5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Intent was to use this card to power a Hannspree sc24lmub tv as a third monitor. a clean install of windows 7 only recognized my two Hanns G 24 inch monitors.on my main NVidia 9800 card After installing the standard NVidia video drivers up it popped, Win 7 understood it, Ultramon moved the status bar across all three monitors. I have had zero issues for the last month that I have owned. it. I am not a big gamer but this card running a third monitor has been flawless in all my graphic applications Adobe creative suite 6, Microsoft office 2013 with this Visio suite, anything from youtube, and the occasional DVD movie. For the price that I paid very happy

Cons: none noted yet

Other Thoughts: Did what I expected with no flicker or tearing as it should

5 out of 5 eggsgood basic GPU

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: for just desktop applications and maybe some light gaming (old games, not BF or COD or whatever). uses almost no power and makes no heat (idles at 77f, which is room temp). doesn't add an extra screen to bios when starting up the computer. works fine....

Cons: fan can get loud, thats about it....

Other Thoughts: you CAN play some games with it if you want but you can cook the GPU... old skool stuff in dx7 and some Source engine games will work. i can play fallout NV on low settings with 40FPS, but the card is cooking at 180 degrees F

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for dual monitors

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Bought this card to run dual monitors on my Dell Inspiron desktop w/Windows 7. Installed in PCI slot, connected monitors, started up, and drivers installed automatically. Didn't need the driver CD that came with it. Couldn't have been easier. Video quality is excellent. Using it for basic desktop work, Internet surfing, grandkids games.

Cons: None.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Low End Upgrade to PCI

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Cheap, Very small and overclocked easy.

Cons: The card is very low end, this card will. This card lacks the gusto that you need to play any recent games such as battlefield 4 or even 3. I currently have an amd FX6100 and an MSI 970a motherboard this video card is by far my bottleneck.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend you save another 50$ and get something decent other then purchase this.

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Newegg Customer,

We’re sorry that you’re having issues with (Product/problem details here).

This is a card that is not really intended for gaming. It is more of a desktop application card. We generally recommend something from the GTX line for any kind of gaming.

Thanks for your review, and thanks for being an EVGA customer.

Sincerely,
EVGA Customer Support

4 out of 5 eggswon't play HD

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: it's a really cheap card, only requires 300W power supply

Cons: running 2.20 GHz E4500 Core 2 Duo processor, but still can't play HD videos. Won't stream 720p/1080p videos on youtube. Using Windows Media Player or BSPlayer can't watch HD videos smoothly.

Other Thoughts: bought this for my parent's PC after their monitor broke, needed an DVI/HDMI output, couldn't get a better card due to power supply constraints.

4 out of 5 eggsNIVIDIA Card vs NVIDEASoftware

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: I used this video card in a new PC build and, will say that this card contributed to my faster PC as soon as I replaced the old video card I had intended to use.

Cons: After about two months my new PC started freezing followed by a black screen and crashing. I replaced the C drive (a 256 GB SSD) and things looked up but recently, following an NVIDIA update, I have been seeing the same problem only now it is followed by a message that the NVIDIA driver has encountered a problem, black screen and a recovery.

3 out of 5 eggsOne Dual link, One Single link DVI.

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Works well within its specifications.

Cons: It's very easy to miss the fact that this card has only ONE Dual Link DVI and a second Single Link DVI. You are not going to drive a second screen with the same high resolution as the first. Buy the next card up (GT 620).

Other Thoughts: Newegg's specifications miss this detail, but EVGA doesn't make it easy to determine either unless you do a careful comparison of multiple models.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Multi Monitor Displays

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Bought 6 of these - all work perfectly.
Multi-monitor display
Price

Cons: Definitely not a gaming video card by today's standards

Other Thoughts: Our company uses dual monitors for our employees and some of our newer computers don't have 2 available display ports. We picked these up for super cheap and they work perfectly.

1 out of 5 eggsBSOD within minutes

This review is from: EVGA 01G-P3-2616-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Inexpensive dual head DVI and easy configuration

Cons: BSOD within minutes of installation requiring safe mode reboot and lots of diagnostics to attempt to repair installation.

Card not recognized after uninstall of drivers

Other Thoughts: Despite the low price and hype, this card doesn't fulfill expectations.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I apologize for the experience you have been having with this card. Please contact us at 888-881-3842 so we can work to resolve this for you.

Thank you,
