3 out of 5 eggsDefective DVI connector

Pros: Good feature set for price

Cons: The DVI connector produces a defective 1280x1024 signal for my LCD panel. I must use this connector in conjunction with an analog converter (not included) to get 1280x1024. 1024x768 was okay from DVI, though. The analog connector seems to be fine.

Other Thoughts: This is my second post on this product; both my original and replacement card had faulty DVI output at 1280x1024.

3 out of 5 eggsProblem with the DVI connector

Pros: It's a very inexpensive card, and its feature set is quite nice for the price

Cons: The one I received had problems with DVI output (whether one or two monitors were connected). The image looked fine at 1024x768, but 1280x1024 yielded jumpiness or green speckles.

Other Thoughts: I'm getting a replacement part and will try to update this post.

5 out of 5 eggsLow Profile Brackets

Pros: A good card that fits low pofile cases. I'm installing it in the Apex DM-318 microATX small desktop case.

Cons: The card does not include a low profile bracket. However, you can buy a low profile bracket from the PowerColor website for $12, including shipping. At the website (, click on support and then click on the store. The site also sells cables. You can connect to the site using the link on the left lower portion of this page.

Other Thoughts: None for now.
