4 out of 5 eggsCCC what a pain!

Pros: This is good for above average gamer who does not have a lot of money to spend. Very good features and very capable. Regardless of the heartburn I had with installation. I'll still give it 4 eggs.

Cons: Catalyst, I ended up installing and re-installing this piece of software 6, 7 times from different sources in order to get Catalyst Control Center to run. Blue screen of death on a couple of occasions. Have to remove microsoft CCC does not like multiple tries of installs. If the install did not finish the first time, you better uninstall what were copied over and start with a clean slate. Absolute pain in the you know where.

Other Thoughts: I think I bought the last one in stock, LOL.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: -price
-factory OC
I can run WoW on ultra with 40-50 fps and on high with 75 fps

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I got this for my first build, and was on a budget. I really only play wow and watch movies so this card is awesome for me. I'm sure it can run more gpu intensive programs on medium-high settings.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for Buck Factor off the scale

Pros: Excellent mid-range card. Low power needs, good quality graphics, and an excellent price.

I actually own the PCS+ Dirt 2 model clocked @ 875/1225, but my comments apply to this model too.

2 are even better than 1. Bought 1 for $149 about a year ago, and added one just after christmas last on sale for $125.

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: Have Phenom II X4 running @ 3.8GHZ, MSI 790XT MB, 4Gig G.Skill DDR2 1066, RAID 0 (WD640AAEX Black X2) and have 2 Powercolor HD 5770 PCS+ in Crossfire. Mine are the original Dirt2 models running @ 875/1225 stock. Great performance for the price. This card hass just been kicked upa notch on Core speed. Mine is running @ 880 daily but will clock to 910Mhz. Just don't see the need for it right now.

Crossfire results:
3DMark 11 - 4797 @ my gaming settings in driver
3DMark 06 - 20563 " " "
3DMark 05 - 26465 " " "

Avg FPS of 75-80 in Farcry 2 with maxed settings
Avg FPS of 65-70 in Dirt 2 with Ultra settings

Good stuff!!!

2 out of 5 eggsslight annoyance

Pros: looks nice, fan does a good job and usually idles at 40% and is quiet enough. runs my games on high settings.

Cons: had another 5770 that i rma that was making screens flicker, this one unfortunately did the same thing. had to rma this one as well.

Other Thoughts: next card will be a 6850 because i have heard there are issues with the 5XXX cards. i cant confirm that but i am just steering clear from now on

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: supports directx11, huge difference in graphics and the 1gb of gddr5 makes for plenty of good gaming without hiccups. sadly i dont have a 1080p monitor but im running all my games at 1680x1050 max settings without any problems what so ever. another great thing about this card is that it stays cool even under a hefty load. this is the little engine that could :)

Cons: the fan is a little loud at full load but that doesnt bother me at all. my pc is built for performance so hearing a fan run doesnt phase me. the only way i actually found out the fan was loud was going into ATI tray tools and putting the fan at 100, with all my games at max settings i have yet to hit full load.

Other Thoughts: every single game i have i ran at full settings including tf2, cod black ops, oblivion, bioshock, left4dead 1 and 2, aion, and many others all worked absolutely flawlessly with no hiccups at all. i HIGHLY recommend this card!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CARD

Pros: No problems with this card. I bumped it up to 950 on core clock, 1360 on memory, runs solid @ 45c on idle. With all settings on max it runs 58c playing modern warfare2. I really like the fan adjustment thru the software settings.

Cons: fan is a little noisy at 100% however most of the time it's 60 to 75% even on load.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid 5770.

Pros: Overclocks to 950 and 1360, 50C idle at 40% fan.
Max 80C under load (Kombustor) at 65% fan.
Comes with Cod MW2 steam game coupon.
Sexy Looking with shorter board then reference.

Cons: From about 52%-58% the fan begins to make a very high-pitched whine which is non exsistant at 50% or 60%.
No voltage control.

Other Thoughts: I'd give it a 4.5 if I could, the only real problem with my card is the high pitched whine. I've been told lubricating the motor may help but dont know if a problem thats really only noticable when fan is increasing or decreasing speed really need to be prioritized.
