The wait is over. EVGA presents us a powerful yet highly affordable graphics card - 02G-P4-2662-KR with the new mid-range GTX 660 GPU. GeForce GTX 660 GPU inherits the class-leading performance and power efficiency of Kepler GPU architecture without breaking your bank. Factory overclocked at 1046MHz which is 66 MHz more than the reference card, the EVGA 02G-P4-2662-KR offers more astonishing graphics performance. To make the big bigger, GPU boost offers a higher GPU clock whenever it is possible.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. FXAA is a new antialiasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, TXAA, is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsFast card with longevity

Pros: Fast for the price
Scales well in SLI
Runs cool for a reference design
ejects almost all heat out of case

Cons: Runs hotter than non-blower designs
Getting long in the tooth (not really it's fault, though)
Poor thermal paste application from factory

Other Thoughts: I originally bought one of these for my computer, then later upgraded to two in SLI, now I've moved on to a single 970.

I read one of the reviews on here saying this card can't do more than one monitor, claiming that it fried after plugging in a second one. I can say from personal experience, he must have a bad unit, because I did surround gaming on 3 monitors (at 6040x1080 with bezel correction) and it handled it like a champ.

Both cards are still chugging on fine, they recently did a stint in a friends build while he waited for a backordered 980.

The only thing I can say is that if your temps are lackluster, don't be afraid to take this beauty apart and apply your own. It does have a "Warranty Void if Removed" Sticker, but it doesn't cover any screws, and it's as easy as popping off 11 screws and disconnecting a fan cable to open it up. I did this and my temps dropped by about 6 degrees celcius.

Pros: was a good video card.

Cons: started smoking at idle and fried my motherboard and memory.

Other Thoughts: lasted a long time .just wish it would of been longer and not have destroyed my computer.

4 out of 5 eggsGetting my $$ worth -- Beware of TDR

Pros: So I've been using this card for about 3 years, as part of my first home-built PC. No complaints about the graphical capabilities-- I mostly play releases from ~2012 (Rift, GW2), MOBA's, and PS2 emulators. It handles those games quite gracefully. Newer games can be run at medium-high settings, which is fine with me.

Considering I built this PC with limited knowledge, I did run into many, many TDR errors in the beginning. Turns out the stock fan doesn't like to run fast enough (or at all?!?) without a custom profile, so I set that up in Precision X. Despite apparently overheating on numerous occasions (like, more than numerous,) it's still running strong to this day. +1 for durability and noob-forgiveness. :)

I've also found that my card doesn't like to hit above 75 degrees. I know it's "rated" for a much higher temperature, but that was pretty much the threshold past which it would stop responding. Maybe the factory overclock is slightly unstable, but I've found keeping it cool lets it run reliably.

Cons: great value (at the time), still running

5 out of 5 eggsSLI for the win

Pros: Great cards! Was able to play almost any modern game at high settings running in an SLI configuration. Kept a mild OC on them and churned out lots of gaming.

Cons: Fan's wouldn't power up past 70%. This is an EVGA thing. Was supposed to reduce power consumption since it only ran off a 6 pin connection. Not a huge deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: This was my first graphics card for my first build and I must say it was worth every pretty penny! This card has done amazing with the games I threw at it, I don't have any of the heavy load games but this card does the job without a hiccup! It stays at a chilly 35-40 C when idle and maxes at 75-80 C when playing any maxed games.

Cons: About a month in and I started getting coil whine in it, not serious but sounds like a very faint buzzing noise. Also I did my annual cleaning of my PC, and to anyone wanting to clean this card, it opens up by first separating the PCB from the heatsink (thus forcing you to replace the Thermal paste) and then you remove the casing from the heatsink, and reverse order to put it back together. I just wish I could take the shroud off first instead of taking it ALL apart.

Other Thoughts: Great card for a beggining gaming rig, I would wait for it to be on sale, nice clean look and design, Complicated to get the shroud off

5 out of 5 eggsGot this for SLI config.

Pros: Runs great, not loud like some would say, gets enough airflow in my case so never overheats, haven't had a problem with it since I installed it.

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this for anyone if your on a tight budget, I got this card around 140$ when it was on sale and rebate card, was a steal I had to take it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but watch out for RMA

Pros: I haven't owned many other graphics cards out there on the market so this is a review from limited experience. Just keep that in mind.

I really like that even though my extremely slow computer can hardly play FTB minecraft, games like skyrim and world of tanks run on the highest quality. You can even stream with the built in nvidia service. Really cool. My 5 year old mac can compete with this thing on CPU intensive games because it only has an AMD x2 chip. I am waiting for my 4690k to arrive so we shall see what performance leaps this thing does.

Cons: -1 star for an RMA
I returned the thing because the fan was off to the side and was making a loud noise. Now it runs like a charm and has no problems.

Other Thoughts: You start to understand how important just a good graphics card is when that is worth more than the rest of your computer :). Played games for almost a year now with this setup and I was almost content to continue. You just need the power to run it though.
