4 out of 5 eggsCan't run 3 monitors

Pros: Very fast and a good gaming card on a budget, lots of ability to overclock simply with the ATI control panel. Scores a 7.3 in the windows experience index.

Cons: NOT compatible with using 3 monitors at once. This was the main reason I purchased the card over cheaper models, and was kind of disappointed that I didn't read the fine print. In order to use a third monitor, you need to have a display port on the card, which this model doesn't have.

Other Thoughts: Would have liked the product description somewhere to say you can't use 3 monitors, because my understanding was that all of the 5000 series could do that, and it wasn't dependent on what outputs you had. My fault I guess for not doing more detailed research, so only minus 1 egg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card for the price, plays just about everything highest settings at 1920x1080 on a 24" Widescreen. Play everything from WoW, CoD:MW 2, Just Cause, Starcraft 2, Red Faction, etc etc all on highest. The fan is quiet (that or my other huge fans blocks it out), never had a problem. I highly recommend it to anyone, I'm soon to sell mine to upgrade to the 5830 though.

Cons: To be honest, I can't think of any, I've never had any problems with this card. Never over-heated on me, never had a driver problem, easy over-clocked still no problem, just a great and sturdy graphics card.

Other Thoughts: 3.2GHz Quad Core Processor
4Gb DDR3 Ram
500gb Hard Drive
ATI Radeon HD 5700

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The Radeon HD 5750 isn't a powerhouse of a card, but this PowerColor version is both cheap and comes with an extremely capable cooling design that is whisper-quiet, literally. Runs stably, and offers very good performance for the money you pay.

Cons: None to speak of, except perhaps that it's a bit large for an HTPC if you're into that sort of thing.

Other Thoughts: Would heartily recommend this one to any gamer on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet little card

Pros: Responsive, quick graphics, no noticeable frame rate spikes, clear 2D and 3D imagery. Great pick for the price point.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Was using the 4670 as my staple budget card, this one might replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsPowercolor Radeon 5750

Pros: Pretty good value, I think this was the cheapest 5750 at the time that I purchased it. It's pretty crazy that for a little over 100 bucks you can get a card that you let you play most games at 1920x1200 with mid level detail settings.

Card is fairly slim (maybe 1.5 standard card thickness) and short enough that it will fit in all but the smallest cases. The large fan, despite it's primitive 2 wire design, is very quiet.

Cons: Fan cable could be shorter, there is a couple inches of slack that just get in the way. A DisplayPort connection would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price, but make sure you download or print the rebate as soon as you buy your card. If you wait a few days, it may be replaced by a similar, but different rebate that you don't qualify for.

1 out of 5 eggsFollow-up to "Terrible Service"

Pros: This is a follow-up and response to the review I posted in February. Please see the pros for that review, nothing has changed.

Cons: I finally received my replacement video card a little over a month ago. Unfortunately the replacement is faulty as well. Very well could be the same card I shipped in with a replacement heatsink. Off to RMA the card again. I hope I don't have to wait another 3-4 months to receive a replacement again. And this time I hope it actually works properly.

Other Thoughts: In response to Hugo, the CS representative who responded to my original review:

Hugo, you were the representative I was in contact with during the original RMA process. Though you were polite, nothing seemed to really get done until I pressed the issue and here I am with a bad card yet again. I would appreciate it if you could make sure that this current RMA is swift and what is returned to me is a tested, working card.

Manufacturer Response:

I can assure you that all RMAs get replaced regardless of whether the card passed or failed the testing phase. If the replacement is failing the same way the original was then that's a fair indication that we might have something else on our hands. Especially since the replacements get tested before they leave our facility. Either way, I can help you get this taken care of. We've made changes internally to our RMA system recently so turnaround time is down to within 2 weeks (sometimes less than that). Feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll be sure to stay on top of this for you. Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Very quiet operation and a much smaller card than my old Diamond HD3850. Also a great deal faster. I have the card overclocked with the ATI Overdrive utility to 825 Mhz on the core and 1325 Mhz for the memory. Higher settings have failed to pass with this utility. Though I suspect it could go higher with an increase in voltage, I'm not going to push it. The frame rate increase in games over the HD3850 (overclocked) has been very noticeable and pleasing. I'm happy with it, especially for the price.

Cons: None yet, though I haven't had the card long enough to say for sure. The new 10.3 Catalyst driver failed installation twice, but installed on the 3rd attempt with no problems running Windows XP-64.

Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget, this is a great card to buy in my opinion. I've played several DVD movies with it after installing the latest (10.3) Catalyst driver and have experienced none of the problems that have been reported for the ATI 5000 series chips.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for my Buck

Pros: Quiet, even overclocked I can't tell if my PC is on. Fast, runs everything at 1920x1080 for me. LOW POWER consumption, I run it with a 400w PSU. Overclocks like a champ, I have mine at 850 core/ 1300 memory up from 700 core / 1150 memory. Can't wait to SLI them and have the performance of a 5870 or so. Simple, eco friendly packaging with no excess plastics or cardboards.

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: Doesn't come with a PCI-E power adapter in case your PSU doesn't have one built in. And as a budget card I'm sure people without expensive PSU's will be buying this. At this price I can't complain though. Maybe it was the adapter I used but I had to realllly push hard to get the pci-plug in, maybe it's just all brand new connectors!!!

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Service

Pros: Well the card is quiet, I'll give them that.

Cons: Where to start. The card started failing on the first day I installed it. I was getting lock-ups at least once a day for a week, tested it in another system and had the same problem. I RMA'd the card back in late November of 2009. To this date I have not received a video card in return. I have been in touch with CS at Powercolor and was told the card was received and was being tested. Then on 1/15/10 I was told that the card would be shipping out the next day if it wasn't already. Well, it's 2/9/2010 and still nothing. I tried contacting one of CS representatives a little over a week ago and haven't heard anything back since.

Other Thoughts: Customer service with Powercolor is a joke. I've never once had an RMA take this long. I certainly won't be purchasing anything from them again.

Manufacturer Response:

This is definitely not right, and not the way we conduct our business. Feel free to contact me directly and I'll be sure this gets taken care of as soon as possible. Something must have happened but we'll be sure to make right of this situation. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com. Thank you.
