5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Cheap.
Powerful.
Easy install.

Cons: The 6870 sticker on it is cheaply made and fell off mine.

Other Thoughts: runs everything I throw at it (GTA:IV to BF3:Alpha) on the max settings. Combined with a great set-up the card will not be afraid to preform to the standard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Price/Performance is fantastic. Great card, plays most all games I throw at it on high settings.

Cons: Fans are loud.

Other Thoughts: When I first started using it the fan was REALLY loud, it sounded like it was loose. that has since stopped. Plug and Play. nothing more to it.

I upgraded to this card from an ATi 3850HD (which is still a good card) and I have been amazed on what I have been missing out on.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy with it...

Pros: Great budget card. Scored a 12,000 in the GPU section of 3DMark Vantage, and holds a stable 45+ fps in any recent game with settings on Ultra with a 1360x768 resolution.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I felt just a little let down by the card, I think the card should have had a little more power for the price. Although, this is me just being picky I suppose... So it's still a 5 egg product!

5 out of 5 eggsMSI afterburner

Pros: Runs fast and processes calculations very well. Easily overclocked to ~950 MHz. Easily compute graphics for any modern game with ease(How many words with the root word ease can i use). Big explosions drop my fps down to 20 but I'm talking big explosions that are right in your face!
Decent price to performance ratio.

Cons: Download something to monitor the GPU temps and adjust fan speeds. I suggest MSI Afterburner otherwise you're default fan speed will cause the card to operate at terrible temps. I pushed 111C(Yeah, celsius) with default fan speeds, lawl.
As mentioned in a previous review, the fan can be loud beyond 40%. I discovered that yes, yes it is. Put on head phones.

Other Thoughts: if the 5770 is a boat, then the 6870 is a much much bigger boat!. What am I getting at? Ever made love to a peanut butter sandwich...

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Handles anything thrown at it.

Price (200$ with discount)

Cons: Base fan settings are too low, resulting in a higher than expected idle temperature.

- When using 3D applications, the radial fan is very loud, and it is noticeable.
- Card temperature during 3D is higher than I'd like, but from what I've read, it's perfectly within normal operating ranges for these cards: 68C. That's a bit too warm for my liking, though.

Other Thoughts: I'd suggest using an aftermarket VGA heatsink for this card, because the stock cooling option isn't satisfactory.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a beast!

Pros: Easy to install
Very fast
Overclocking is easy
Cooling is great (See other thoughts)
Not energy hog
1GB DDR5
Plays Far Cry 2 @ 1080p max settings 50FPS

Cons: Can be hot (See other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: This card at stock fan speeds can get pretty hot. Durring game play on Far Cry 2 @ 1080p, max settings, I can get around 170f. This is better than most cards. But if you control the fan speeds manually, and don't mind the noise, the card can get really cool.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance

Pros: Great Price to Performance

Accessories in box were great

easily over clocked (really easy in fact)

Cons: Cheap looking sticker on the front............ but really who cares? :-)

Other Thoughts: I bought this PowerColor HD 6870 as a second card for crossfire. My other card being a XFX HD 6870 Black Edition. The PowerColor came with way more accessories and I got on sale for $229.00.

I easily over clocked the PowerColor card to match my factory overclocked XFX (940ghz, 1150ghz) and am crushing any games with ridiculous frame rates!

Computer Specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II 945 @3.3
MB: Asus M4A79XTD-EVO
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @1600+
Video: AMD HD 6870 in Crossfire
PSU: Raidmax RX-850AE
Case: NZXT Tempest EVO
