The powerful new GeForce GT 600-series architecture delivers not only state-of-the-art features and technology, but also gives you truly game-changing performance different from the way you experience all your favorite titles now and in the future.

  • newegg NVIDIA CUDA Technology CUDA technology unlocks the power of the GPU’s processor cores to accelerate the most demanding tasks such as video transcoding, physics simulation, ray tracing, and more, delivering incredible performance improvements over traditional CPUs.
  • newegg NVIDIA PhysX Technology Full support for NVIDIA PhysX technology enables a totally new class of physical gaming interaction for a more dynamic and realistic experience with GeForce.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsBought For Business

Pros: Runs 2 monitors flawlessly with a Celeron CPU.

Cons: Not SLI compatible (lol).

Other Thoughts: Decent cheaper than dirt card that will do anything that you want it to (aside from gaming).

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect tool for the job - LOVIN' IT!

Pros: Fast, nVidia drivers, PCIe 2x & 3x, no high power PSU required, high res. sharp display, runs cool & quiet, Win 7 native dual display setup a breeze.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: This is NOT a high end gamer card. But its PERFECT for dual display on general workstations w/out spending much. EVGA made this the perfect tool for that, couldn't ask for much more. If their past durability is as good as it's been for us, this card is a MUST have. For the price, you can easily upsell 2 LED monitors. We put one in a small office as a demo, and the entire staff had monitor envy. Dual display makes for better productivity. I hope they continue to innovate at the SMB level.

Nice job EVGA!

3 out of 5 eggsOne Dual, One Single

Pros: Works for what it does

Cons: Only has one Dual Link. I thought it had two, but only had one so it couldn't drive two 2560x1600 monitors.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I apologize for any confusion. We do list the information regarding the DVI ports on the website and on the box it's self.

Thank you,
Brandon B

5 out of 5 eggsDoesn't Sleep Well

Pros: Great office computer dual monitor card at this price point. I like the way it handles moving windows from one monitor to the other. Very intuitive and great picture on both monitors.

Cons: Seems to have trouble waking up both monitors after the computer goes to sleep. A quick CAD and cancel and I'm up and running, but that doesn't seem kosher.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Basic SOHO Video Card

Pros: I have installed several of these over the last 5 months in professional office workstations and they have served my clients well. These cards are not gaming cards, so don't expect them to be. They run Win7 aero just fine and run my clients software without issue.

Several clients run 2 of these in their workstation for 3 to 4 monitor setups and they run great.

Cons: No complaints thus far.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card for the frugal.

Pros: Inexpensive.
5 Eggs for general desktop use (OS/Word/Web Browsing/Video/Most Browser type games)

3 Eggs for gaming

3 Eggs for Everything else.

Cons: If you need a card for any recent games look to something newer.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card because I was given a new motherboard that lacked an on board graphics accelerator and the only spare I had laying around was a VooDoo2 (Ha! Remember those?)

Works great for my HTPC purposes. It has a mini HDMI port and 2DVI ports. Make sure your monitor has the proper ports or purchase the appropriate cable/adapter.

No complaints here.

5 out of 5 eggsPlug and Play; No Problem

Pros: I am using the card for dual monitor display (driving 2x23") and not for gaming. The installation is simple and straightforward. No Problem whatsoever.

Cons: nothing yet

4 out of 5 eggsGeForce GT 610

Pros: Surprisingly pretty good at gaming (Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, Skyrim) Never wanted a video card to tear up games, i bought this as a temporary gaming card while I save up to buy a high-end pc.

Cons: No mini-hdmi to hdmi adapter

Other Thoughts: Bought this card at best buy, got the superclocked version (+20mhz on core clock) I don't know if it's the version i bought or if all don't come with a mini-hdmi to hdmi. No bother though, my screen is only 720p to begin with, so it's not a big deal.

2 out of 5 eggsSeriously?

Pros: Not necessarily a bad card. Excellent for a dual monitor setup or a work computer.

also cheap!

Cons: You will not be playing high end games with this. Low memory bandwidth creates a bottleneck and most applications barely use 2 gb of vram anyway.

Other Thoughts: This appears to be a rebranded Gt 520 2gb card... Whats going on here Nvidia?

I will put this in my linux box and use it there not worth it for my windows pc.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize for any confusion over the specs for the 2617. Its mainly geared towards an HTPC or dual monitor setup but not intended as a gaming card. If you are in the market for something to game with I would recommend a 550 or higher.

1 out of 5 eggsWhy?

Pros: It's PCIe?

Cons: 64-bit memory bandwidth with 2GB of DDR3 VRAM are you serious? You'll never get to use that VRAM because of that bottleneck.

Other Thoughts: For the price, go get something else. 128bit min.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize if you were unaware of the memory bandwidth. For a low end card designed for HTPC setups or to allow for dual monitors you should not see any performance difference.
