Surprised
- Pros: I was pretty surprised how much this card was able to handle and little a difference I could see between my 4870 and 4650, but then again I was playing older games such as Age of Empires III and FEAR.
- Cons: Nothing I can see of
Great HD, really loud fan
- Pros: Smooth 1080p and h264 playback. Works great for HTPC.
- Cons: The stock fan is really loud, and at a higher pitch than most. In a SFF Dell GX620, it was unbearable.
- Other Thoughts: Consider alternative cooling options. The fan power disconnects easily. If you have the room, mount a cooler fan.
Decent for HTPC usage
- Pros: Slim, quiet. For those that say it's loud, yes you can hear the fan at full speed but it's not THAT loud. In a case 6 feet away and you're on the couch you don't hear it.
- Cons: I don't game but from what I read this isn't a card to do gaming with. Plus I don't know what happened with mine but at one point the video cut out, I opened the case to check the card to readjust it, and it burned my finger pretty good. The fan stopped working and the card smelled. I let it sit for a few and it's been fine every since. If it wasn't for that I'd give it 5 eggs. For now I'm just keeping a watchful eye on it since I have 30 days to return it.
