3 out of 5 eggsNice but..

Pros: runs lots of games great, great price.

Cons: Severe coil wine coming from my card under load

Other Thoughts: it works great and the fans are silent but coil whine is ridiculously loud, thinking of getting it replaced

5 out of 5 eggsBest Performance/Price Ratio

Pros: - Runs everything on ultra 1080p (minus AA/physx) at 60fps
- Idle/Max Temp 32C/68C with 25C ambient
- Plenty of room to overclock
- Cheaper than higher end 270x
- Cheaper than any GTX 760 and performs Better

(See other thoughts for more)

Cons: none yet (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: - Waiting until it breaks, too good to be true.
- With low max temps, there is a large overhead for overclocking.
- One of the more unpopular brands out there (like Zotac) but seeming exact performance and reliability as higher priced brands (MSI, EVGA, ASUS, GIGABYTE)

Also just a NVIDIA master race fan boy, who just built a gaming PC for a friend, actually impressed with performance. Especially with mantle on a i7-4790k.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate 1

Pros: I just got this card today and have had no trouble at all. I hear a lot of complaints about it being loud. I'm currently finishing installing drivers so I'll have that in update 2

Cons: None at the moment. Hopefully none in update 2

Other Thoughts: First build :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics Card

Pros: Price (139.99 w/ $30 MIR and $150 in free Steam Games)
Previous reviews, card specs, card size (it's big but not too big).

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: So far this card it great. Didn't run as high on 3DMark as I was expecting but my games still look amazing. Alan Wake, Murdered:Soul Suspect, and especially Tomb Raider look great and run at 60fps. Also, this card is quiet. Cannot hear a thing other than my case fans.
I would recommend this card based on it's performance thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mid-High End Card

Pros: Obvious performance increase over my 560 ti in just about everything, actual multi-display support with more monitors then I'll ever own at one time, low noise (other then the coil whine which is completely blocked by any circumaural headphones including open-air headphones), low temperatures (i'm not actually sure how it fairs against my 560 ti because I used that card on a low circulation set-up, and i'm not going to put it back in just to compare it), and a decent price

Cons: Coil whine as mentioned in pros that is definitely audible when using speakers or no music but completely silent with any circumaural headphones, barely fit in my tower, interferes with any sound card or onboard audio but this doesn't effect me as I use a usb dac 99% of the time, very power demanding but any good quality 650+ psu should be sufficient (i'm not an engineer, but I don't think a 600 watt would have enough power after factoring in your hard drives, cpu, ram, and whatever else)

Other Thoughts: I purchased this on sale for 200$ after reading it has better performance then its competitor that 760 ti, and it just happened to be 15$ cheaper then any 760 ti anyways. When I opened the box I was a little annoyed finding nothing other then a disk, manual, and 2 useless power cords since that just through the price advantage out the window by forcing me to buy display port cords. It was large enough that I had to rearrange everything in my fairly small haf 912, but it was probably a good thing as the jumble of cord definitely harmed airflow. I have no real reason to complain at this graphics card, but I still think 200$ is edgy since you would have to spend around 20-30$ on the cords that other cards come with. All in all it was a good card at 200$, but if you can find any other r9 280 at the same price that comes with cords I would get it (unless you only need hdmi and dvi anyways).

5 out of 5 eggsSweet card

Pros: I just got this card in the mail to replace my xfx 6870. I am very impressed with the construction and performance relative to the xfx card.

The card easily overclocked 10%+ without any graphics glitches/lockups. My previous card basically could not overclock. It also runs very cool, even at 100% utilization the fan is only running at 40-50% to keep the card cool.

This card is also one of the shortest R280 cards, which is good for me since it barely fit with the drive cage installed.
Finally I noticed a large performance increase even in windows, I assume this is due to better hooks for gpu acceleration in the GNC cards.

Cons: Only one I can think of is the price, I got it on sale so I felt it was a good deal at the time.
