5 out of 5 eggsBetter than onboard!

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: -Installed in a system with an I3-4370 Intel HD 4600 Graphics (The HD 4600 would display the correct resolution in OS X but had a shuttering/flickering effect going on in any browser, so needed a dedicated graphics card.)
-Better than the onboard, but not by much.
-Confirmed works with OS X 10.9 out of the box on my hackintosh system, just make sure you switch primary graphics to PCI-E in the BIOS
-Installed in an ITX case with a built in 250W PSU and it still works. Although the system is running an SSD w/ no CD drive and the CPU will rarely ramp up to 100% usage

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: Great for the price. Once again, this is better than onboard graphics, but not by much. Don't expect to do much, if any, modern gaming.

Hackintosh system specs:
ASRock H97M-ITX/ac
Intel I3 - 4370
8GB G.Skill RAM
850 Evo SSD 250GB

2 out of 5 eggsBuy the replacement plan

Pros: Initially it worked great, and at a reasonable price

Cons: It started crashing my system after about 10 months.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: - Works well.
- Quiet fan.
- Doesn't run very hot.
- Runs under Ubuntu Linux and OS X without any issues.

Cons: - Isn't free.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this card for gaming, so I won't remark on how it's ill-suited for that purpose. (Serious gamers will do better with another card.) I bought this card because I needed something inexpensive that would run under OS X and Linux, and this does the job.

5 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Installed into an Acer Veriton 275, had zero problems installing it, other than it failed to the first time for whatever reason. Its got HDMI for HD TVs and DVI for good monitors. Don't expect to be playing any fancy looking games with this.

Cons: I can't play Crysis on full graphics with full AA 16xQA and full shader, texture, and shadow quality! But in my generosity I won't dock any eggs because I am not surprised by this.

Other Thoughts: It costs 40 bucks, it's nothing fancy, so buy only if you want something better than Integrated graphics? This thing can play older games no problem(before 2004), and probably some recent games if they have low end graphics. But I really got it to hook my computer up to my HD TV

4 out of 5 eggsAs Advertised

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Works as advertised, no issues.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Not a high quality card, but definitely good for low-medium graphics on newer games. Don't expect fireworks but it gets the job done.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for the price

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Bought this to replace the video card in my son's computer which was going out (Nvidia GeForce GT220). It has worked with every high-end game he has used it with.

Cons: None that I can find.

Other Thoughts: Have not tested for trans-coding videos, but feel it could do the job.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Inexpensive Card

This review is from: EVGA GeForce GT 610 DirectX 12 (feature level 11_0) 01G-P3-2615-KR 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Quiet, Cheap, and Easy to install

Cons: No EVGA sticker for the computer case, but that's not really a big deal

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card to use in my media server build, and it is doing its job perfectly. It will only be driving some movies and light applications. I would not recommend gaming or video editing on this card, due to it's lack of power. If you are in the market for a card that is one step up from on board graphics, then this is the way to go.
