  • newegg Built for Crossfire The card features the Next Generation CrossFire support for up to 4 graphics cards with NO interconnect bridge required.
  • newegg Mantle There’s optimization, and then there’s Mantle. Games enabled with Mantle speak the language of GCN architecture to unlock revolutionary performance and image quality.
  • newegg AMD TrueAudio Technology AMD TrueAudio technology brings the world’s first programmable audio pipeline marking a new frontier in realism for PC gamers. AMD TrueAudio technology empowers game developers with a programmable audio pipeline on the GPU, inviting them to put their unique artistic fingerprint on in-game audio in the same way that the programmable graphics pipeline brought unfettered artistic vision to PC graphics. Enabled games can feature more realistic environmental dynamics, a richer tapestry of sound effects, breathtaking directional audio and more. AMD TrueAudio technology enhances audio realism by simulating the human brain’s perception of real-world sound, working in concert with the user’s existing audio hardware to recreate a lifelike experience.
  • newegg AMD Eyefinty Technology Run multiple displays from a single graphics board and expand your gaming field of view across all displays.
  • newegg AMD App Acceleration AMD App Accelerator creates a “co-processing” environment in which the compute processing potential in your AMD Radeon Graphics processor works together with the system central processor, to accelerate enabled applications.

1 out of 5 eggsCard is Not Worth the Trouble

Pros: - Hard to say, was easy to install. Ran games beautifully "when" it ran

Cons: - Games crashes within 20-30 (if lucky) with black screens and white screens forcing you to hard reset your PC
- Runs hot, loud and power hungry (all typical AMD)
- On 2nd Card (RMA original) waiting on what PowerColor's going to say

Other Thoughts: Bought this during black Friday spent months trying self fixes from online (reinstalling drivers, updating bios, tweaking Catalyst settings) All are jumping through hoops trying to get this card to work. This card is NOT worth it if it was free if you can't use it. Been working with PowerColor again via email (more hoops) with this second card. Even reimaging my PC. Who has time for this? I wanted this card to work. Tried everything. Even asked PowerColor if they had BIOS upgrade for card as well as could upgrade to R9 290x (or something!) because I'm tried of trying to get this thing to work. It just won't work! Every gamer loves the holidays or vacation time to catch up on gaming. I spent all of mine troubleshooting this card because I thought the price was a steal. No please stay away! Now waiting game to see what PowerColor says about this 2nd card. Until then putting my 7850 back in that worked.

1 out of 5 eggsCard fails 3-5 times a day.

Pros: None.

Cons: When you purchase a card for this much money you except a stable card no matter the power. It was a nice card for about month. Now it fails everyday. Even while watching a youtube video. This card was a horrible dicision and i'm glad newegg is out of stock. DONT RESTOCK

Other Thoughts: I've just contacted support and I will see how they respond if me and my company ever deals with these guys again.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal garbage

Pros: - When it's working, it performs well

Cons: - Dies 3-4 times a day
- Black screen which requires you to hold power button and do a full restart
- Makes a terrible roaring sound randomly

Other Thoughts: Powercolor should be ashamed of this product.

3 out of 5 eggsWas a great card

Pros: Ran everything I throw at it. Ran very smooth

Cons: Have had the card for just over one year . Now the card just stops working after 10 min of surfing the web, not even play any games. Replaced the power supply thinking that was the problem, tried uninstalling driver and reinstall, even installed the card in another computer, no dice. Will have to wait an see if they honor their 2 year warranty. I really did like this card.

Other Thoughts: It Needs a lot of power.......

1 out of 5 eggsGreat card if it worked

Pros: This is a great card ran BF4 on Ultra present at 80FPS for a good solid 2 minutes

Cons: worked for only 2minutes ,card didn't overheat.
last temp was 66°C as I closed BF4
just the cheapest brand of the R9 290 you can find and hopefully it'll work

Other Thoughts: ,I RMA'd it for a replacmnet but turned out it was out of stock so I got my money back and got a gigabyte version of the card instead ,more stable performance

1 out of 5 eggsLousy card, get one from any other company

Pros: It runs fine when it runs

Cons: If you don't mind your game crashing every 10-20 minutes, the company drivers taking literally two days to download to not fix the driver issue, and a really hot graphics card then this card is for you.
If you like your games to run buy any other card, if i'm lucky i can MAYBE get an hour or so without a driver crash kicking me from what i'm playing, and if i'm lucky only one or two computer restarts a day to fix a black screem.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We apologize regarding your experience with the video card.

If driver download speed are too slow from our website, please try the drivers on AMD's website first. If that still does not work, please email us at support.usa@powercolor.com and we'll see what we can do to help with providing the latest drivers directly.

Also all of our VGA cards are covered with 2 years warranty. If you are not satisfied with your current card, please email us at support.usa@powercolor.com and our technician can help with the RMA process as soon as possible.

4 out of 5 eggshad to RMA

Pros: now I've seen this card perform outstanding task gaming ,and stays under 70°C if you have a good case and air flow

Cons: had to RMA ,The card did not display anything on 2 builds one with 750w and 1000w ,Intel and AMD ,wish they could have tested the card. before sending it ,now I have to wait 10 days for a new one to come in
just stay away from the product, I know its cheap 230$ ,but you might get a better experience with like a XFX or a sapphire

1 out of 5 eggsTrust the reviews!

Pros: Cheap cost

Cons: Legendary unreliability. Flaws detected on hour one. I wish I'm kidding. What an amazing card, never buy anything from these guys. I wish I listened to the other reviewers. Card started crashing at 75 degrees C while doing medium-heavy graphics tasks, and now it artifacts as soon as any sort of 3D game is launched. Stay the fsck away from this product, and this company.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic card

Pros: This card is fantastic for me so far. I can run planetside 2 at ultra, black ops 3 beta, sniper elite 3 and dayz all aswell on ultra. This card is very good for the price, and so far I've not experienced a single crash being the card's fault.

Cons: While it is a very high preforming card, it also can get hot like other r9 290's. I had my rig using only one chassis fan however and it barely ever went over 80 celsius. If you're looking to overclock however I'd suggest purchasing a aftermarket cooler.

Other Thoughts: So far, the cards been a huge change from my old HP Pavvilon. ALso, I've used a 600b 600w EVGA power supply for the last month with this card and it hasn't really shown any problems relating to it. While it does suggest getting a 750w, if you're not going to do anything like overclocking a 550-600w is perfectly fine. Get either a corsair or a 600b.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works fine, great performance

Cons: Runs very hot, (90C)

Other Thoughts: I installed it with two separate power cords
this thing heats up my office in a hurry however...almost needs watercooling.
