4 out of 5 eggsWorth?

Pros: Cheaper then Air.
Delivered in two days with regular shipping.

Cons: Loud as a coffee maker.
Hotter then Hiroshima.
Didn't give me a blow job.

Other Thoughts: Card may not fit in mini atx or itx.

5 out of 5 eggsgood card for the money

Pros: powerful card for the money. regardless of what people say below, it runs quiet in my system. It was a very large performace boost for the cost. I have not experienced any failures or problems with any of the components.

Cons: power hog. it takes two power connectors to run.ended up having to upgrade my power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the Price

Pros: Bought 3 of PowerColor HD 6970's all 3 work out of the box. Decent performance from the cards I myself have 2 in crossfire.

Cons: None I can see

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 hoping to put 3 in Crossfire but the cards are Hugh. I have a Asus Crosshair Formula z 990fx board and they are too close together for 3 on the board.

1 out of 5 eggsGood thing there's accidental damage warranty

Pros: Easy to install. Okay Price.

Cons: In my perspective on how it worked on my computer:

1.) The card doesn't seem to have a long life span.
2.) The card produced ashes on my PCI x16 slot.
3.) GPU leaked oil, it smelled like gasoline. Corroded the connector of my GPU as well.
4.) It feels like it could potentially explode and permanently damage a slot in the motherboard because there were ashes near the PCI x16 slot.
5.) The card may lack compatibility issues with some motherboards causing #1,2,3,4 to happen. A good graphics card should be compatible with many things.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

This is Raymond from PowerColor. Can you take a picture for us, we will examine it and determine the cause of the issue. Raymond.Hsu@powercolor.com.

Best Regards,
Raymond

4 out of 5 eggsOld school GPU, but still good

Pros: decent buy when on sale. I bought this for 109.00 bucks. That's about all I'd pay for it. Over all it's a good card with good cooling. Still capable of playing modern games and still crossfires good which is what I did with another gigabyte 6970 card I was using.

Cons: Now the cons, this card is cheap, I feel maybe its a even cheaper model then there original. The Board is very flimsy although it does come with a good heat sink. One of my chip coolers wasn't even attached. makes me wonder is some third party is slapping them together for power color

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy!

Pros: Easy installation, really fast video update and performance, superior support from our friends at Newegg.com

Cons: After six weeks in service one of the fans had two blades break off. I contacted Newegg who stated the product was outside the return period. Newegg support provided the manufacturer's phone number to affect the two year warrantee process. Upon calling the PowerColor folks I was astounded and befuddled by the demand for $40 to cover repairs of the fan. That means not just a fee but shipping out, waiting for repair and shipping back. Having my computer down for one to three weeks is unacceptable! Newegg support folks were very understanding and implemented an investigation on my behalf grieving the situation with the manufacturer. I will send another review when I get the results of Newegg’s investigation. In the mean time, considering PowerColor's warrantee policy I recommend you avoid this card.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

This is Raymond from PowerColor. Unfortunately, we cannot honor warranty for cards that have been damaged physically. Broken fan blades are usually due to obstructions in a computer case or a loose wire. If you have any further questions, you can email me at Raymond.Hsu@powercolor.com.

Best Regards,
Raymond

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: good performance for the cost (got mine for $99), comes with power adapter

Cons: The size of the card and the PCI power connections are comparable to cards that are much more powerful than it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: great card, other than the super duper loud fans

Cons: the fans are VERY VERY VERY VERY loud. At times, when playing cs:go, when im just walking ingame and not listening to music, i can hear the fans through my headphones (siberia v2)

Other Thoughts: the fans are really loud, i should have gotten a 660

5 out of 5 eggsGreatest Value Out There

Pros: I bought this card to replace another older AMD Card. I also own the Vision Tech AMD 6970 which I paid $180 14 mouths ago This card is almost the exact same and only cost $99. This is was top of the line 24 months ago and cost $300+ back then. Per GPU-Z 2.6 billion transistors ROP/TMU 32/96,1536 shaders unified, Pixel fillrate 28.2 GPixels/sec Texture Filrate 84.5 GTexels/s Bandwidth 160 GB/s, Buswidth 256 bit, 2 MB GDDR 5

Cons: None, does not run hot as others claim...

Other Thoughts: Some ignorant commentor complained about it running hot. He's wrong. I have been doing a load remder test on GPU Z for 15 minutes maxed out and the crad nver got above 62 C at 99 percent load. This person must have other issues such a a poorly vented case , etc. I always use CoolMasterHAF 912 cases. Additional you should have at least 350 wat PS and 50 amps of 12 volt...

3 out of 5 eggsPretty disappointing

Pros: Price

Cons: The performance is well below what I thought it would be. I bought this to play FFXIV on Max settings 1080p, something my last video card couldn't do (HD 7750)
There are times this card has lower performance than the 7750, even with graphics on the preset Standard(Desktop) setting. I can't even achieve a constant 60fps and that's shell shocking to me.
I'm not sure if I just need to overclock this badboy, or if there's some inner beast I haven't figured out to unlock within it yet as it never seems to go past 56% activity but for what I was expecting, going as far as upgrading my PSU for this, it's not as good as I thought it'd be. Maybe mine is just defective?

This isn't necessarily a con but just a fact, it runs at 65c while playing FFXIV.
