4 out of 5 eggsNot so great experience with card, but EVGA - wow!

Pros: Low profile w/ incl. bracket, powerful for it's size

Cons: Fan broke faaaaaast.

Other Thoughts: The card worked well for about 7 months. Just after Windows 8.1 was released I noticed that my HTPC would "black out" - initially I thought this was Windows 8.1 and/or driver issues, but things just didn't point to software problems. A popular app I use called WhoCrashed stopped working with Windows 8.1 so I had to dig into event logs, crash dumps etc. where I found no culprits. First awkward thing was that the HTPC was actually not rebooting, I was the one who had to reboot manually. Second thing was that sometimes the video didn't come up on reboot. Finally, these blanking occurred with or without stress, all it needed was time. WhoCrashed released an update and confirmed what I was thinking, there were no software/driver issues. Anyway, long story short(er), eventually things ended up pointing to hardware; I open up the system to realize the fan is dead, which is something I didn't consider since the card isn't even a year old otherwise the fan would have been the first thing I'd check.

I RMA'd the card with EVGA thinking they would just replace the fan but they sent me another card entirely.

Here's where and why they shine. I purchased the card for a low profile system. When I swapped brackets, I have no clue what I did with the regular one, and either way I thought they were just going to replace the fan. (I guess they found something else wrong?). So I sent them my card with the low profile bracket installed but since they sent a different card, no low profile bracket was included. I accepted this essentially as my fault because they do say to return it without accessories and the low profile bracket is an accessory. I wrote to them asking if they could send a (or my own, improbable but hopefully) low profile bracket to me since I'd have no way to mount the card.

They have! I just got a UPS notification that EVGA has sent me a low profile bracket. So here I am with my story, officially impressed with EVGA customer service. I was planning to sort of write off the brand, like Sapphire after all once bitten, twice shy (every Sapphire card I've owned had it's fan go bad within months) but now I'm a "fan". :)

Thanks EVGA, you're a breath of fresh air.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: Works well upon mounting, installing it and updating. Little to no real fan noise on a sturdy case.

Cons: Requires latest beta drives to run well on a few games.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the money and shipping costs for people on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Slim, Quiet, Fast, Easy Install

Cons: Non so far

Other Thoughts: I spent 2 days trying to upgrade my video card. First I tried a Radeon HD 6670 which failed and was a huge headache, I sent that back. Then I picked up a Radeon HD 5640, which also failed and kept giving me blue screens. I was fedup with AMD, So i tried this card and BOOM! It installed with easy and auto updated the driver with no Issues. I got this to play Diablo 3 with no issues on 1920x1080. It also loads videos and pictures online really quick. I'm back to being an NVIDIA user, no more AMD. For $50 this can not be beat

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Manufactured by eVGA (this is no minor consideration, I buy strictly from evga). Works as advertised.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This card is being seriously underused for what I bought it for. Was needed by a cardiac physician for image processing, but is not yet being put to use. For now it just sits in a rather unused machine doing what any integrated video card could do.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty decent

Pros: It comes with everything, and the price for the kind of performance is right.

Cons: No stickers?

Other Thoughts: I had this one originally for a HTPC build that I've yet to use; but had to pull it out to replace a HD 6850 that died on me on one of my PC's

Performance wise, I think it is comparable to the HD 6450 but a bit faster. I've played a couple of games with it and it runs fine if you take in mind the limitations.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Low Profile Graphics card

Pros: One of the best Graphic cards under 50 dollars on Newegg , when i first saw this graphics card, I brought it after Christmas and i thought it was going to be bad but turns out this is one the best low profile Graphics Card I Ever Had...

Easy TO install Drivers, doesn't take a long time. Updates automatically. Has a fan... and doesn't overheat, The graphics are Fine for a low profile not too extreme, But u can play some of the newest games at Low to medium settings.

Like me i have battlefield 3 and i get about 30 fps with decent Graphics

Cons: Nothing i can think of

Other Thoughts: I highly Recommond this card if your looking for somthing cheap and easy

1 out of 5 eggsDecent card, terrible fan Noisy after 6 days of ontime.

Pros: WEI rating was decent, a notch higher than the HD5450 I was going to replace, W.E.I. score with HD-5450 was 4.6 (Areo) and 6.1 (Gaming).

W.E.I. (Windows Experience Rating) with this GT 620 card is 4.7 (Aero) and 6.4 (Gaming).

For more non gaming needs this is great, and better than alot or motherboard based video (it's great for HTPC with a silent setup)

Cons: Less than a week after I put it in, the fan got noisy! I had to use the PC during this seventh day and thought "That fan/heatsink has to go". I ordered a superb huge fanless Video heatsink I love, and dug out my spare but it won't fit! I have used the "CoolViva Z1" and have them on a bunch of cards, but no way would it line up in any fashion with this new GT620 chipset. Totally wrong holes, and the only way I could 'make' it work is to drill and tap 4 new holes and some would need to be right inthe copper heatsink material. No freakin way, not worth the trouble. This thing (and the 2 additional ones I bought) are going back... I got them for $25, but my guess is this little typical 'lousy' heatsink fan, so prevelant in low end 'slim' cards, is obviously a fast reving (sleeve bearing) low end tiny fan.

Other Thoughts: I bet I would have to FAR exceed the purchase price of this card to get a decent fanless setup. Now if I REALLY wanted this thing to work, and space was no issue, then I would do the following: I would tie wrap a decent 60mm or 80MM MUCH SLOWER fan to it and have that fan power run from either the MoBo, or cut the connector and have it powered from the Video board itself. This card is simply not worth it... Back it goes!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Money! Assume Rebate is a Scam

Pros: Inexpensive (especially if you catch a Shell Shocker)
Easy Install into Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04: drivers automagically available on line to both OS systems (although it took a couple trys to figure out which on driver option Ubuntu seemed happy with). If you're comfortable asking the OS to find and load a driver, you can install this card.
Big improvement over the native mother board video.

Cons: Advertised rebate reminds me of a similar rebate from several years ago...after unanswered emails and original documentation that pointed to websites that no longer existed, I gave up...and eventually I recieved a pre-paid credit card that merchants said had expired...yet I am foolish enough to try it again (this time requesting a check). Interestingly, the pdf attached to this NewEgg site shows a limit of one per customer, but the online form shows a limit of two. I bought three cards, so I'm applying for two.

Other Thoughts: Used to replace on board video in Windows 7 box and we can now stream online movies and TV shows (we aren't gamers, so I have no opinions on gaming support). Used to replace EVGA GeForce 8600 GT on Ubuntu box so I'd have direct HDMI output. I do not preceive any performance change on the Ubuntu box.

I have not done any speed measurements out of pure laziness...I am very happy with the cards' performance and don't want facts to cloud my perceptions!
