Powered by the fastest and most power efficient GPU ever built by NVIDIA, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card changes your game with unprecedented performance and features. This card is based on 28nm Kepler architecture and built around 1536 CUDA Cores with 4GB/256-bit GDDR5 memory, producing reality-redefining power and bringing smooth, seamless, true-to-life gaming like you have never experienced before. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. More than speed, this card packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI. With these features and more, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 gives you more than one way to elevate your experience.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it Love it Love it

Pros: Excellent card! I'm using two 23" monitors at 1980x1020 resolution. I use HD texture pack mods on every game (Skyrim, Dark Souls, Fallout 3, etc.), watch HD movies and record while gaming, and this card handles it all with ease.
Installation was a snap. I'm extremely satisfied.

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsGood for SLI

Pros: Have 2 of these in a watercooled SLI build. Turning SLI off in games such as ARMA 3 drastically reduces performance. I have it always on. Since SLI is utilized by nearly every 3D application nowadays I have it on always. Even after 1 year of ownership I still turn graphics to near max settings in every game. Good longevity.

Cons: I really didn't need the backplate. I realized that I was simply going to replace it with the watercooling heatsink backplate after the fact. Expensive when I bought.

5 out of 5 eggsA Gamers Dream Card

Pros: Every game that I through at this card I play on max settings and there is never any lag. Games from Metro Last Light, Tombraider 2013 to Command and Conquer Beta and Final Fantasy 14 Beta. If I get a chance to play the new Elder Scrolls Online Beta, I will see just how good the graphics are. I highly recommend for a single card. I haven't used the SLI option yet so I can comment on that.

Cons: Price is high for me but well worth the price.

4 out of 5 eggsWish I hadn't

Pros: Capable of playing the new Tomb Raider @ 1920x1080 with TressFX enabled. Less noise than I expected. Attractive heat-sink-fan assembly.

Cons: It's HUGE!! Two full inches longer than my motherboard, thankfully I have a full tower to accommodate it's volume.

Other Thoughts: Three days after I had this card in my hand, the GTX 780 was announced. Thankfully it's an eVGA, so I can pay the difference and step-up if I chose.

5 out of 5 eggsTop marks

Pros: Crazy amount of RAM in the 4GB edition, more processing power than you may ever need. I have yet to find a game that I can get lower then 50 FPS on with this card. Handles any resolution I've asked it to like a true champ.

Cons: Power draw is a bit steep and it puts out a considerable amount of warmth during intense gaming. Notice I said warmth not heat, its not a scorcher like some other cards I've experienced.

Other Thoughts: Still a hefty price tag when you consider there is new and "better" out on the market but still worth the investment.

5 out of 5 eggscouldn't help myself

Pros: i wanted to hold off writing a review because i knew i was getting a power house. The only thing to report on is if it doesn't break, and well yeah, it hasn't broken, I don't think it will. This thing chews through everything, I haven't seen a frame drop.

Cons: does not reach temperatures suitable for the cooking of bacon.

5 out of 5 eggsOverkill? Yes. Still bought it.

Pros: FPS gaming in 5760 x 1200, WITHOUT ANY STUTTERING, is pretty freaking awesome. Seriously, playing FarCry 3 in that resolution is a very unique experience. The core clock idles just above 800 MHz, but shoots to 1100 MHz under load. StarCraft 2 fairs equally well, and some might say this card is overkill for RTS, but I disagree. When you've got well over 200 units in frame, and each one of them is moving smooth as butter, with all settings maxed out, you just get a huge smile on your face.

I think it's also worth mentioning that this thing is extremely quiet. I only every get a tiny wine out of it when under load. If you're into water-cooling, I wouldn't put a waterblock on this thing just for the sake of keeping it quiet.

Cons: Derp! COST! But, seriously, this card is relatively future-proof and worth the extra cash. Gets pretty hot. I'll be throwing a waterblock on it pretty soon.

Other Thoughts: If you're on the fence between a comparable 2 GB SLI solution versus a single 4 GB card, then definitely go with the 4 GB solution. Also, I won't go into the ATI/AMD versus NVIDIA debate, but I previously had a pair of 4870s in Crossfire, and of course this blows that setup out of the water, but it's not fair to even compare the two. My point is: I feel happier with a single card versus SLI or Crossfire from both a cost/benefit perspective and a power consumption perspective. I understand it is all a matter of personal preference, but my recommendation is for a single card.
