3 out of 5 eggsNon Compatible

Pros: I guess the thing works okay. I bought it for my Pentium D 2.8 and it just never worked in it. I then put it into my fathers newer AMD setup and it worked fine. Even after a tiny resistor popped off while I was installing it. Ooops? Not sure who's at fault. Probably me.

Cons: The card worked fine...on a newer computer.

Other Thoughts: I guess the point of these cards are fore crossfire? I dunno. I heard that crossfire isn't much to bother with anyway. You can play WoW type graphics DirectX11. I tried playing GTAIV as a benchmark. No go there. It installed so that's about as far as I went other than the first sequence of drama.

Manufacturer Response:

It isn't uncommon to have to install firmware or BIOS updates to older motherboards in order to improve compatibility with newer hardware, so that could very well be why you didn't have any success in loading this card into your older Pentium-D system. You can choose to run it in Crossfire, or you can run it normally. If you have any questions about this card or about the problems you're having feel free to e-mail me at hugo@powercolor.com and I'll be more than happy to help you out, thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Gaming!

Pros: The PowerColor Radeon HD 5500 1Gig video card was everything I could have hoped for. It runs extremely well, I have had No technical difficulties with it, and it provides excellent performance. If you happen to be a wow player, with 'High" graphics settings, I get abt 40-50 FPS in a 25 man raid consistently with no difficulty. All in all, a great product.

Cons: I should have purchased two.

Other Thoughts: Thinking of adding a second one to my system, if anyone has done this feel free to let me know how it went in a message, etc.
