Pros: Excellent 2d. Very compatible - doesn't cause problems. Low power consumption and thermal output. Does Windows Aero very competently.
Cons: Slightly overpriced for what it is (NVS 290), but it's business workstation class.
Other Thoughts: 2d quality rivals older Matrox cards, and that is saying something. This is a card that you can stare at all day. For those wanting gaming performance, look elsewhere, even though this does some 3d and DirectX 10. When used as intended (ours is in a server environment) it is rock stable and does not compete for power or thermal management.

Works Great

Pros: Dual DVI - After I installed sp1 on my vista machine with a ge force 7300 (dvi and vga) I had flicker on the vga monitor and took three reboots in safe mode everyday before I could start normally. Forget sleep sleep mode. Kinda sucked. Searching the web I found Vista didn't like a dual monitor setup with one port being vga. Something about copy protection. So I thought I would give a true dual dvi card a try. Now I feel "normal" again and can shutdown and use sleep mode with no problems.
Cons: Well, I can't get into my mobo's bios screen anymore. The monitor just flashes and optimum range message for a second. No settings to change on the monitor(s). I am running dual Samsung 204b's
Other Thoughts: I would give it a 5 if I could figure out how to get into my mobo bios again. Not a big deal. I can stick the old video card back in if needed. It would suck if I didn't have that.

better than FX4500

Pros: fanless, low watt, dual DVI @1600x1200, cristal clear
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I just replaced a computer with an FX4500 ($1500) card with new computer that uses this video card. 2D picture is better (I don't do games). This is an excelent card.
