1 out of 5 eggsquit working

Pros: Cheap -- at least if the rebate comes. Reading the reviews, who knows at this point.

Cons: After getting it in the computer I wanted, it worked, so I sent off for the rebate. Then I moved the computer into a new room, and suddenly I had no connection to the monitor. Odd, I thought. Try a different monitor -- still black. Try the VGA connector rather than DVI -- well, there's something, but the screen is covered in dots, and Windows blue screens complaining of some avi.....dll error. Onboard video works fine. I have neither the time or patience to try it in another computer, nor do I want to spend endless time trying to obtain warranty service from this company or newegg. Get what you pay for, I suppose; though the MSI card I got for about the same price has been just fine.

Other Thoughts: It's frustrating. IT is not my full time employment, but I like tinkering w/ computers. To have things just fail like this, apparently out of the blue, ends up wasting not only my money but my time, and I only have ~30,000 days to live on this planet, you know?

1 out of 5 eggsPowercolor doesnt honor rebates

Pros: Got the product as described by Newegg. Manufacturer does not honor rebate.

Cons: I ordered this with a rebate just to get a cheap card for my daughters computer. received no communication from Powercolor on there end until I contacted them wondering where my rebate was. After a few emails I was informed they denied my rebate request because I had the check mailed to my workplace. As I informed Powercolor I have all my mail sent to my work address because mailboxes get broken into in my neighborhood. Again no communication on there end until I initiated it. They have my email address and personal phone number. They could have used it to contact me. Now I have to find out if newegg will take it back since Powercolor will not honor there rebates. I would appreciate it if newegg would reach out to me on my options to return this product.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid little card

Pros: Great sale plus rebate that made the total cost only $6
works well in my old HP A1730 AM2 DDR2 and in both Dell Optiplex, one DDR2 the other DDR3, that I tried. Even over clocked easy to 700mhz core and 450mhz mem without too much heat on a fanless card.

Cons: No HDMI
minimal OC

Other Thoughts: Terrific option for web browsing, light/older gaming, or making a quiet basic home theater machine. Wish I could have a few more at the price I got.

Of the three companies I submitted rebates to (AVG and Cooler Master) after 2 months Powercolor was the only to have honored it, AVG used 3rd party to notify me I was declined.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Fanless, HDMI, has video playback acceleration

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had to update the BIOS on my Gigabyte B75M-D3H in order for the Board to POST/ boot up. My motherboard had the F4 BIOS, updating to F15 fixed the issue.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have been using this card in a Linux home theater pc for several months without a single issue. The rebate check arrived about seven weeks after I submitted the form.

Cons: None. It is hard to complain about a $10 video card that gets the job done.

Other Thoughts: I can understand how some people had difficulty with the rebate process. But, if you follow the instructions to the letter, you should not have a problem.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deal for $9.99 but not so attractive when rebate didn't come

Pros: Price. This is actually, not going to get any better, for $9.99 after rebate, you can barely get a Display Port to DVI adaptor for that price in Jan 2014.

Cons: This is not really a con, I didn't actually receive the $20 rebate. So I paid $29.99 for it.
But I would have to say, for $29.99, it's still not a bad deal. It's just that I may perhaps be willing to pay slightly more for some card that is way better.
For some reason though, I feel that this video chip is like a chip designed for maybe laptop, mobile units?
And please do NOT try to over clock or use it as a performance card. It's barely any faster, actually probably slower than my built-in video chipset in the CPU (Intel HD P4000). When you have very high usage on this card (well, for this card, if you're doing 1920x1080 with highest settings in CSGO "Counter Strike Global Offensive", it is probably over heating . . . . so . . . do not use it for games or graphics or cads & 3D's . . . .etc

Other Thoughts: I put this card into my Lenovo TS130 Server. So I have HDMI output, so that I can work on my TV. I'm not a graphics guy, I just watch a movie or two here and there, some netflix, and some word processing / excel / sql query writing. This card is decent enough for that. No complaints. Kind of funny, my laptop has a much better graphics card than this.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Value, No VGA Bracket For Low Profile

Pros: Passive Cooling (quiet); Plays Blu-Ray rips without a flinch with a Core 2 Duo machine; HDMI/DVI/VGA outputs; perfect for extending life of an old machine

Cons: Passive Cooling (runs very warm); no way to mount VGA connector when using low profile setup.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to get a cheap card for an old HP D5800 being converted to a media player for a friend. Who is the PowerColor mastermind that didn't consider providing a VGA slot mount when converting to low profile? What? It may have cost an extra $.50? Epic fail.Since this is a DVI-D output, a vga converter is out of the question. Oh well... need to rig something to support the vga input plug, something the MANUFACTURER should have done at minimal cost. Now on to see if I get my rebate......

4 out of 5 eggsnot ACCUALY 4 eggs ! READ

Pros: cheep with rebate
i bought it for 5 bucks

Cons: does not seem to like Linux although i did not work very hard at trying to get it to. it may work with just a tiny bit of effort

Other Thoughts: a couple months ago i wrote a somewhat negative review of this product. i currently have it working good on a windows machine so i wanted to give it a better review to help pull up the average had i not left the first review i would give this card 3 eggs

i did not have very good luck on a linux computer ALSO !
i only bought it because it was 5 bucks with a rebate
i have not yet recieved the rebate !
also i have contacted power color about this and they asked for the rebate number to look further into it after giving them the number again i never heard back so i am not impressed with powercolor's costumer service and i am not considering them as a manufacturer of the r9 270x i am planning on buying

Pros: Been running this card in my HTPC which i run 24/7 for over a year, not one issue.

Cons: 0

Other Thoughts: If you didn't get a rebate, you didn't submit the correct information, i received mine.
