Powered by the fastest and most power efficient GPU ever built by NVIDIA, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card changes your game with unprecedented performance and features. This card is based on 28nm Kepler architecture and built around 1536 CUDA Cores with 4GB/256-bit GDDR5 memory, producing reality-redefining power and bringing smooth, seamless, true-to-life gaming like you have never experienced before. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. More than speed, this card packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI. With these features and more, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 gives you more than one way to elevate your experience.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsInsane!

Pros: Wow, this card is really mean and fast! I came from a Nvidia GTX 560ti and im just amazed! I do have some hickups because im running a older CPU and mobo but i can imagine this cards full potential! 3rd from top of the line and every game i toss at it on max just runs so smooth! Im a huge Aion and BattleField 3 player.

Build -
CPU -AMD Phenom II x4 965BE @ 3.4GHz
Mobo -ECS A780GM-A (pcie 2.0) <v-card supports 3.0>
RAM - 4GB x G.SKILL (4 x 2GB) DDR2 SDRAM
Antec DF-85 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
HHD x2 WD 500GB 7200RPM

Cons: None so far! very happy with the buy.

Other Thoughts: Will be upgrading my Motherboard and CPU soon to support this cards full potentials. Also would love to buy another one and run SLI.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat I expected

Pros: Quiet
Sleek Looking
Overall a quality product

Cons: Price is still high, but worth it

Other Thoughts: I was torn between this card, and the new EVGA GTX Titan card but ultimately decided on this card. I figured this card has been out longer and thus the kinks have been worked out. Plus I have heard nothing bad about the GTX 680 so that also helped me decide. I think I'll give the Titan another year before I order one.

Overall this card runs all of my current games on max settings flawlessly, never dropping below 60FPS.

5 out of 5 eggsBF3, Crysis 3, EVE online

Pros: Looks great, feels solid, back-plate rules. Runs quiet as HELL. Set my fan curve in EVGA precision and it is silent in Windows 7, barely audible in games. Fan speed goes up to 75% when gaming, keeping the temp at 69-70. This seems perfect to me.

BF3 looks beautiful, running on ultra everything except motion blur off. Performance is as expected.... good enough but, see cons...

Cons: Still get framerate dips in BF3 and Crysis 3. Minimum of low 40s. This isn't surprising, but I just wish you could spend $500+ on a single video card solution, and never see less than 80 frames. Not the cards fault, its the games. Part optimization, part just pure eye candy. What can you do?

Other Thoughts: Love it, despite price tag.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best hands down

Pros: Got 2 of these over a gtx titan. Because they will out perform a titan and I can add a third for less than 2 titans. Installed great, back plate looks perfect. Finish is awesome, and they are quieter than my old 570's. I feel that the 4gb of ram will help this video card perform further into the future. However to be on par with amd these cards should come with 6gb.

Cons: It should be cheaper, and the in game promo for bonus bucks kind of sucks. I would rather have had the amd promo for an actual free game.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance, My Favorite Card

Pros: The card was easy to install, quieter than I expected, and performs well. I purchased this card primarily for use with Microsoft's Kinect Fusion, and have been very pleased with the frame rates so far. The variety of output options on the backplate is also a plus.

Decided on the 4GB because I don't want to buy another video card for a long long time.

Cons: I didn't realize the card needed at least 38A on the +12V rail, so I needed to replace my power supply. (I decided on the Thermaltake Smart M850W, which is quiet and has modular cables.) The card is not the longest I've seen, but it was long enough to require moving my hard drives to I'm not used to spending this much on a video card.

I could have done without the included poster and giant "enthusiast built" stickers.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have a power supply with at least 38A on the +12V rail, be sure to factor in the cost of a new power supply.

Configuration: ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard, 16GB DDR3 RAM, Intel i7-3770K CPU, Thermaltake Smart M850W PSU, Antec Three Hundred case, Corsair H80 Liquid cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsCard not the cause of audio error

Pros: Works perfectly; See previous post

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I tracked down the cause of the audio distortion and the card is not at fault. I have no complaints at all about the card's performance.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Everything at Max/Ultra; single display

Pros: The card is built solid. Install was simple and painless. A few restarts and a fresh driver download and I was playing games within 30 minutes of opening the box. Played around with BioShock Infinite, The Witcher 2, BF3, and Dead Space 3 all at maxed out settings, everything ran silky smooth and the temp only got up to 50C. It runs on my older board in a PCIE 2.0 16 slot with no problems at all. I am only using a single monitor so this thing isn't working very hard. The overclock software included is pretty cool but so far I'm just using stock settings; again single monitor is a joke to this card.

Cons: I get audio hum and buzz on the mobo audio outputs when the card cranks up and starts processing detailed 3D graphics. Its annoying but probably more fault of the motherboard power distribution. USB audio is fine as an alternative. I bought a PCI sound card so the audio can have its own dedicated power; will install later tonight, expect no problems.

Other Thoughts: This card is replacing dual 5770's. I had about the easiest install you can imagine, just dropped it into slot one and plugged in the power connections from the 2 cards it replaced and it was done. Doesn't get much easier than that. Its kind of big and sits right on top of my SATA connections for my hard drives but everything seems to work fine and gets along.

I can do math and read so I'm not gonna whine about the price.

I haven't used the Hawken, World of Tanks, and PlanetSide 2 coupon yet. Meh, not reall pumped on any of those titles, I just wanted the darn card.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb Card

Pros: Fast, reliable, tons of memory, great backplate (support + cooling), great mounting plate (cooling), superb monitor/TV connection options. Very well built, typical of EVGA products. Unbeatable warranty (remember to register your card ASAP).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased two GTX 680's to replace two GTX 580's because I was going from using one Dell U3011 monitor @ 2560x1600 to three Dell U3011 monitors @ 7680x1600. I wanted to make sure I had enough graphics speed/memory to handle any current game at playable frame rates, hopefully 40+ fps, and future-proof as well. The GTX 680's have not disappointed. I will not be overclocking them (although that might happen with Precision X in the future), and they are running about 10 degrees Celsius cooler than the GTX 580's, drawing less power as well. They function superbly with my EVGA Classified X58 board and i7 980X @ 4.2GHz.

BTW, the cards arrived one day early, which for me is typical of the service that Newegg provides. Thank you Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsIt works as it should for the price I paid...

Pros: It runs most games at high to ultra settings. Somewhat quite and cooler than the 580's. It can do a 3 monitor setup like mine but not well. So that leaves me to buy 2 of these cards and set up SLI....

Cons: It costs a ton. I can get a new set of tires for my car cheaper.

Other Thoughts: Why do people want to bring back SG1. Those guys are old as snot now.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: This card is a beast, any graphic intensive program you through at it, it will deliver! I purchased two, and set them up in SLI, and I must say, SLI overclocked GTX 680's is outstanding!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this card!
