Your gaming will not be the same with EVGA GeForce GTX780 graphics card.

Based on the latest evolution of NVIDIA GPU, the GeForce GTX 780, this card is a landmark in gaming performance - an insanely fast, smooth, and whisper-quiet experience. The massively powerful NVIDIA Kepler GPU features 2304 CUDA cores - 50% more than its predecessor. Complete with 3GB of high-speed GDDR5 memory and NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 technology, this card gives you the performance you need to game at extreme settings. This card also introduces brand new thermal solution – the EVGA ACX cooler – which delivers enhanced cooling capability at a reduced noise level, as well as a longer fan lifespan. Beyond performance and fans, the GeForce GTX 780 is perfectly tuned to today’s most advanced gaming technologies, with GeForce Experience for one-click driver and setting optimization, plus NVIDIA PhysX and TXAA for smooth, sharp graphics.

  • newegg EVGA ACX Cooler EVGA is introducing a brand-new cooling design, the EVGA ACX Cooler. This revolutionary double ball bearing design offers a 40% increase in heatsink volume, 15% average lower GPU and memory temperatures, and double ball bearing fans with an average lifespan of 12 years. This is a four times longer lifespan versus competitors' sleeve-bearing fans! Not to mention this fan is silent; in fact it is 15% quieter on average!
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 This brand-new technology allows gamers to push PC performance to the maximum with precise controls. GPU Boost 2.0 intelligently monitors work with advanced controls – like GPU temperature target, overclocking, and overvoltage – to ensure the GPU works at the ultimate performance.
  • newegg GeForce Experience The easiest way to optimize your games and keep your drivers up to date, the GeForce Experience application automatically notifies you of new driver releases from NVIDIA. With a single click, you’ll be able to update the driver directly, without leaving your desktop.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low framerates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with up to Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages your peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email, or the web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA Anti-Aliasing Anti-aliasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images, but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new anti-aliasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.

2 out of 5 eggsGeforce GTX 780 Review - Great Performance - Did Not Last Long

Pros: When I bought the card the benchmarks and actual performance was excellent. I will give it two eggs for that because it did run wonderfully.
Brief System Setup:

16 GB Ram
620 PSU
240 GB SSD
780 GTX

Most games that were optimized for 4K worked excellent. Once again performance was never an issue.

Cons: I purchased the card on July 20, 2014 and it is dead as a door nail today. Did not last even a year.
I used GPU-Z, Unigine Heaven benchmark, and then FurMark. The card began to flash last night and I did not even think it was an issue until this morning. The card causes a BSOD when I run any benchmark now. 500 dollars down the drain.

Other Thoughts: I have been a fan of Nvidia and EVGA for many years now. I have a GTX 580 that still runs flawless in my wife's system. I am very upset with the poor durability of this card. I do not believe I will purchasing another card from them in the future. Which is unfortunate because I really do like Nvidia/EVGA. I run MSI afterburner to watch my GPU stats while I play (dual-monitor system) and the card ran at a decent temperatures at load. I do not know why the card failed now instead of much earlier.

One a side note: Industry wide there is a problem with QC on the lowest to highest levels. Companies pump out to reach shareholder expectations as well as hit quotas. They forget about quality and maximize profits. I do not have a problem paying for a product, but I would like products that work. I have had 4 hard drives, 2 video cards, 1 television, and 3 mice completely die within 1-11 months of purchase over the past 16 months. This is dissapointing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Dace B.,

I can assure you that we do take our quality assurance and testing very seriously. Our 700 series of graphics cards performed very well and may different types of scenarios. All of our EVGA products carry a manufacture warranty and the EVGA GTX 780 graphics card carries a 3 year manufacture warranty for situations like these. If you have not already done so, then I would encourage you to contact our 24 hour Technical Support team by phone 1.888.881.3842 and pressing option 1 or by email:, so that we can further assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsMore Horsepower than I know what to do with

Pros: This thing doesn't care what you throw at it. It will just play it anyway. Only things that don't run @ 60fps are the games that have arbitrary framerate limits.

Cons: Huge and a bit power hungry. This thing draws up to 375 watts and is frankly pretty big.

Other Thoughts: Still getting caught up on all the other Assassin's Creed games I have gotten for free w/ EVGA products to get around to #4.

5 out of 5 eggsnot too shabby

Pros: Runs cool
Looks nice

Cons: I ordered this edition, with dual bios, but was sent the incorrect card. I won't return it because it OC's so well. Might just ask for a $10 refund.

Other Thoughts: This thing is ahhmazzzzing. Got rid of my already nice 7970 for this. Overclocked it +200 on core/mem and temp sit at 62-66 under load. Honestly I could probably get another 50 mhz on the core, but for longevity I'd live to leave it alone. Basically just a BEAST of an overclocker, well mine is anyway. So, sell you 7970 while the demand is high and get yourself one of these bad mfers.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 780 ACX

Pros: This card performs as advertised and was a good purchase during the Cyber Monday sale.

* Easy to install
* Runs quiet
* Able to play games at 60 FPS / MMOs at 35~40 FPS easy

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Make sure you plug in both connectors from the power supply to your graphics card or the card won't have enough power to boot up.

Also, If you want it shipped faster go with UPS as your shipping option as they are usually faster. This is if you are in a hurry for the product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: *Great software for free from EVGA (EVGA Precision.)
*Stays cool even after 12+ hours of continuous gameplay.
*Max out almost any game at base clocks and 1080p
*A lot of overclocking potential

Cons: -Price would be a con but since the price drop I would say it is a must buy.

*Huge card

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this card, a great upgrade from my 570.
