1 out of 5 eggsCheap Cheap Cheap... Terrible Customer Service To Top It Off

Pros: Looks good. Has a backplate. Decent overclock potential.

Cons: The fans were rattling (after no more than 2 months of gaming at stock clocks), so I decided to touch them lightly to stop them from rattling -- big mistake. One fan instantly shattered into pieces, and with the same debris coming from the first fan, broke a couple of fins off the 2nd fan. I contacted Powercolor -- $100 to repair the card. I'd repair the card myself, but they won't send replacement fans and it's nearly impossible to find suitable replacements anywhere.

4 out of 5 eggsNot to Shabby

Pros: -Plently of power
-Seems to stay cool
-Runs stable (Now)
-Looks pretty
-Takes up a lot of space, and bigger is always better.

Cons: -Price...
-Not as powerful as I hoped (Upgrade from 5870 which has 1600 streamys and 1G, for reference.)
-Incredibly unstable out of the box
-Haven't tried OC yet because of stability issues.

Other Thoughts: When I received my card, it worked find for a week or so. Then it started crashing about once per day. It wasn't to much of a hassle, except with every crash, the frequency increased until it crashed about every 15 minutes I tried many things to make sure it wasn't my fault, including down clocking it.

After contacting PowerColor, they threw me a firmware update that fixed the crashing instantly. Though, I'm not sure what the issue really was. I still feel like my card is way underpowered and it in no way hits the marks reported by others...

Oh well tho, still works so I'm happy.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't listen to a review by anyone with a 750W or less PSU

Pros: Card runs great, performs as it should, can even be tweaked for some minor over clocking. Plays crysis 3 at 60+ fps(I have my frames capped at 60. on ultra settings with 3 monitors with absolute ease.

So far I have owned this guy for a year and has not let me down once.

Cons: None. If you know what you are buying, how to build a computer PROPERLY and how to configure your system effectively, this card will be all you ever need.

Other Thoughts: DOA reviews are useless. They do not help a person evaluate a product as one in 50 products from any given company will be DOA.

MORE IMPORTANTLY. FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS CARD.... DO NOT READ ANY REVIEW FROM SOMEONE OPERATING THIS CARD WITH A 750W PSU or less.

They make the mental mistake of thinking that just because they have 300W of headroom, that the card will perform on a 650W PSU.
THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW A POWERSUPPLY WORKS.
Computer components cause millisecond spikes in power, that even the best power supply meters do not pick up. These spikes are every few seconds and can range from from 25W(USB devices) to 1000W(Extreme graphics cards).
These power spikes are managed by capacitors in your power supply. However, should you not have a sufficient power supply for the job, one with a good warranty, a good 80plus rating and a wattage at least 200W over the rating of THE COMBINED MAX WATTAGE OF ALL PARTS in your computer, you will have regular spikes where your power supply will not be able to keep up. As a result, any devices that use lower power, will crash... SSD's and USB devices are always first.

Capcitor aging is another thing to keep in mind.
If you have a 5 year old platinum plus 850W psu, I wouldn't buy this card. Upgrade your PSU first. Because Caps age, and loose their max capacity, and as such, after about 5 years, that PSU can handle spikes to maximum of about 700W.

Be smart, and stop whining when you buy the wrong parts and expect everything to be peachy.

Again, to reiterate, a 650W psu, is NEVER EVER EVER enough for a high end gaming card.

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable

5 out of 5 eggsreally good

Pros: never, never, never failed. Been running 24/7 for 4 months straight. very good cooler, 69C max seen with gpu-z after 4hrs of Witcher 3. Back in the day a $250 card was so-so, not any more. Buy it, and I dare you to RMA it.

Cons: default fan profile loud, but headphones or MSI Afterburner will do.

Other Thoughts: If youy are at 1080p like me, DON'T let a 980TI temp you. This card is bad***for 1/3 the price.

2 out of 5 eggsBSODs

Pros: good performance,
quiet
lots of ports

5 out of 5 eggsWow, get one now. Period.

Pros: Excellent performance/price. I was able to get a refurb unit for $229, and it performs flawlessly. GPU-Z indicates this has Samsung memory modules. Firestrike 1.1 1080p scores 8800, 9100 overclocked to 1122 core 1400 memory.
Perfect for any single screen/1080p user. In a Coolermaster Evo case, have only seen 69C after many hours of gaming, although it can get a little loud with the default fan profile. Headphones negate this issue! Very happy with purchase.

Cons: A little loud with default profile, but headphone users like me won't care.

Other Thoughts: For this kind of money for this amount of performance, what more could you want? No really, you live in La-La land if you think better deals are around. I won't buy another card until this one takes its last breath.

1 out of 5 eggsCard has a production BUG

Pros: Great when it works. GTA V maxed out easy.

Cons: Card comes with a bug that crashes it randomly. If you check the internet a lot of people have had the same problem. I got the updated bios from Power Color and it was completely unstable. This product should have been recalled from the market and all owner should get a upgrade to a newer updated version.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how a company as big as powercolor is still selling this thing. And how Newegg hasn't pulled it from the site.
