2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: couldn't use it long enough to have a positive comment

Cons: Slow SLOW screen re-fill and then caused screen to black out and locked up PC. Finally RMA'd it to newegg, but had same problem with replacement. Gave up and set it aside.

Other Thoughts: Just occured to me today that I'd never recieved the rebate so went to the "JV Logic Power-Color Club" site to check on it and found my rebate was refused because I "...provided a wrong promotion # (not your rebate number) on your Mail-in-Rebate form. (*the correct promotion# is like this: 120107-NX1950PRO512MBDDR2 as indicated on the mail-in-rebate form )". Perhaps not Neweggs fault, but I am meticulous about filling in rebate info, and don't belive for a second that I made a silly mistake!

5 out of 5 eggsnice and cheap good card

Pros: This card has the s video tv out put which is good (if you have a 7 pin s video cable). The dvi-i is nice to have to send video to a hdtv, and still have d-sub for older monitors. I've had no problems with this card. A little adjustment needs to be done to get it to work correctly with a hdtv, but works.

Cons: Doesn't come with a 7 pin s video cable to hook anything up to it.

Other Thoughts: running on a K8MM MSI board with a athlon 64 3300+ processor, 37" Philips HDTV and KDS 15" vga monitor, 1 gig ram, creative soundblaster live soundcard.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat for xp, not so in vista

Pros: The card works great, especially for a budget agp card.

Cons: The S-video port is a little loose, but still works. The card is great with Aero, but there are problems when using Aero on MS's WDM driver. I updated to the latest Catalyst driver, which the secondary monitor worked great, but Aero wouldn't initiate.

Other Thoughts: Worth it if you're not a gamer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card...BUT...

Pros: I have this card in the cpu that I'm using now, with NO complaints. Plays all my intense games with ease.. BUT...please read cons.

Cons: This card is NOT compatible with the MB BIOSTAR AM2VCOMB34S W/ 3400+ R, item number 13-138-100 I've tried 2 cards, with the same result... BAD... Followed the instructions word for word, and even got help from some very nice ppl on eggxpert.com, all with no positive results.. Had to return the second card for a refund..

Other Thoughts: Great card, just didn't work for the Biostar...Using it now in an ABIT motherboard..

5 out of 5 eggsStill a classic

Pros: Needed this for an older P4 2.66 so the wife could play some games. Card is flawless, handles all the games, plus has S-Video out for watching movies, and playing some console games on the TV.

Cons: Default driver provided on the CD does not have the proper support for S-Video (PAL?). But after downloading the latest Catalyst drivers, S-Video works great.

Other Thoughts: You can't beat this card for it's features and price. It may be an older model card, but it still holds it's own.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works well in my older Dell Dimension 8250 with AGP 4X using XP Home SP2. Works perfectly fine using the DVI output to an Acer 19" non-widescreen LCD. Great shipping speed as always.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: A slight downgrade from the original Radeon 9700 Pro that died but it will still play the older games I used to play on it. I have newer gaming PCs for high end gaming. This card will keep this older PC going for awhile. Mine works fine with ATI 7.11 driver only (non-CCC). If you have driver trouble with AGP cards, try 7.8 or earlier versions.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Good mid-range 8x AGP card, 256mb memory, inexpensive.

Cons: None (so far).

Other Thoughts: Plays BF2 fine at medium settings (haven't tried max settings) Bought this after reading reviews and I am happy with my purchase. With latest drivers and 19" LCD it pops up a clean image through the DVI cable. It is what it is. I'm happy with it so far.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat drivers problems

Pros: Great graphics, very nice settings, nice memory. This is a very powerfull card a have used it with some games specially world of warcraft and gave great results

Cons: Great problems with drivers, it seems like ati can control his own hardware, new drivers have fixed a little some problems but not all, problems include crash in the middle of game, i think it also has some heat problems, that his plastic fan cant control.

Other Thoughts: Please there are some other cards, im looking for a new righ now. This product was not a good purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good card, upgraded from a card roughly half as powerful. Using a 1.8 ghz Celeron from 2002, I mainly play RTS games like DoW Dark Crusade and can play them on full settings. I am also able to play GTA San Andreas on full settings, which is nice. I get good performance from Battlefield 2 on low. On the desktop, I can get nice, crisp 1280 x 1024 resolution with no problems. Definitely extended the life of my old war machine here.

Cons: It's only a small issue, but the card needs to be connected to the power supply, and wires/Molex connector didn't reach. Had to use an extender from another box.

Other Thoughts: Surprisingly fast shipping, ordered during the day and got it the next day.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card

Pros: This card is a big improvement over any on-board graphics. It can support all the games I want to play, including BF2142.

Cons: AGP is being phased out.

Other Thoughts: For the cheap price, you really can't beat this deal if you are trying to squeeze a little life out of an old machine.
