5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: The card works exceptionally well in games I play, such as Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, and the STALKER games. My rebate came as promised, and the RMA service was painless and quick.

It runs cool, quiet, and provides plenty of power.

Cons: I had an issue with the card failing after about 3 months, however I got a replacement very quickly afterward.

Other Thoughts: Great service, great product, great value, I highly recommend this card to anyone on a budget.

2 out of 5 eggsGood card but bad service

Pros: Pretty Good graphics performance when it works.

Cons: Powercolor didn't honor their rebate for me. They said the postage mark was too late, but I sent it in on time. They also didn't respond to my emails asking for support. I eventually figured out the solution after many hours of frustration.

Other Thoughts: If you are a computer expert and never have any problems and you get a good card and don't like getting your rebates, then this is the card for you. I also will choose a different brand next time, it's not worth saving the $30 over the better name brands when you have to pay for it with your time.

Manufacturer Response:

Not sure who you were contacting, but we have technical support available Monday-Friday from 9-5:30pm PST. You can call or e-mail us ( and you will always get a reply. I apologize for the inconvenience, but be sure to note that you CAN contact us and we will help you. I can't comment on behalf of our rebate department, but if it was submitted too late or beyond a certain point then it obviously can't be honored. There's terms and policies just like with everything else, but I do apologize about the rebate. If you have any other questions feel free to e-mail me at, thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Performance for price! Idles at 30-35C. The max I've seen it go is 62C while I was playing COD:MW2 for 2-3 Hours on high settings, with everything enabled at 1280x1024. Easy to install, not too big.

Cons: None so far, except maybe it doesn't look as cool as other brands c.c

Other Thoughts: Was going to get the 5750, but I was convinced by so many to spend a little more for the 770, and I am not disappointed. My copy came with a COD:MW2 coupon instead of dirt 2! I can play it with no lag on extra settings at 1024x768, at 1280x1024 there is slight lag during high action. This is with AA enabled.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent card, CrossfireX is a feature i use and like on this model. 4 way CF had very nice results on my i7. ATI or AMD as they are now preferred namewise, is updating drivers and correcting issues with drivers a lot faster. They are more comparable to Nvidia now in that regards.

3d mark Vantage: 4 way CF with i7 got me GPU 33.5k score on performance bench. On AMD 1090t i got about 27k gpu.

Cons: Cards are slightly larger than 2 slots, the screws on the heatsink stick to far out the back of the card. I bought 4 of these to CrossfireX and they dont fit properly between slots.

They dont overclock well at all for me either.
Missed physx since i was previously on GTX 295 w 260 physx.

Other Thoughts: Running 4 of these is a bit to much work since they don't fit right. However, 3 way is the best performance for price. After 3 the 4th card doesn't do much.

Note: if your using an AMD x6 or x4 i found in testing the 4th card had zero effect. This is due to the CPU bottle-necking. AMD 1090t@4.2 couldn't even get anything out of the 4th card in games. I get a very mild increase from 3 to 4 on my i7 @ 4.4ghz.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card

Pros: Card runs most games as well as 3d graphic applications amazingly. The price point is ridiculous. It's also much smaller than my previous 2-slot sized Nvidia card.

Cons: Had to buy a passive adapter for a third display, but since I use 2 CRT's with an LCD it was cheap and simple.

4 out of 5 eggsUm, Powercolor? Get antivirus plox,.

Pros: good build, great price and performance. Will get it for $115 if a rebate shows up...about that rebate...on to cons

Cons: be careful with the email they send you with the rebate code that you have to fill on the form to get the rebate. Avast detected a trojan in the email, as did Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. This is a tad unsettling.

Other Thoughts: Seriously guys...i wont go as far as to say this was intentional, so go out there and get some security software to check the emails you send out.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Plays games at 1920x1080 very well on high settings - 2 of these in crossfire benches very close to HD 5870, GTX 470. Stock overclocked, so these push a little more power right out of the box. These overclock great.

Cons: Occasional tearing during cutscenes of some games when all eyecandy is enabled in 1920x1080; hopefully a 2nd card in crossfire will fix that.

Other Thoughts: I have owned this card since the price was around $150, and now that the price has come down, this is quite a deal. Crossfire with these usually beats 5850, 6870; comes close to 5870 and GTX 470.

It seems Nvidia solved many of the problems with the GTX 480; its called GTX 580. Too bad for them HD 6900 series is due in another month.
