2 out of 5 eggssure looks cool

Pros: supposedly a great card, ive heard it runs crysis and other graphics heavy games well, however mine is just a cool paperweight

Cons: it doesnt work

Other Thoughts: ive owned the card for 9 months now. from the get go after installing the newest drivers the screen goes black and drops visual. i managed to get passed this by running with drivers from 2007, obviously reducing performance. i recently upgraded to windows 7 which no longer supports the old drivers and im stuck with my onboard card for now. this stupid card has been nothing but trouble and cost me hours on the phone with pny tech support. here are my specs

cooler master 600w PSU w/ 12v rail of 40 amps
4gb ram
amd athlon 4800+ x2

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card for the short time that it works, plays most games at extremely high settings.

Cons: Even at the lowest setting I can get in most games the card overheats and blacks out after at most 15 minutes. the card runs so hot that I am sitting here typing this at 100% fan speed and 49C with -no- load. Hits 75-80c in a game and shuts down in minutes. Unknown if this is a driver issue (keep updating drivers without a fix to it) but the games I can and can not play are all over the board on how much they should use the card.

Other Thoughts: For some unknown reason the only games I seem to be able to play are WoW and borderlands, Games that don't work (just a partial list) AvP, CS, CoD4, Dragon Age, Warcraft 3, Unreal Tournament (yeah the first one), Titan quest, torchlight, Fallout 3, sacred 2....... L4D2 runs with a serious stuttering problem every few minutes. I could take my character limit listing these games.
2 Eggs, cause when it does work it looks like a deity (zombie Driver 2000+ fps lol)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plug it in, grab the newest drivers from Nvidia, no problems. Plays Starcraft II Beta on Ultra Settings (my monitor is only 1440x900 but the benchmarks for this card say it can handle Ultra at 2560x1600). Relatively quiet.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsRebate Info Recieved

Pros: Recieved rebate info, Newegg Replaced the card that arrived DOA, VGA Cards (SLI) run great, FPS is 100+ sometimes but only in heavy intense graphic situations falls below 100 that is a big PRO, because I have never seen the FPS below 60. (Battle Field BC2). Card temps run around 50 celcius underload (this depends on your case air flow).

Cons: The Heatsinks/Fan are not designed to blow the air out of the case. (This is not a big problem because these cards dont run that hot, just have good air flow through your case)

Other Thoughts: Don't play with your fans while they are spinning. :()
I gave an one egg review which was deserving, but felt obligated to offset that with a much deserving 5 egg review. These 9800GTX+ by PNY are truly an amazing piece of hardware if you get one that works.
Keep in mind that older 9800GTX+ are 65nm GPU processing, these are 55nm (more energy efficient)
I can't spell but you know what I mean.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Ever!

Pros: This Card is great. i replaced my old 8600 gt with this 9800GTX+ and i love it! it runs Crysis on my beast on high, and Half-life 2: episode 2 at an average of 212FPS. it also makes Source's HDR tech shine! installed drivers easily on windows and linux.

Cons: card is long! I had to move my primary hard drive down 2 spots to accommodate the card. it is the max length a card can be and still fit and a full case.

Other Thoughts: i love gaming on this card! my system specs:
MSI NF750-G55,
AMD Phenom II X4 (3.00 gz, 3.7 overclocked),
4 gb DDR3 ram,
500 Earth Watts,
Antec case,
Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX+

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems with SLI

Pros: Used this card along with a EVGA I already had installed to try out SLI. No problems at all and bumped up my 3Dmark score by 1000. No idea if that is good, but had built a rig for trying SLI over a year ago and just now able to afford the second card.

Cons: Seems a little flimsier than the EVGA card I already had, but cheaper so somewhat expected.

1 out of 5 eggsREBATE???

Pros: RMA Replacement Card works Great!

Cons: My rebate should have posted by now, no news

Other Thoughts: After I had to RMA, I got my rebate sent in in plenty of time, but rebate processing center has failed to post anything. I have sent many rebates and gotten all of them, and processing usually post by the end of rebate date but for some reason this is taking longer than usual. I'm beginning to wonder. I have copies of rebate info so PNY should step up and resolve their rebate issues because all in all after RMA I have about $145 in this card. So a rebate would be nice.

5 out of 5 eggsActually....... #2 review

Pros: The fan really isn't that loud. Seperated the 2 cards I have in 2 seperate PCs and one fan is louder than the other at same speeds may depend on luck of the draw which one you get. Don't know why they are different but just one of those things. My wife doesn't complain about it so I'm happy.

Cons: No cons on this card. Other than a RMA, and rebates take up to 3 months after deadline

Other Thoughts: I have 2 other 9800GTX+ and they have loud fans, these cards replaced them and they are 1GB. Although these are 512MB they run better than my old 9800GTX+ 1GB could be the 55nm GPU. Why waste 3,4,5 hundred bucks when these have plenty of video graphics power for Games and Apps. I bought the latest and greatest before and never again. I'll spend my savings on my kids not overpriced hardware. But thats just me, Thanks for reading.

5 out of 5 eggsLow Power consumption High Power output :)

Pros: I have two of these, soon to be in SLI. Unfortunatly the second one bought from newegg failed to display (QC). RMA and got another quickly. It works great! I really like the fact that the GPU is a 55nm most other 9800GTX+ cards are 65nm (higher power consumption. newegg should list this in specs discription.) if full power isn't utillized the GPU speed is cut in half saving power and lowering your temps. PNY has always been great on rebates, I've never had any issues with rebates on anything bought from newegg, hope that never changes. The newer Graphics cards may support DirectX11 but for now and the next few years these cards in SLI will run All Games and Apps at high settings providing 60FPS+ hitting 140FPS, like Battle Field Bad Company 2. Considering I 'm also running a Q9550 CPU with 4GB DDR3 1600 memory on Win7. I'm not bragging just giving you an Idea of somthing to compair to.

Cons: Had to pay return shipping for RMA :( $10 all in all it was worth it. Though I think PNY could up their QC. I just better get my rebate :)

Other Thoughts: 5 eggs because this card absollutly ROCKS for $100. If your playing Games and need a good fps, this card is for you. Fan is a bit loud but with headphones or high volume you don't notice it.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Great

Pros: Very nice card for its age it still keeps up with games nowadays, maybe not Crisis maxed out but I haven't played it.

Cons: It runs just a smidgen hot on auto fan control settings, that is when it is running a game on maxed out visual settings with the fan only at 30%
