5 out of 5 eggsToo bad it's discontinued

Pros: Low price for a PCIX video card. Larger amount of RAM on this card for the price.

Cons: For this generation of cards the fan/heatsink on the card is a bit tall. Outdated drivers on the included CD.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded mobo and with the new mobo came a PCIX slot. Dropped this card in and installed newest Catalyst drivers. The difference between this card and the AGP Radeon 9800 was almost like night and day. Runs most games of its time without breaking a sweat, and the card does stay nice and cool with that big fan/heatsink. Did I mention the low price?

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate to 12/30

Pros: It worked great for a few hours and...

Cons: ... It stopped working great. Re starts and odd things on the screen started to freak me out so i pulled it. I made sure to check everything out, bad card. RMA'd it with a hope and a prayer.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best! I will give this card another go. If it keeps working like it did for the few hours it ran, sweet... way worth the few bucks for shipping the RMA. Is the Powercolor website down again???

3 out of 5 eggsHD 2600 XT

Pros: Bought two of these, Awesome look in my case. Fan is not LED which is nice for my it's in my Green computer, which is all green lights. Doesn't take up do back plates like most. Allows spots for fan/light switches that are mounted on back plate brackets.

Cons: Takes up two spots due to the heat sink being so huge. Doesn't come with CrossFire Connection Bridge. Had to remove my TV Tuner for video card over took it's spot.

Other Thoughts: Could come with CrossFire Connection Bridge, could have came with smaller heat sink... Want my TV Tuner back...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Grafix

Pros: I would say this is a great card for the money, that would be unfair to this card. It is much better than a "good low cost card". Fast, cool, great looking... to bad it's discontinued here at the Egg.

Cons: Not one!

Other Thoughts: Bring it back guys, please!

4 out of 5 eggsPlug, intall, and play

Pros: Plug, intall, and play.

Cons: Zero support information on website. No printed manual.

Other Thoughts: I used the included CD for the drivers and they worked. Their website did not have a manual or drivers for download.

5 out of 5 eggsNice for the Price

Pros: So far, the HD2600XT has improved my Vista experience on my old HP Pavilion A630N, replacing my ATI X700 video card which became problematic after installing Vista, and runs Aero interface flawlessly. Quiet Card, runs all the games (mostly older titles) that I'm interested in and World of Warcraft. As noted before, you will lose a PCI slot due to the size of the fan on the PCIe, but I gained another by removing the modem that was taking up space.

Cons: None that I can think of other than go to the ATI website and download the latest drivers.

Other Thoughts: Bought more RAM (Crucial Brand) from New Egg as well and Vista Service Pack 1 is seeing all 4GB! Add that HD2600XT and I may not have to downgrade back to XP after all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: It does great with HD video and the "Vista Experience". Going from a 7100GS 128mb, this is a noticeable improvement. Vista Ratings went to 5.6 and 5.9, and benchmarks showed about a 8x improvement in video. Very cheap. I got this for $24.99 AR. I'd recommend this card to people using their PC for video and general use. Low temps.

Cons: It's a great card for people who don't game. It will run older games, but it's not for everyone. A Geforce 8600GT/S is better if you can find one cheap. The fan is connected by 2-pin, so you can't adjust the fan speed at all. The drivers on the disc are outdated, and the ATI website loaded bloatware like WOW trials on my computer. Just let vista update search and load the latest drivers. It took a week to get here which seems pretty long for UPS.

Other Thoughts: My internal USB cable stopped the fan from turning for the first week, and the temps still never reached over 50C. Good deal for $25, but $45+ is pushing it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: Great card for the price, blew my nvidia 8500gt away. Been stable running WoW, Supreme Commander, Mass Effect, on full settings. Rarely goes over 45 C even after 8 hours of gameplay. Catalyst software does a pretty good job. Great deal.

Cons: The card is solid, cheap and poweful. Large fan, have maybe a few mm between it and my soundcard, hoping it doesn't fry it. The problem is waiting for a rebate.

Other Thoughts: Really wish they would update the specs a little. does need a 400 watt power supply. I bought it as a gift for a buddy, but his psu is about 350. Looks like hes getting my old hardware and i get an upgrade :)
