Pros: Well built and uses quality WC parts. Love the backplate and it all looks sharp.
PSU connections aimed out the side.
Eats up every game and bench I've thrown at it max settings Dirt 2, BFBC2, GRID, HAWX, Heaven 2.0, Sanctuary, Tropics and more.
Hasn't gone over 41C core load without OC. Excellent working down clocking for power savings. Light use clock 157x300, TV/BD 400x900, 3D/gaming 875x1250. As good or even better graphic power than my 4870x2 and no Xfire headaches.
HDMI passes sound perfectly, my Denon 3808 shows me what (how many) channels are coming in and it always show the proper sound for the app.
Very solid card and it's doing everything I wanted it to do with no fuss.

Cons: As of this date Powercolor only has 10.1 Cats as their drivers (seems time to have 10.2s out by now), but when manufacturers do their own driver mods, it is normal for delays.
No problem for me since I am not ready for Eyefinity and the bezel adjustment that the 10.3s offer, so I'll stick with what Powercolor does until and if I have to do otherwise.

Other Thoughts: Using MSI Afterburner, it seems I can't go higher than 990MHz max core at 1.35V.
VDDCs stay incredibly cool compared to what I'm used to with a 4870x2 and it's great to see a VDDC current of 1.2A while I'm typing this.

I don't see a need to OC yet, but even a 950 core does give about a 5% avg. boost in Dirt 2 and really does well upping the min. by 10-18%. It does even better in my test runs on BFBC2. 950 OC did raise temps to 45C on load during Dirt 2 testing, typical 78F ambients.

I have a single loop i7 920 GTZ block (running a simple 3.6GHz OC & HT off for this testing) in tandem with LCS 5870, Bloodrage NB block, two MCP655 varios each on #2 setting, two Swiftech 220s, 1 Swiftech 120 and I'm moving apx 2GPM.
Even though OC isn't needed, it's good to know I have more under the hood if/when it is.

Pros: Endless...

Cons: None...

Other Thoughts: If you own one of these cards consider getting it a friend for crossfire so you can put the 5970 to shame.

Pros: hooked it up with a 4.5gpm pump and a 4x120mm radiator and fan setup. Able to overclock it with increased voltages up to 1050mhz on the core. Memory wasn't able to really overclock at all. Temperatures never exceed my nominal fluid temperature which is also heated by an i7 930 overclocked to 4.4ghz. Max temperatures reached about 70 celsius, which was the same as my cpu.

Cons: Using a gpu with a waterblock makes the double din size bracket in the back seem a bit pointless. Would be nice if they could fit all the ports on a single din slot and make that slot available.

Other Thoughts: Purchasing a package of two as a combo deal would be good for my situation.

Pros: Very fast card.

Cons: supply, wish I could have ordered a couple more of these to be able t watercool them

Other Thoughts: have 3 5870s in CrossfireX using 2 non watercooled cards.

Pros: Runs 23C at idle and have seen it reach 40C at load even under Crysis w/ 4xAA. Comes w/ a back plate which is an improvement over previous generations of the LCS offered by Powercolor. Overclocks easily.

Cons: Non yet.

Other Thoughts: Costs a more than the other 5870's but when you include the cost of a $100 aftermarket wc block, still having a warranty and ready go in the WC loop, it's a net gain for the consumer in my estimation.

Pros: Very solid card! The block is nickel plated and very sexy, and keeps my card at 23C idle. I have also overclocked to 1050mhz on the core with a max temp of ~35C using a swiftech 360 radiator. I have been very impressed with this card so far!

Cons: A bit expensive... The block alone is about $100 and then i guess you have a warranty that includes your waterblock. It just seems a bit excessive when you think of the price that powercolor gets the blocks at..

Other Thoughts: Overall awesome card using msi afterburner and stock bios you can clock this thing like crazy! I could probably get to 1100 mhz if i really wanted but that would be pushing the volts, but on the other hand the temp should be fine :)

Pros: The card also includes a pre-mounted black metal back plate in addition to the black water block. Runs 45c under load. Drivers work well, I have not encountered the problems that some are having. EK water block already installed, so I don't have to deal with the hassle of installing one. Comparative in price to other manufacturer's 5870's with only stock cooling. Great deal!

Cons: Due to the layout of the display ports, it takes up two slots - not enough to take away an egg though, as all 5870's do so.

Other Thoughts: So far, the card exceeds my expectations! Came with a coupon for Dirt 2.

Overclock stops at 990MHz (flashing other BIOS unlocks limit)

Other Thoughts: This is an awesome card. It runs so cool that it never gets over 46C under full load. It made 50C when I overclocked it to 975MHz on stock voltages.

This card costs a little more, but if you go watercooling then this is worth the extra money to not have to mess with installing a waterblock yourself and breaking something, or installing it improperly.

Pros: This was my first watercooled build and I had no problems at all with the Powercolor 5870. The waterblock is great, no leaks from it, and it is slim and quiet. I dont get any of the issues other reviewers have talked about (graphical glitches), mine works wonderful :)

Cons: None I can really think of. This was my first complete computer build. I bought the Powercolor 5870 and didnt realize I had to buy a water cooling system to make it work. That was me being a noob, not the cards fault. After I purchased a water cooling kit and installed it I had no problems at all.

Other Thoughts: I look forward to adding a second card in the future.

Pros: The EK Waterblock is eggselent, keeps the cards nice and cool. Fast tri sli while they lasted

Cons: Funky connectors require spacers with O rings ?? Cards died one by one until I couldn't get any to boot. To say the ATI Drivers are primitive is the understatement of the year

Other Thoughts: Returned them to Newegg for a refund - they were refundable back then.
