1 out of 5 eggsWas hoping for better

Pros: Was a decent price when I purchased and offered various output ports

Cons: After 4 months, started causing my monitors to go black for a few seconds, then they come back for 10 seconds, then back to black. 3 different AMD drivers and the driver directly from PowerColor, all the same behavior.

Manufacturer Response:

We apologize for the issue that you are facing with the card. Please check to see if your cable connection or monitor is damaged. Your system component should also be troubleshooted for issue. Please email me at for more help.

Best Regards,

2 out of 5 eggsPoor for me

Pros: Worked well out of the box.

Cons: Right at around 60 days it would no longer drive two monitors. I also now get lots of boxes on my monitor where things do not get rendered correctly. I'm very disappointed with this card.

Other Thoughts: Probably not worth the RMA effort as I did not keep the box or the accessories which it came with after it was working initially. I probably should have went with a manufacturer with a better reputation.

Lesson learned.

Manufacturer Response:

In order to submit a RMA, all you would need is the original card and the invoice. Please contact me directly at and I will resolve the issue.

Best Regards,

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: I have had two of these cards running on my mining rig for the past week and a half and have had nothing but solid performance from them. 320 +/- 5 kh/s out of the box and 410 OC'ed. Low temps when running at moderate to high intensity. Works like a charm. Ordered 3 more but none in stock at the moment. Gonna have to go with the 7870's from PowerColor

Cons: None that I can think of except the size so more than one can't fit into a regular case

Other Thoughts: Great value for money on this product as I got it for 169.99 and have already made my money back in mining. Can't comment on the power usage as this is not an issue for me (Free electricity on campus :-) :-) :-) )

5 out of 5 eggsThoughts after 2 months

Pros: Still cheap, quiet, overclocked from the factory, run pretty cool on air. Liked it so much I ordered a second one. Crossfire works great with new Catalyst drivers and DX10 or 11.

Cons: Sometimes get a little stuttering in crossifre with DX9 or older games but that is a AMD driver issue more than the cards themselves. DX10/11 work fine and pretty much every game I have is at least DX10.

Other Thoughts: To whoever is posting on here about not being able to unlock voltage... Unlocking voltage control is a basic setting in multiple programs like Afterburner or others. If you download the Sapphire overclock GUI it doesn't even have an option to lock or unlock its just unlocked... Probably should understand how to overclock before giving these cards 1 eg...

Anyway, I have been able to move the voltage on these all over the place but both of these clock up to 1050/1400 just fine on 1.21 volts. Could go higher but did not see a huge difference in scores or performance in games. Benchmarks are just that, benchmarks and a great benhcmark does not always translate into better performance although it often does.

Speaking of benchmarks, one of these cards stock scored around 6100 in the free version of 3DMark 11. I decided to take advantage of the price on these things and throw another one in there and am now getting mid 9000s and I know I could break 10k if I really pushed it but I don't see the point. For under $300 you just cannot beat that.

Specs are:

AMD Thuban 6 Core clocked to 3.6ghz
ASRock 990 Version 3 Mobo
16 gigs Crucial DDR1600
Dual Radeon 7850 2GB cards in crossfire

Not a crazy system by any means but capable for the time being.

1 out of 5 eggsvoltage is locked to 1.21V

Pros: seems built well

Cons: voltage is locked to 1.21V and I can't even increase the core 25mhz without games crashing. I see cards doing 1100+ on 1.21V and I cant increase the voltage past that so I am stuck at the default clock speeds. I will not buy from powercolor again, what is the point of buying this type of card if you are going limit it?

Other Thoughts: stay away from powercolor and buy something different

4 out of 5 eggsSolid deal

Pros: Smoothed over my framerate over an older 5970 that blew out, reverted to an older GTX 290, didn't work at all with the CPU. Made a new build with this card at its heart and its back to what it was.
Constant V-sync framerate
Faster recording
Very little stuttering
Way less power consumption than my previous 5970 and 290

Cons: Some of my games with Nvidia PhyX run slower now since I was used to running a GTX 290.

Other Thoughts: Bought it during the black friday sale

5 out of 5 eggsBest budget card available for the price

Pros: Runs Skyrim on max, not too loud, CHEAP on Cyber Monday.

Cons: Little loud but not like the 4850 its replacing... that thing sounded like a blowdryer.

Other Thoughts: Waited for Cyber Monday to get one of these, if PowerColor pays out the rebate I will have got it for $109 total. For a power gamer, maybe 2 of these crossfired together would be ok, for an average gamer like me, this is more than enough especially coming from a 4850. Phenom II Thuban six core at 2.8ghz and the 4850 was having issues running newer games. This card and clocking the Phenom up to 3.6ghz with a SSD has everything running silky smooth on high settings with 0 issues. Highly recommend if it comes back in stock.

4 out of 5 eggsReview Numero 2

Pros: It works well. Runs very very cool. The fan is quiet.

Cons: I wrote another review because, I got the display port adapter I needed to hook up another vga display. (Note that it will only support one on dvi if you have hdmi connected). Sadly, one of my display ports is shorted, so it doesn't work except in very brief flashes. I don't really need to RMA though because I only need 3 monitors.

Other Thoughts: Please make sure that all the ports are working correctly if you want 4 monitors. Also, if you want more than 2 monitors, you'll need to make use of the mini display ports. I should also note that it comes with a mini display port to display port adapter

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: -Great Overclocker
I have it at 1200 MHz and I could probably push it further.
At 1200 MHz it stays relatively cool,
Runs all games I play on ultra @1080p with 60+ frames. This card obliterates Skyrim, Minecraft, etc.

Cons: Aesthetically unpleasing, this really isn't a con but with all the good things it does I had to give it at least one. Also I like looks, not that I would be staring at it.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price I got it for(~140$).

5 out of 5 eggsSolid card for the price

Pros: It comes with the PCS+ cooling solution that keeps this card very cool even when you're running it hard. Comes straight from the factory with a nice OC that even has more tolerable limits than stock clocks. Fits nicely in the case. My previous card was about 11 inches long (!) and took 2 pci-e 6 pin power connectors...this one only utilizes one and is 9 inches in length. . Beautiful HD rendering and gameplay is lag free and sharp. I got this card when it was on sale for $139. Tie that in with the face that it had a $30 rebate and you will NEVER find another deal like this anywhere for this kind of performance...not even used on other seller sites. Thank you, Newegg for brightening my X-mas! =)

Cons: None. Even the rebate process was really easy if you follow the instructions and pay attention. My rebate check is already on it's way here. =)

Other Thoughts: Bear in mind, I graduated from a 5850 to this and I can definitely see the differences, although the 5850 is still a powerhouse of a card. Amazing how technology becomes so obsolete so quickly.
