5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solidly built with a back plate. 3 fan cooling solution. High clock rate from the factory. Nice looking and well packaged. Runs Skyrim on Ultra and Crysis 3 on High.

Cons: Some of today's new games are requiring more memory to run effectively. 2 gigs of GDDR5 is fine for most current titles and I really like this GPU. just be warned that this video card will struggle with some of newer games like Shadow of Mordor.

Other Thoughts: A10-7850K APU
ASRock Fatal1ty A88X+MOBO
Powercolor Devil R9 270X GPU
WD 1 TB Black HDD
HyperX Blu Red 8 GB (2 x 4) memory
Raidmax 635w bronze modular PSU
Enermax CPU cooler

3 out of 5 eggsMeh..

Pros: - Looks cool
- Feels heavy and sturdy
- Shielded Circuit board always a good thing
- Can play anything I threw at it on ultra 1080p for a while (see cons)
- The mouse pad is a nice touch
- Handles starcraft 2 easily without a hiccup, yet everything else..

Cons: This card is a good feeling, very good looking piece of hardware, I wish the company stood behind their product a little more, you get a cd which doesn't even work under win7 64bit, when you get to the official webpage, it looks like the pages we used to make in school back in 1998 in seventh grade. and that is my main problem there
You want new drivers, hmm .. I wouldn't get them from powercolor ... You want some software to overclock/tweak/monitor your card, hmm .. I don't thing so .. as I'm writing this review I feel like taking another egg off .. not a happy camper!

Other Thoughts: I would say 85% satisfaction with this buy, it's already a second 270x I bought, the first one was ASUS and got RMA due to multi monitor problem

-This one feels and looks and performs much better, but still play crysis 3 on high for half a match (10 mins or so) and it crashes, why, I didn't try to find out yet
- Now I got the Xcom declassified, which is a basic graphics directx 11 game, set it to ultra, you get about 50fps but ---
- Glitches on the loading screens, lags in fights
- the mouse pad is so huge, I have a custom built desk so it actually fits on it, but if you have a "normal desk" .. good luck
- I have upgraded from ASUS 7850, because it felt like a good idea after two years of having that card, shouldn't have done it, maybe I expected too much, maybe they delivered too little

5 out of 5 eggsneeds to be in 280

Pros: bought from another retailer very nice card one of the best accept its a bit underpowered.

Cons: why on earth would they make such a nice looking card for only 1 platform the 270x? this should really be available for the 280 and 280x. power colour come on now what were you thinking. 2gb of vram just aint enough and wont be enough for the future. cards too underpowered .

Other Thoughts: i bet this will come out for 280 and 280x or for the 300 series. again such a huge disappointment

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent

Pros: Great card. Although factory OC I of course tried. With power limit up to 20% I achieved a bf4 stable 1200/1500 clock speed. pretty darn loud and runs fairly warm. got fans to run at 100% at 60c and settles around 70c. I have another one on the way right now for crossfire. fit an finish was great.

Cons: Not much, just loud. but I game loud so it's a non issue

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When it works it runs games effortlessly

Cons: Where to start...almost most every time my pc is on it blue screens because of video issues and its not a driver issue i had a IT technician try to fix it with no success

Other Thoughts: If I was you research before you buy because you would be better of spending 20 more dollars and not have constant in game issues

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: Good build quality, looks awesome, and runs cool. I've had zero issues with it, and it runs games great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm thinking I'll add a second card in X-Fire when I get a third monitor for Eyefinity. Right now I'm only gaming on one of my two screens, because Eyefinity isn't that great with just two monitors.

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT buy PowerColor products

Pros: None!

Cons: PowerColor has the worst quality control issues. Loose screws on the aluminum shroud on arrival, including several stripped ones at the bottom of the anti-static bag, not playable out of box. I've recently did an RMA through PowerColor on a different card (my Devil 13 7990) and the refurbished card they sent had deep scratches on the backplate as well as on the aluminum shroud, not to mentioned the fan array was completely detaching from the heatsink also due to loose screws. They blamed me and said they would never send something like that out. BEWARE! This company is the worst and has the worst customer service! Buy Sapphire, Asus, etc., anything but PowerColor! They do NOT deserve your business.

Other Thoughts: I did not purchase my Devil 270X through Newegg unfortunately so I'll have to go through the same painstaking RMA process with PowerColor and I'm sure they'll send me a scratched up one they try and pass off as refurbished.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: *Very Fast
*Runs most games on ultra settings
*Mostly quiet
*Low Idle Temp (Usually around 30 C)
*Supports high resolution monitors (I use a 24 in. monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080)
*Great build quality
*Looks great
*Comes with a big mouse pad which is very nice

Cons: *Can be loud under heavy load in game
*Temperatures get very hot in some games (80 C and higher)

Other Thoughts: Overall it is worth the money but make sure you have a good case with good airflow. Even with the 3 fans it can tend to get very hot.

4 out of 5 eggsBsod and flickering

Pros: is fast! looks great and is the highest clocked 270x around. I upgraded from an radeon hd 6870 and i get from 40% to an whoping 80% increase on fps depending on the game.

Cons: i get some bsod ramdomly on diferent games as bf4, diablo 3, batman arkman.. also i get some flickering on games some random lines or square apears on my games and the crash. sometimes is noisy, caused by a lot thermal paste applied to the core. memory chips are not cooled by the heatsink.
