It began dying 6-8 months ago. The BSODs which always point to the graphics driver as well as shell notifications about kernel mode display drivers experiencing errors now occur after just 2-3 minutes of using Photoshop. These cards apparently have VERY premature mortality issues. Worst of all, I spent half an hour on the phone tonight with EVGA tech support trying to explain to the rep that the S/N on my card contains a letter in it, which he says bars him from being able to start the RMA process. I asked to speak to this person's manager, at which point he snickered and said, "You really think managers work weekends? Call back Monday morning."

Looks like I'm paying the steep price for having chosen what was at the time a higher end EVGA card. They don't even provide adequate product support when users have issues with their cards. Unless they are willing to make this right in a timely fashion, this will be the last time EVGA receives my hard earned cash.

Other Thoughts: Stay far, far away...

1 out of 5 eggsOver Heating Issue

Pros: It's a graphics card and it lets me play some of the games i own.

Cons: I've had to RMA this card twice and have had the same problem with each card. It can't handle any games with better grapchis than League of Legends. The fan on the card isn't large enough to keep the card cool, even running it as maximum speed. After about 2~20 minutes of playing anything requiring effort from the card, the computer suddenly shuts down.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this, you'll end up buying another anyway.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: This card is an amazing performer. The only games I experience iffy frames in are simulation based games that tax the CPU more, which I could use to update. Simple, texture based games like Battlefield and Far Cry are a breeze for this card.

Cons: A metal strip on the card wasn't glued on very well, and peeled off over time. I had to superglue it back on. I consider EVGA to be a pretty decent brand, so inconsistent build qualities I may just have to chalk up as being bad luck. The price of this card is also high, being EVGA, and I would have liked to have seen it run a bit cooler. My PC has excellent cable management, the CPU is watercooled, and I have a massive 200mm exhaust fan at the top of my case. This card is running at it's stock speeds, and it seems like boost won't even kick in. It reaches it's throttling temperature at stock speeds when stress testing.

3 out of 5 eggsGood card but some driver issues?

Pros: Runs Battlefield 3, Skyrim, and many other games on the highest settings at at a constant 60FPS. Have had this card for almost 2 years and have had barely any issues. (See Cons for the issues)

Cons: I've played many games with this card flawlessly and only when I played Dead Space did I receive a horrible surprise. I got a red screen crash; My screen displayed only the color red and I wasn't able to do anything. The only thing I heard was this weird buzzing noise, it kind of sounded like one sound was being looped 1000x. I had to hard reset(Actually hold down the power button on my tower). If I went into windowed mode, I wouldn't get this hard crash, but the display driver would crash and recover.

Never had that issue with any other game, until recently. In games such as Assassin's Creed IV, Batman: Arkham Origins, Battlefield 4, and even Far Cry 3 I get the same type of crash. Except it isn't a red screen anymore, now it's gray, black or white. I still get the sound loop and have to hard reset. I can't play more then 15 minutes of these games because of it. I thought that maybe it was just a driver issue, recently many people have been having problems with the latest Nvidia drivers. Every new driver the came out I tried them, and non of them fix the crash. For some reason one of the latest ones even crashed Far Cry 3, while the older ones ran the game fan. I went to the Nvidia forums and constantly posted my problems with each new driver release. Finally receiving a reply from someone:

"Sorry mate, but if 314.22 is the only driver you can use, its something wrong with your system or the graphics card.

I've been installing 600 and 700 series cards for months into new pc's and the latest drivers have always just worked, only had 2 issues of crashing and it was unstable preoverclocked ****."

I don't know what to think...

Other Thoughts: This card has been working great for me except for more recent games. If you're looking for a card that can run the latest released then I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Card is great in a high end gaming rig especially in SLI very solid i have had 2 of them in SLI and I have nothing bad to say about it. It is very beast.
Hint for all future builders if you want to get 2 cards please be advised to use a PSU of 870W minimum in my opinion and of high caliber. Just a friendly tip.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsDied too soon

Pros: Card was wonderfully fast, did a great job on my engineering work and playing games on high settings, even purposely underclocked and undertaxed

Cons: When I got it, it was a new card, so I paid about 500 and for the first 2 months it was incredibly glitchy, but that was a driver issue.

Once that was resolved, I was happy, and it worked great for a year. But I've had it for a year and 3 months now, and it is dying. Less than 3 months out of the 50 dollar warranty I got for it, the temperatures frequently breach 90 C and it has always crashed anywhere above 87 C (even though rated to over 100C), so I've had to turn settings down to the point where I was running on a 7 year old card before I upgraded. The card is essentially junk now as I can't do anything on it and I've got to buy a new one.

I never taxed it too hard, always kept the temperature below 80 (had the fan settings to keep the temperature under 70, rarely passed it until recently). It glitches dozens of times a day even just doing word documents and browsing facebook.

When I spent 500 on a card, I was expecting it to last me a few years, not get out of warranty and immediately crapped the bed. I'm very disappointed and mad at EVGA, I'm going to have to cash the last of my savings bonds just to afford to replace it, and I'm tempted to swear of EVGA forever.

I was a responsible owner and it didn't matter because the craftsmanship was junk, and it couldn't even do me the liberty of crashing inside of the warranty, it had to wait just over 2 months. I built my comp knowing I couldn't afford to replace it until I finished college, 10 months from now, and STILL it couldn't last.

Other Thoughts: Running on an AsRock EXTREME6 motherboard
intel i7 3820
16 GB ram
256 GB SSD
1500 Watt power supply
Thor V2 case with EXTENSIVE cooling

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Newegg Customer,

The majority of our GPU products have a 3 year warranty by default, including this part number. As well as if you purchased the extended warranty as it appears you did. You should have an even longer period of time beyond that. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can look into this for you and get you set up with an RMA and resolve this situation.

Thanks for your review, and thanks for being an EVGA customer.

4 out of 5 eggsLove EVGA

Pros: - Great card, great temps with 28 idle on water and around 45 max.
- Over 120fps on most games that you can throw at it.

Cons: - Docked one egg because i have had some issues overclocking this card. These new EVGA cards come with GPU boost which you cant turn off, and it has actually caused crashing in some games which has forced me to downclock it. Seems to be a pretty uncommon issue though from what i have seen.
