Gotta love PNY
- Pros: You get to have a new one every 6 month
- Cons: Shipping costs to get a new one.
- Other Thoughts: On my third one already. Tends to break on average every half a year. Tech support is pretty good, but can get annoying at times. (They do not seem to get it that power supplies do not come with 26A 12V rails, there is no need to have 312W on a single wire - it's more efficient to have multiple 12V rails at 18A. If PNY9600GT blank screens randomly and PNY9800GT does not, it's not my chipset drivers). If you patient enough to deal with ignorance of customer service agents, service is excellent. Bought one on Newegg mail it out from London to France and got a replacement in two weeks.
It's not bad
- Pros: It will play most games, like Assassins Creed, and Crysis on Medium setting at a good fps rate, and it will play games like Grid, or Demigod on high settings at a good fps rate.
Back when I got it, it cost around $200, so for around $80 its a real good deal. But now for $200 you can get a card a lot better. ^_^
- Cons: This card can get a little toasty, but I never had any problems of games crashing or anything like that.
It requires pretty powerful rails.. at 12v it needs a current of 26A.. My power supply is only like 20A, and it seems to work ok.
Driver problems
- Pros: Decent Performance at a good price
- Cons: Doesn't work with latest Nvidia drivers version 185.85 or later - no video. Older driver versions work ok.
- Other Thoughts: System:
