5 out of 5 eggsbetter bang?

Pros: nice card . Pci express edges out this card, but only marginal gain. can't see paying for whole system change yet. Still plays all games on highest settings like Doom3 and BF2. Add some ram too and you will be good for a while.

Cons: none, but no 480 gpu. can not reach max headroom for agp. Agp will soon be gone, but not dead.

Other Thoughts: Little more cash will get you a ATI X850 pro. I did bio flash to X850 xt pe. 16 pipes no artifacts.down loaded Ati tools and oc to 599 core/ 623 mem and hit 6800+ on 3DMark05. No kidding. better cooling is a must.My last AGP card as pci ex might take over.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card Minus the VIVO

Pros: Superb graphics for the price.

Cons: Poor customer service from Powercolor.

Other Thoughts: This card does eveything I hoped that it would do graphically for me. I went from a 1725 3dMark05 score with an X600 to a 4600. My only complaint is that the VIVO function does not work at all, nor does my TV out. I sent my original card back and the new one does the exact same thing. If you are buying this card mostly for the VIVO function I would recommend one of the others. Otherwise this is one great card.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter bang for your buck..

Comments: Just to help out the newbies out there that don't want to scour the internet to find best price/performance on a video card ; it's already confusing as it is with all the different models. No this is not the best bang for your buck, not even close (although seemingly the same as the card I will describe). Go for the Connect3dgto vivo if you can get one before everyone else catches on, and it's the same price as this card. The connect3dgto is the only gto vivo card that is an excellent value and will instantly unlock to 16 pipelines with an easy bios mod and has the R423 core (pci-express version of R-420 core) that is highly overclockable and surprisingly , is superior to the R480 in this regard. It has 2.0ns samsung Ram that will run stable at 550mhz(1100mhz DDR) and the core is a monster that will go stable to between 540 & 550 from it's so called 400mhz stock ;o) So, as you may have figured out by now this either trumps and/or matches a x850xt pe (a $300+ card), check the link to see the scores -- I beat out the x850xt pe with a 6400 in 3dmark2005, trumping a card that is supposedly five levels above mine. Sorry Best bang for buck guy, this monster card has you beat by 50%+. Now that's what I call value.

5 out of 5 eggsBig Bang for the Buck

Comments: I just upgraded to this video card from my ASUS Radeon X300 128MB. My old 3DMark05 score was 1040. I popped this baby in and it more than quadrupled my score to 4412 easily.

For the price, nothing beats this card, I highly recommend it to any gaming enthusiast who doesn't have a great deal of cash to spend on the high-end graphics cards.

Great price, great performance, and easy install. Another reason why I chose this card is that it does not require a 6-pin PCI Express power connection.

Bottom Line: Huge BANG for the buck. Buy this card!

As always newegg got it to me withing 48 hours of my purchase, thanks!
