Kepler GPU Architecture

Kepler GPU Architecturebanner

NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.

NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0

NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0

This brand new technology allows gamers to push PC performance to the maximum with precise controls. GPU Boost 2.0 intelligently monitors work with even more advanced controls like GPU temperature target, overclocking, and overvoltage to ensure the GPU works at the ultimate performance.

NVIDIA PhysX Technology

NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync

NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync

Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors

Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA

Two New Anti-aliasing Modes: FXAA and TXAA

Anti-aliasing smoothes out “jaggies” (jagged edges) but can be demanding on framerates. Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing (FXAA) is a new anti-aliasing technology that produces beautiful smooth lines with minimal performance impact. And with Kepler based GPUs, you'll be able to enable FXAA in hundreds of game titles through the NVIDIA Control Panel. The second mode, Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TXAA), is an in-game option that combines Multisample Anti-Aliasing (MSAA), temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: No problems for me with Metro Last Light, Rome Total War 2, and BF3. All setting maxed. No complaints about the card so far. Installation was simple for my azza 2000 hurricane tower. I think I am set for BF4.

Cons: Pricey but no regrets here.

1 out of 5 eggsArtifacts, waiting RMA

Pros: It works

Cons: Artifacting
Unplayable in bf3
OTHER THOUGHTS

Other Thoughts: The very first defective item i received from newegg. Downloaded all drivers and updates for the card. Regular use was fine, including league of legends. But when playing more demanding games such as battlefield 3 and assassins creed 3 artifacts exploded in my screen after 10 mins useage. It wasnt just minor disfiguration or color errors, but half my screen would start artifacting to unplayable.

In the process of rma, DO NOTt listen to the manufacturer replies on this review, i will post another once this is solved because it seems they only respond to make buyers think they care.

5 out of 5 eggsEats games

Pros: As the title says, this card eats games. I have no complaints. The card is huge but I'm not sure I would label that a con. I can't speak for other 7xx series cards, but this card is whisper quiet, even at full load. My 570 would scream and sing songs in less demanding games like L4D(as an example)Some will tell you that 4GB is a waste if you're not going to play anything above 1080p. I play a few games that I mod heavily and that can be very taxing on a 1.2GB GTX 570. No one knows what the future holds, but I'm willing to bet in two or three years AAA games will be using 1.5GB-2.5GB. 4GB seems like a very safe bet.(even if you're just gaming at 1080p)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you want something that will go strong and max most games out @60FPS for the next two or three years, this card, the 780, and the Titan are probably your best bet.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: Everything, this video card does exactly what I wanted and more. I have high FPS @ max settings for all of my games. I was originally going to go for the GTX780, but after seeing what this can do, I'm glad I didn't spend more on something that would be overkill for me.

Cons: absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: I was originally going to go for the GTX780, but after seeing what this can do, I'm glad I didn't spend more on something that would be overkill for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: I recently started upgrading my Dell XPS 730X and I was afraid that a new video card would not work because Dell might of done something with the motherboard. I was also worried that the card would not fit into my machine. However after receiving this card it fit into my case without problem. I will tell you however that it is a BIG card and though it wasn't as long as my previous Nvidia GTX 285's it was definitely taller. Make sure you have a big enough case!

Gameplay:

I have played Crysis 2 and it preforms flawless. I do not know the exact FPS but I would say it was getting a solid 45-50 FPS on "Ultra" settings. I have tried other games like War Thunder and it runs that game at a constant 100 to almost 300 FPS, also on "Ultra" settings as well. I have tried many other games and the card handles them very smoothly and I also noticed that the fan is MUCH quieter on the 770 then on my 285's that I was using. It also runs much cooler.

The real test will be when Total War: Rome II comes out. I am curious to see how this single card will handle that game. I played Total War: SHOGUN 2 and the card handles it very well. You will notice some FPS drops when you are zoomed in with over 13,000 troops fighting on "Ultra" settings, however its not that bad. I believe Total War: Rome II is going to be a better optimized game and therefore will run smoother then Shogun 2 despite the games upgrades in graphics.

I bought one of these cards and I am very pleased with it. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsRuns everything!

Pros: Very strong card. WIthout SLI, it should pretty much run every game at near max until the new consoles come out.

Cons: Huge card.

Other Thoughts: Most gamers won't need the 4gb of VRAM, but the higher clockspeed helps justify the price.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Video Card!

Pros: Very Fast! The heat is exhusted from the back of the video cards. I have these babies running in tripple-sli configuration! Amazing power!

Cons: Big video card. Very thick. Make sure it fits in your case. There is a bit of headachs with certain games when it comes to 3-way sli. Some games just glitch out or don't want to run properly. I have all my sli profiles and drivers up to date. Doesn't help. 2 Works fine so I disable one sometimes.

Other Thoughts: Classified build is solid and amazing! Comes overclocked mine are 1250 / 1240 / 1230 with boost. This is a true overclockers dream video card!

5 out of 5 eggsLove the card specs

Pros: Very good card even if not at par with the 780/Titan, but it still holds it's own and this series is in the tock mode if I am not mistaken. One thing though the card is very long and thick. Nearly destroyed both my computers trying to get it in. I have a 680 as well and compared the sizes of both and the 680 is a dwarf compared to this card. I am ordering a new case that can accommodate this card or wait until Oct to get a new system.

Cons: None noted just make sure the card can fit in the case.
