5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing!

Pros: This card is great! It runs everything I throw at it on maximum settings and stays cool! I have owned 3 of these cards so far and have had absolutely no problems with any of them yet! Two of them I was using for cryptocurrency mining and this third one is being used solely for gaming.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I guess I have been lucky in that none of the 3 cards I have bought so far have any coil whine issues. Also, the heat dissipation plate on the back of the card really makes it stand out in a windowed case as well!

1 out of 5 eggsgood performence, loud hissing sound, poor customer service

Pros: - gives a feel of comfort running 2 years old games like dirt 3 all maxed out X8 AA 1920 x 1200 100-120 FPS .
- overclocks well on the memory (1600- 1700) but less on the core clock (1155)
-hefty and heat tolerant and runs much cooler than previous generation cards

Cons: - Performence increase from a generation to another is served to us as drips of IV perfusion : minimal perfomence increase (visible to the naked eye) over 7950 : not worth the spending of more than 200$

-Extremely loud hissing coil whine sound when card is under stress ( gaming): very annoying makes up for the quieteness of the card

- power color customer service = joke, no knowledgeable tech support : they didin't know about the dual bios switch nature and what is loaded in each bios, and ignored the loud coil whine, warranty will not cover second owner of the card = big joke in the world of video cards ( compare with XFX bets warranty)

- ridiculous fans with low airflow and low profile fan curve ( changed with power color utility)

Other Thoughts: newer catalyst and driver from amd 14.4 allow very low clocks but stable on multi monitor, allowing lower heat and lower fan speeds but colors came washed out with no possible compensation , I had to revert to driver 12 on catalyst 13.4 to get back the real color scheme of my monitors but card run 15 degrees hotter because of the higher idle clocks: please fix this issue AMD !

Do yourself a favor and choose a different brand that offer more comprehensive customer support and warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat A Beast!

Pros: Works wonderful. even on high processing and rendering of projects it stays fairly cool. quiet and massively powerful for everything I throw at it. any game that needs CPU I can easily play max graphics and the card just dosnt seem to care. for a 280x as well very well priced.

works fairly well for mining as well

Cons: Not much to say here. If your looking for a more cost effective computer I would look for cheaper cards. It defiantly is more power then you may need for a casual gamer. Also at least in what I have seen AMD's crossfire. is..... meh... hit and miss with a lot of games. but thats not the card's fault.

Other Thoughts: overall I am very happy with this card. If all goes well I will be holding onto this baby for years to come.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond Card

Pros: Good quality. 2 fans to keep it quieter. solid metal backplate. Long crossfire cable included instead of short one.

Cons: accessories. Included items seem a little plain. A VGA - DVI adapter which I don't think anyone buying this card needs, a 6pin to 8pin adapter(again, if your buying this card you probably have a good PSU in the first place)

Other Thoughts: I always try to go with the Asus or Sapphire brands over the years and I have learned more time than not they are always the best quality and have the best overclocking ability. towards the bottom I have learned you have visiontek and XFX(as far as overclocking ability and cooling solution, from expereinces) I am surprised to find that everytime I end up getting a Powercolor GPU I am always pleasantly surprised and very happy owner. Overclocking ability is great on both cards I have. Thanks , will buy again!

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome card but loud

Pros: Price. Looks nice.

Cons: Is loud. Every time I start a game the fans and the pipe make and loud "winning sound".

I read in another review that this is normal.

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes constantly

Pros: Cheap

Cons: blue screen of death running latest 14.10.1006 AMD Catalyst Software Suite, keep getting a blue screen saying atikmdag.sys was the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Build quality is really good. the back plate is a nice addition. Stays cool under load. replaced two Sapphire 6950s which were starting to run hot and having fan problems. Am very happy and cant wait to add another in my system.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have heard I can crossfire this 280x with a 7970, if I can get one cheaply I may try that but I would rather get another one of these 280x, it looks that nice!!

1 out of 5 eggsPowerColor can Kiss My Buttoxx

Pros: Ran games just fine for about 2 weeks...

Cons: Display stopped working out of the blue... Since I purchased it from someone else and was not technically the "Original" owner all warranty is voided. This is a loophole that needs to be fixed. It was new and sealed in the box when I purchased. I urge everyone and their uncle to purchase anything but Powercolor... Thanks for being terrible Powercolor and for your shady customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card

Pros: Great Video Card. What a difference from the R9 270X which was replaced by this R9 280X. World of Warcraft and Skyrim run so smoothly even with graphic mods and many NPCs. Overall great card.

Cons: No Cons about the video card. The only con I can think of is really the shipping method used which I already gave my personal feedback to Newegg. FedEx Smart Post is the worst shipping method and was surprised Newegg is using it. Product was shipped out from NJ to NY and it went to PA first and took 4 Days. If the shipping method has its own Facebook page about how much it sucks then I rest my case.

Other Thoughts: Box came in perfectly and without damage. Thank you!
