The EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST graphics card is designed for gaming. It comes with GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost which is an improved version of GTX 650 Ti equipped with a faster memory interface and GPU Boost technology. The GPU boost technology which is not included on the reference GTX 650 Ti GPU offers extra performance on tap. The faster 192-bit GDDR5 interface provides a much needed performance boost to the GPU.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from 3DVisionLive.com in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Stays cool, even under stress. It doesn't take a lot of power, and it's a quick card for how cheap it is. Haven't had any problems with it since I got it ~7 months ago. I recommend you buy this if you're looking for a cheap but effective buy.

Cons: I've been pushing the limits of it lately, so I need to upgrade soon. It's a shame, I love it. Needs more cores!

4 out of 5 eggsBig on Performance and Size

Pros: Fast, Price, Quality

Cons: Size

Other Thoughts: Great card for the money. There are some other cards that are only a few dollars more that have similar performance, but I like the quality and support of the eVGA cards.

It plays Bioshock Infinite on Ultra settings at 1920x1080, which is pretty impressive on my 2008 Dell Inspiron 530 Q6600. It brought the life back into gaming and I should be good for a few more years.

Rig:
Dell Inspiron 530 Q6600 2.4Ghz
8GB Corsair RAM
Intel 160GB SSD

The only down side with my setup is that it blocks two SATA ports on the Dell motherboard due to the card length. There are shorter alternative cards that should work fine, but I'll enjoy this card for a bit and then upgrade when I need the other ports.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Mid-Range SLi Setup

Pros: Installed two of these in SLi with an EVGA SLi bridge provides outstanding performance for the money. They run cool even at high load, easy to setup for SLi. They also look very good in my case, clean design and very quiet. Bundled software makes tweaking and monitoring a breeze.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: 60+ FPS in WoT , EVE Online , BF3, BF4 all at max settings 1680x1050 res. Can't beat the price for the performance you get. Upgraded from EVGA 550 Ti SC

CPU: FX-8350
Mobo: M5A99FX
Ram: 16gb (4gb x 4)

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: I am highly impressed by this card. the performance is very good, the fan stays pretty quiet until around 55% fan speed and I havnt had the temp go any higher then 55c! of course I am not running BM's or putting as much stress as i can on it.

Cons: This card is not high enough to utilize all of nvidias overclock software features but you can still OC it. so really the only con is that i think they should use some white LED back lighting for the EVGA logo on the side of the card :D

Other Thoughts: my opinion is coming from a slightly higher than moderate gamer perspective. i dont have the card in a super expensive pc, im not running the most high stress tests that i can. I am simply telling it from the point of view of someone who plays COD, BF4, MWO and Warframe. hope this helped and my ending thought is "very good card, you wont be disappointed"

4 out of 5 eggssweet

Pros: Runs just about everything at max settings

Easy to install

Nice looking card cover, ok to be seen

Cons: Horrible overclock ability, using EVGA Precision X is only a number boost, not an actual clock speed which is horrible to pinpoint what the clocks are actually set at.

Other Thoughts: This was an upgrade from my EVGA 550ti 2gb, the 650ti 2gb runs about the same but is much cooler temp and has updated hardware. Supposedly can be overclocked more than my old 550 but that remains to be seen.

The overclocking is why it lost an egg. I was really looking forward to the overclocking but disappointed on the difficulity with its native software. Might try 3rd party.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Card For The Money

Pros: Hey it's a EVGA GeForce card......I've "Never" have had a bad one, and I've had plenty. Works out of the box, as it should. I could write a 3 page review on this card and many others, but the bottom-line with graphic cards is, " Ya Get As Much As You Pay For". This works as well as any EVGA card I've ever brought, and I'd give them all "FOUR STARS" I was building a new system and this is the card I decided on, mostly because I had already gone over my original budget, (So Says My Wife) LOL.
Anyway...Look at all the cards, their specs, their price and go from there. In my opinion, EVGA makes some of the best cards out there.......Good Luck and Happy Building

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Know What You Want And What You Can Afford, ( or what your wife or girlfriend tells you ) Before You Buy IT

ps....If you're a female reading this, then switch it around...LOL

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for older Mac Pro workstations

Pros: Since several PC Nvidia graphics cards "just work" now in OSX since 10.8 / 10.9, this card makes a very cost effective upgrade for older Mac Pro workstations with aging video cards.

Specifically, I used this card in a 2008 Dual Quadcore Mac Pro.

One of the benefits, aside from a low cost to high performance ratio is that it only requires a single power cable, opposed to the 2 required for some of the higher up GPUs. The special power chords required to use these in a Mac Pro can be obtained elsewhere.
No drivers need to be downloaded to make this work in the latest versions of OSX, but you will need to download the CUDA drivers from the Nvidia website to take advantage of that feature.

Using Luxmark 2.1 as an OpenCL benchmarking tool, I saw a significant improvement in GPU score.
It is also just as quiet as the card it replaced.

Cons: (Cons mentioned here are only in relation to using it in a Mac Pro.)
A minor item of note, but you will not see the Mac bootup screen on this card. Display through this card on a Mac Pro kicks in at the login screen. I kept the original video card in the system with a secondary monitor attached, to see that process there. But even if I hadn't, I wouldn't really be bothered.

Also, some adobe configuration files will need to be edited to have the GPU utilized by such applications as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. This is not terribly difficult and the steps can be easily found online.

Other Thoughts: I was initially tempted to upgrade with a 660 or 670 series GPU, but the 650 won be over by being the "best bang for the buck" and with the fact that it didn't require two power cables. I can now keep the possibility open to add a 2nd video card of necessary, and have the 2nd onboard power port available to do so.
So far, I am very pleased with this upgrade and have not run into any real incompatibility issues using it in OSX.
