4 out of 5 eggsQuadro FX1500

Pros: It works and seems to run cooler than other GPUs.
Doesn't take up a big space like the 8800GTS does.

Cons: -Not SLI-
-Latest drivers for this card from NVidia CRASH my system. Screen flips out and I get black and green lines.
I ended up using the drivers that came with the card.
-Although bench marks say otherwise it doesn't seem much faster then my 8800GTS card when using Photoshop, 3D Animation rendering and Video editing. Strange. Thought I would see a big difference in cards but didn't notice much.
Maybe a few seconds difference but nothing drastic.

Other Thoughts: Might end up getting a different card down the road. Not that impressed for $450 bucks. But I'm used to fast cards and PCs.

Pros: for Linux, proprietary driver is freely available from NVidia and works. Mandriva Linux OS (and likely many other Linuxes) includes the driver by default. OpenGL2.1/mesa works fine. The card has its own cooling fan

Cons: not SLI and never will be, though the "bridge" is included

Other Thoughts: I have not tested it with heavy/professional graphical rendering soft. glxgears gives about 14000 fps. With one DVI monitor at comfortable room temp the card runs at around 45 deg C.

Pros: This is a good work station video card for Solidworks and AutoCad. This card is better than the one I have at work.
I am running XP and and have had good luck with previous Quadro Video cards.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNot for Video Editing

Pros: Great graphics device, fast engine, drives 2 monitors in hi-rez with ease. NVidia drivers are easy to download and install and well suited despite 3rd party manufacturing (I've had issue with ATI in this respect).

Cons: Ads give impression that for video editing, this is the ultimate card. No mention that you can only output 1 Monitor and 1 TV at a time desptite using the breakout box which gives the impression of 2 Monitors + TV. Both PNY and Nvidia need to change their web sites to relect the limit of this card.

For video editors, Parhelia APVe does what you need.

5 out of 5 eggsSolidWorks success

Pros: Renders large 3D models in SolidWorks 2007 with no problems.

Cons: Sure was expensive. Quiets down when the driver loads, but until then it sounds like a leaky air hose.

Other Thoughts: For SolidWorks, use the driver from the SolidWorks website.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: If you're into 3d modelling or video editing and want to go a step over the traditionnal GeForce/Radeon, without having to sell a kidney, this one is great. There are cheaper Quadros, must you might not tell the difference with Gefroces, which are cheaper.
Awesome for applications like Zbrush or Mudbox, where you can manipulate millions of polygons (litteraly)

Cons: Well, sure it's twice more than a good geforce, but we're talking serious professional harware here, not gaming

5 out of 5 eggsNo SLI

Pros: I am considering this card for my build. It is great for rendering with software like maya.

Cons: I just found out that it is not SLI compatable. That Sucks.

Other Thoughts: The SLI thing is making me consider not buying this card, but i may still do it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great graphics card. It is not for games but it does play Supreme Commander without a hitch. I bought this card to go in a new computer. My other computer had the older FX1000 card.

Cons: Price, but I paid more years back for the FX1000 and still use and love that card. This one is way, way faster and flys in After Effects.

Other Thoughts: Don't get this card if you are just playing games. Go for the GF8's. If you use Maya and AE then this is the one you want.
