Get the weapon of choice - the EVGA GeForce GTX 660. It takes NVIDIA Kepler-powered graphics cards to new levels of affordability while retaining class-leading performance and power efficiency, making it a perfect upgrade for budget gamers. It delivers the ultimate combination of performance, power efficiency, and affordability. In addition, the excellent ACX cooler speeds up heat dissipation for your video card.

  • newegg Excellent ACX Cooler The EVGA ACX is more efficient at dissipating heat. It dramatically lowers temperature at a low noise level, ensuring stable graphics performance.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but also for optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation, and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world-class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant, power-efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing; at low framerates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages your peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email, or the web while you are gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI TECHNOLOGY Used by the most demanding gamers worldwide, SLI lets you link up to three GeForce GTX 660 units together for astounding performance. And with NVIDIA’s track record for fast and frequent software updates, you’ll not only get the best performance in existing games, but also in future games.

2 out of 5 eggsGood for a while but..

Pros: It can run a lot of games on pretty high settings which is nice.

Cons: I've had this graphics card for around 4 months now and it had been doing pretty well up in till it started to have weird little hiccups. I would be in the middle of browsing the web (not even playing an graphic intensive game) and the graphics card would fail and make both of my monitors black out for a beat and then come back on. sometimes it would do it again after 10 mins and flip the monitor settings. Its such a shame too I was looking forward to trying to play GTA V on with this card but Im too worried to try and play anything that big with the card blacking out as often as it does now.

Other Thoughts: This would have been a very good card if it wasnt for the black out hiccups.

5 out of 5 eggsNot the newest, but still very fast.

Pros: Can run GTA V on near all high/very high settings, as long as you pair it with a decent CPU.

Overall, not the BEST, but definitely not a bad graphics card.

Cons: NA

5 out of 5 eggsWhat's Not To Love?

Pros: Powerful, efficient, cost effective; this card has all the qualifications of being endearing at a business luncheon. Just like a business luncheon, this card will also be able to play most games under ultra settings and everything else at a strong high. Coming from a GTS250, this was like opening my menu and being told I could order anything I wanted at the meeting.

Cons: The waiter informed me that there was no more peach cobbler and I had the choice of blueberry or strawberry. Seriously, peach cobbler is 5/5 eggs any day!

Other Thoughts: The size is not an issue for most board setups, but I imagine narrow cases could be problematic.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: I bought this card to play new video games. I don't have a "real" gaming computer, just a mid case atx case with a decent cpu. I needed it to play "Dragon Age Inquisition", amongst other things. I really like the software that comes with it: Precision X 16. It allows me to set up wether I want the fans to be agressive or quiet. I generally put it on agressive when I play and it helps the temperature to stay somewhat normal.

Cons: Not really a cons but the card is very big. Make sure it fit in your computer before buying it. As I said in the `"pros", the card can be put in 2 modes and the aggressive mode is a bit loud but I don't mind.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this card to anyone with enough space in his computer and to anyone willing to get a decent GPU to play games with mid/high resolutions. What I would recommend also is to get the drivers from NVIDIA instead of those that are on the CD.

This card needs extra power, (PCI-E) and recommend a minimum of 450W PSU so make sure you have this too.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded from 285 GTX

Pros: slightly faster than my old card. bought it while was $160. such a bang for the bucks. My rig is 6 years old and the chase is bent with most fans noisy as hell so I can't tell about coil whine. by the other hand I couldn't take advantage of the PCIx3 due to my old EVGA 790i Ultra motherboard. despite all the above, runs cool "Ryse Son of Rome" (1080p low setting) at ~63 degrees.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I have been using Nvidia for more than 10 years. \m/

3 out of 5 eggsGreat... while it lasted

Pros: For the three hours I was able to use it it ran great i was able to switch modded Minecraft to max settings and still get a minimum of four times better fps the my last gpu

Cons: I turned it off and walked away for a while... then when i returned and turned it on their wasn't any video input to my monitor... so i switched to the on board graphics and got my standard screen... so i checked that all connections where tight... they where... then i checked all cables... everything was fine... so i took it to some experts to see if they could find any problem with it... they couldn't... so now i'm trying to get an rma but it was a Christmas gift and was bought a bit before Christmas... so now i'm barely outside of the 30 day return policy and trying to find out what to do

5 out of 5 eggsMy second one

Pros: Cheap, when on sale ($169)
Pretty good price/performance ratio
EVGA
Two of these bad boys in SLI keeps my frames butter smooth in most games with the settings cranked, despite being older cards.

Cons: I had to pay for them

Other Thoughts: The SLI bridge that came with my motherboard (Asus M5A99 EVO R2.0) pushed on the cooler's heatsink a little, but fit okay after that.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I needed

Pros: Card works well, no noticeable change in noise, considerable difference in fps even after bumping all settings to highest available.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I got a good deal on this during the after thanksgiving sale along with a new 27" 1080p monitor. My GTX460 was showing it's age when playing the newest Tomb Raider (tesselation killed it). After reading many reviews and not being indecisive about the 660/760/960, I pulled the trigger on this. Like I said in the pro's, I am now playing at max settings (Tomb Raider is the most intense game I play currently) and getting over 60 fps. It was easy to install, runs quiet/cool, and does what I need. It should last many years based on my needs graphics power.
