5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great little card. Purchased this for my first gaming build. which I combined with an AMD Athlon II x4 631 O.C. @ 3.8Ghz on stock cooler and a Gigabyte A55m-ds2 board. This card plays all my games on high or max settings. Skyrim ultra with ENB mods 30+ fps and BF3 30+ FPS. I even tried GTA IV and got around 25+ avg. This cad is also good at overclocking it have it at 880mhz Core and 800mhz mem clock. Temps are 40c full load. Not bad. Overall happy with my choice.

Cons: None at the moment. I Was a little worried when I tried pushing the mem clock to 850 and started getting errors but that's not the cards fault. Since then I upgraded from an 7 year old case i used to hold all the new parts to have to my new cooler master elite. Temps dropped about 4c and overall my systems if cooler and more responsive.

Other Thoughts: Go and get this card! Its pretty good. I am gonna upgrade soon cause the games and software I wanna run are just getting that much more demanding. Don't be bias to this brand either. They are just as good as any other.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of junk

Pros: It was fairly cheap for what was offered.

Cons: Had issues when it arrived, now it's completely stopped working six months later.

Other Thoughts: I had some initial problems with the card when it first arrived. I did manage to get it working, and it ran great. Six months later, it's no longer recognized in Windows, thus not able to be used. This was my first ATI card, and it will be my last.

2 out of 5 eggsVery quite and cool but cheap and poor performance.

Pros: the temps after a 15 minute burn in test stayed loq in the 45-50 C range and fan speed never went above 45% so very quite

Cons: GDDR3 Memory is not good at all. very poor quality to play more demanding games. for need for speed the run i get 30 FPS at 1920x1080 and everything on as low as it can go. Batman Arkham city 1920x1080 30 fps everything on low. so for me personally this isnt enough. spend your money on a card that has GDDR5 memory reason being is that GDDR5 memoy DOUBLES the bandwith of GDDR3 memory so its a HUGE difference just buy this card from a different brand. thsi brand to be honest is cheap. its not a bad thing though. the issue is its just a slow card. get the GDDR5 version. HUGE difference.

Manufacturer Response:

This card is a budget gaming card. As it is a budget gaming card, newer games, such as the Batman Arkham City game you mentioned, will not be able to run smoothly at higher settings. Just because a card uses GDDR5 does not necessarily mean it will be better performing than this card. There are a lot of different factors to consider the performance level of a card such as GPU speed, shaders, amount of memory, memory speed, memory bus etc.

I'm sorry to say it, but you bought a budget gaming card and it is performing as it should.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jgaray@powercolor.com.

Thank you,

Jonathan

1 out of 5 eggsFirst was DOA

Pros: Not really any. My GT240 1GB DDR3 outperforms this card. I did manage to get a slight stable overclock on it so for those who want to bump this up a little on stock voltages do these...

825mhz on the core
800mhz on the memory

I have had no heat problems, or crashing of any kind.

Cons: First one was DOA, the second seems to be running fine (then again, fine as in, slower then every other brand of 6670 out there)...

Other Thoughts: Don't even bother. Just spend the extra 30-40$ and get a 460 or 550ti...

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with your first card, I glad to know that your replacement is working just fine.

As for the overall performance of the card, this card isn't a high end video card so it's performance won't be all that great. The NVIDIA cards you mentioned are still a step above this one in regards to the level of performance, hence the increased prices of the NVIDIA products you mentioned compared to our 6670.

If you do have any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at jgaray@powercolor.com.

Thank you,

Jonathan

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: can play FarCry2 on highest Res. everything looked great, until

Cons: it stopped working after 1 month. Drivers failed, and i must now run off a Mobility 9000. and im shopping for a new card, even though i cant afford one. i was trying to save up for a new Case, but now i must buy a new GPU :(

Other Thoughts: Was a great buy for the price, except i was mis-informed that it was CrossFireX compatible. If the card still worked i would give it 4 Eggs. But i have been messing with it for a week, and these drivers are still corrupt. and its not the OS fault, i have re-installed everything a few times, with no luck, so it can only be the cards fault.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: I bought this as a cheap way to run dual graphics for a new build I've done.
I was rather impressed with it's performance so far, it's giving me an average 45-65 fps on SWTOR.
If you're looking for a good card for the money, this is definitely it.

Cons: Drivers on disk are outdated.

Other Thoughts: System:
CPU: AMD A8-3870 Unlocked (Overclocked to 3.4ghz)
GPU: PowerColor Radeon HD 6670 1gb
RAM: Crucial Ballistix sport 1600 4gb x 2.
HD: Western Digital Caviar Green 500gb
DD: Samsung DVD burner 22x
MB: ASRock A55M-HVS FM1
Case: Broadway Com Corp 939PL-BLACK Steel ATX Mid

1 out of 5 eggsUPDATE. DON'T BUY THIS CARD..

Pros: It looks good? But really who cares if it doesn't preform.

Cons: These cards don't preform anywhere near what they should. Very poor benchmark scores compared to other brands, such as XFX, ASUS, GIGABYTE, SAPPHIER, MSI, HIS.

Other Thoughts: HD 6670's are good budget gaming cards, when they do what they are supposed to. I will never use Power Color again, You would be much better off going with one of the other brands i mentioned. "5 Eggs for Neweggs customer service its second to none".

Manufacturer Response:

Performance wise there shouldn't be any issue between a PowerColor 6670 and any other 6670 (assuming they have the same specifications such as clock speeds, memory bandwidth, etc). Our cards aren't performance-crippled simply because they're PowerColor brand. If you were getting lower benchmarks than what you were expecting, then either A) Your expectations were too high, or B) Something wasn't configured properly. If you shoot me an e-mail at hugo@powercolor.com I'll be more than happy to help you get this working as it should. Please reference this review if you do e-mail me. Thanks.

Hugo

5 out of 5 eggsNice Card

Pros: Quiet so far and handles most of my games very well. I had no installation issues. I was pleased with the price and getting Direct X 11 support.

Cons: Nothing yet, but maybe the fan will get noisy with strong usage?
